Chapter 407 I Meet with Them
"Mr. Robinson, it's the middle of the night. Why aren't you sleeping? What are you doing up?"
Elizabeth yawned, and just as she was about to yawn a second time, Timothy interrupted her.
"Stefan went to help someone and ended up getting set up himself. I don't really want to help him, but I don't want Seraphina to be put in an awkward position." Timothy said this expressionlessly, then sent a message, immediately ordering his people to rescue Stefan.
He was fuming inside.
He hadn't expected Stefan to actually fall for the trap, without any sense of caution at all.
Stefan was already preparing to get married, yet he still went to show sympathy for another woman.
After hearing what Timothy said, Elizabeth sat up and leaned against the headboard. "What happened?"
Timothy put his phone on the nightstand. He reached out and pulled Elizabeth into his arms, explaining briefly, "That woman called Grace—someone knocked on her door tonight. Stefan took her to a hotel, they went into a room, and not long after, Jane also entered the room."
Elizabeth fell silent.
She closed her eyes, suppressing her own urge to get angry.
At that moment, in the hotel room.
Jane had already stripped off Stefan's clothes and her own clothes.
She held her phone in her hand, ready to take intimate photos of her and him.
Stefan was unconscious, so they obviously couldn't actually have relations, but taking a few intimate photos was still possible!
"I wonder if Seraphina will feel sick enough to throw up when she sees these photos."
Jane laughed with triumphant excitement. She picked up her phone, ready to capture it all, her heart filled with malicious satisfaction.
She could already picture Seraphina heartbroken over these photos.
"How pitiful!"
Just as she pressed the shutter button, the room door was suddenly pushed open forcefully.
Jane turned her head in shock to see several bodyguards rushing in quickly.
"Who are you!"
Jane quickly covered herself with the blanket, screaming her question.
The bodyguards remained calm and ignored her shouting.
The lead bodyguard directed two men to take Stefan away, blanket and all.
Jane instantly lost the blanket covering her body. She hugged herself, staring at these men in terror.
One of the bodyguards picked up Jane's phone to check it. Seeing the photo already taken inside, he nodded to the lead bodyguard.
The group entered the room and left in less than three minutes.
The room fell quiet once again.
After Jane calmed down, she let out a scream and grabbed a pillow from the bed, throwing it on the floor.
Her scream echoed through the room.
Jane stared at the pillow on the floor, a flash of resentment crossing her mind.
Who had interrupted her plan!
Jane got out of bed and quickly put on her clothes. As she passed Grace lying unconscious on the floor, she angrily kicked her several times.
"Bitch!"
Sloane was woken up by a phone call.
She looked at the empty space on the left side of the bed—Tommy hadn't come home to sleep tonight.
As soon as she pressed the answer button, she heard Jane's angry and out-of-control voice.
"Sloane, I was going to take some intimate photos of Stefan and me tonight, but a group of people showed up halfway through and rescued Stefan!"
After hearing Jane's out-of-control voice, Sloane frowned deeply.
Sloane's mind was now fully awake from wanting to sleep—things might have gotten complicated.
"Jane, calm down first. Who rescued Stefan?" Sloane quickly analyzed the possible situations in her mind. "Someone who could rescue Stefan at this time might be sent by Seraphina's side, or it could be his own people."
Actually, what Sloane was most worried about was whether it could be Elizabeth or Timothy.
If it was them, that would prove they knew everything Jane was planning to do.
Jane scratched her hair somewhat irritably. "I don't know who it was. Everything was going so smoothly."
Sloane frowned. She said calmly, "Don't provoke Stefan for a while."
"Are we just going to give up like this?" Jane was really frustrated. She had wanted to create trouble for Seraphina, but unexpectedly didn't succeed.
"After this incident, Stefan will probably be on guard." Sloane felt regretful.
The next day, Timothy got up as usual, changed clothes, and took Seraphina and Brandon out to exercise.
When they returned from exercising, Seraphina smiled when she saw Stefan standing in the living room. "Stefan, why are you here so early today?"
Stefan now came every morning to pick up Seraphina for work.
After Stefan woke up, he learned from the bodyguards about how he had almost been successfully set up last night.
If Timothy hadn't sent people to rescue him in time, he could guess what the consequences would have been.
"Seraphina, I'm sorry." Stefan apologized.
Seraphina was stunned for a moment, wondering why he was suddenly apologizing to her.
Timothy lightly patted Brandon's bottom, telling Brandon to go wash up and eat breakfast by himself.
Brandon made an OK gesture and climbed upstairs by himself.
Seraphina looked at Timothy's cold expression, then at Elizabeth's indifferent expression, sensing something was wrong.
"Why are you apologizing? What happened?" Seraphina asked in confusion.
Stefan was silent for a moment, then explained concisely, "Last night, I was set up. Grace called saying she was being harassed. I went to help arrange accommodation for her, but she sprayed me with some kind of drug. Fortunately, Mr. Robinson sent people to rescue me in time."
Seraphina frowned.
"Grace is someone Jane sent." Stefan's tone was calm, but a flash of coldness crossed his eyes.
It seemed he needed to transfer some bodyguards from Majestic City.
When Seraphina heard it was Jane, she turned to look at Timothy. "Dad, what is she trying to do? Is she trying to disgust me?"
What's wrong with Jane!
Timothy's eyes were deep and sharp as he looked at Stefan.
Seraphina knew Timothy was angry.
Stefan also sensed Timothy was angry.
Seraphina and Stefan stood there obediently.
Elizabeth poured Timothy a glass of water. She knew Timothy was actually not very satisfied with Stefan's performance this time.
Timothy took the water Elizabeth handed him and took a sip. He put down the glass, raised his head to look at Stefan and Seraphina.
"Stefan," Timothy's tone was calm but stern, "showing sympathy for other women should still come with caution."
Stefan instantly felt extremely embarrassed. "Mr. Robinson, Mrs. Robinson, I'm sorry. What happened last night won't happen a second time. I'll be more careful and cautious from now on, and won't give people with bad intentions another chance."
"Remember what you said today," Timothy said lightly. "Seraphina, you should also go get ready for breakfast. Don't you have an important meeting today?"
"Okay, Dad."
After Seraphina got herself ready and ate breakfast, she and Stefan left the house.
Timothy turned to look at Elizabeth, showing a helpless smile. "Elizabeth, while I'm still alive, I still can't bear to let Seraphina handle these kinds of things."
Elizabeth and Timothy had originally wanted to let Seraphina handle these sinister and malicious matters herself as experience, but now Timothy still felt sorry for Seraphina.
Elizabeth smiled and kissed him. "Mr. Robinson, I'll listen to you."
Timothy's eyes softened, his tone carrying a hint of coldness. "I'll take Brandon to school first, then have someone bring Jane and Tommy over. I'll meet with them."
