Chapter 406 Stefan Bewitched
After spending half an hour, Timothy finally got Brandon all cleaned up.
He took a small bath towel and wrapped Brandon in it.
"Daddy, it's your turn now. Hurry up and take off your clothes," Brandon commanded eagerly, holding the shower head in his hand.
Timothy chuckled softly.
He unbuttoned his shirt.
Today he'd gone out wearing a white shirt, but came back with a colorful one. He took off his clothes.
Brandon patted his own soft little belly, then blinked his eyes looking at Timothy's stomach.
"My belly is still the cutest," Brandon said, full of himself.
"Yes, yes, yes, yours is the cutest," Timothy glanced at Brandon's soft, chubby belly and stretched out his leg for Brandon to wash. "Go ahead and wash."
"Daddy, why aren't you taking off your pants to shower?" Brandon looked at Timothy's boxers and pouted. "Daddy, you won't get clean like that."
Timothy was speechless. Of course he wouldn't take off his pants in front of Brandon. Brandon seemed to have a million questions to ask, going on and on.
"Your mommy's calling you to eat something."
This trick worked well. When Brandon heard there was food, even his toes wiggled with excitement.
Brandon quickly handed the shower head back to Timothy. "Daddy, you wash yourself. I'm going to find Mommy."
Brandon, wrapped in his little towel, left the bathroom on his short little legs. He was going to find Mommy.
Having gotten rid of Brandon, Timothy quickly washed off the colored ink from his body.
In the middle of the night, it started raining.
Stefan's phone on the nightstand rang.
He was woken by the ringtone, opened his eyes, and reached over to the nightstand to grab his phone.
He looked at the caller ID - it was Grace calling.
"Mr. Hensley, please help me. Someone keeps knocking on my door every hour or two."
Grace's voice on the other end was filled with fear and anxiety.
Stefan frowned and glanced at the time. "Have you called the police?"
"Yes, the officer told me to stay with friends or relatives for now. I, I..." Grace was probably too scared, her words coming out in fragments. "I just came to Border Ridge City, I don't know where to go."
"Where are you now?"
"At the police station."
Stefan listened to Grace's panicked voice on the phone and rubbed his temples. "Send me your location, I'll come pick you up."
Grace quickly responded, "Okay, I'll send it to you right away."
Stefan got up, quickly changed his clothes, grabbed his car keys, and drove to the police station.
When he arrived at the station.
Stefan saw Grace sitting in the lobby looking somewhat helpless.
When Grace saw him arrive, a hint of relief flashed in her eyes. "Mr. Hensley, thank you for coming."
Stefan nodded. "I've booked you a safe hotel. Let's go, I'll take you there."
Grace hesitated for a moment, then said quietly, "Is the hotel really safe? I'm a bit scared to be alone right now."
She looked like she was about to cry.
Stefan saw that Grace was too anxious, and there wasn't much he could do.
As a man, Stefan couldn't possibly bring Grace home to stay, and his parents Damon and Kennedy weren't in Border Ridge City either - they had already flown back to Majestic City to prepare for Stefan and Seraphina's wedding.
"Don't worry, this hotel has very good security measures," Stefan explained calmly.
Grace lowered her head and thought for a while, finally nodding. "Okay, let's go to the hotel then. I'm really sorry to trouble you tonight."
Stefan took Grace from the police station and drove her to the hotel he'd booked earlier.
Throughout the journey, Grace was emotionally unstable and tense.
After arriving at the hotel, he helped her check in and walked her to her room door. "If you have any problems, you can call the hotel front desk."
Grace bit her lip and nodded, forcing out a smile. "Thank you, Mr. Hensley. I'm really sorry to trouble you tonight."
Stefan nodded slightly, maintaining his usual calm and polite manner.
He had just turned to leave when Grace grabbed his sleeve.
Grace quickly let go of his sleeve, looking embarrassed and uneasy. "Mr. Hensley, could you come into the room with me first to check if there's anyone inside?"
Her voice got lower and lower. She seemed genuinely afraid there might be strangers in the room.
Stefan saw she was really too scared and nodded. "I'll go in with you to check."
He walked ahead, opened the door, and went in. Grace followed behind him, deliberately not closing the door all the way.
Stefan checked every corner of the room, including the bathroom and closet. After confirming there were no problems, he turned to Grace and said, "The room is safe, there's nothing wrong."
Grace breathed a sigh of relief, her tense expression easing a bit. She said gratefully, "Thank you, Mr. Hensley. You've really helped me a lot."
She'd said thank you many times tonight.
Stefan nodded slightly. Both of them maintained a safe distance. "Get some rest early. If you need anything, contact the hotel front desk anytime."
Grace pulled out a small pepper spray from her pocket. What she had inside wasn't actually pepper spray, but a knockout spray.
This kind of drug would make someone pass out after two or three sprays.
Thinking she had pepper spray, Stefan didn't guard against it.
Grace pretended to accidentally press the nozzle. "I want to test if this still works. I bought it a long time ago."
Stefan instinctively frowned and immediately sensed something was wrong. He quickly raised his hand to cover his nose.
But that strange scent had already started spreading through the air.
He immediately snatched the spray from Grace's hand and sprayed it at her.
Grace's expression showed some panic, as if she hadn't expected Stefan to react so quickly.
She inhaled a larger dose of the drug and soon passed out.
Stefan took two steps toward leaving, but his body swayed unsteadily, and unable to support himself, he also collapsed on the floor.
After some unknown amount of time, the room door was gently pushed open, and someone walked into the room wearing high heels.
