Chapter 395: Can You Arrange It?
Seraphina's eyes met Jane's in mid-air, both women sizing each other up.
They quickly looked away.
Jane stood there with her slim waist and long legs, strikingly beautiful, definitely catching quite a few eyes.
Wilmer enthusiastically introduced Jane to Finnley and Mike.
After everyone introduced themselves, Jane sat down next to Wilmer.
Despite Wilmer's enthusiasm, he was actually worried about this picnic going wrong, knowing that Jane liked Stefan.
Stefan was a bit surprised to see that Wilmer and Jane knew each other.
Jane looked at Brandon sitting next to Seraphina across from her and praised, "Whose kid is that? He's so cute."
Seraphina took the drink Stefan had just poured and gave it to Brandon, "Brandon, the barbecue will take a while longer. Have this first."
Brandon took the cup with both hands, smiling, "Okay."
Brandon looked up at his sister, thanked her first, then politely nodded at Jane across from him, "Thank you, ma'am, for saying I'm cute."
Jane's smile froze slightly. Being called "ma'am" annoyed her a bit, but she didn't show it.
Stefan glanced at Brandon, then at Seraphina, his eyes full of tenderness and affection.
He was in charge of grilling for Seraphina and Brandon.
Wilmer asked Jane what she wanted to eat, saying he'd grill it for her.
Jane smiled faintly, trying to appear casual, "Whatever you grill is fine."
Though she was smiling on the surface, she was actually quite irritated inside. This barbecue looked so unhygienic!
When she looked up and saw Seraphina and Stefan across from her exchanging loving glances and showing off their relationship, she felt even more uncomfortable and frustrated.
Stefan finished grilling a small sausage for Brandon.
After Brandon took it, he blew on it to cool it down, took a small bite - delicious.
As he was eating, he suddenly noticed Jane across from him looking at him strangely.
Brandon silently wondered: Does Jane like sausages? But this sausage is so good, he really doesn't want to give it to her.
Brandon didn't think about it for long. He quickly just kept eating it himself.
He wasn't close to Jane anyway.
Everyone ate barbecue and chatted casually.
Wilmer and the others were pretty funny, and Jane laughed several times chatting with them.
She deliberately asked Seraphina with a smile, "Ms. Penrose, you and Stefan seem to have such a good relationship. It's really enviable."
Seraphina raised her eyebrows and smiled lightly, "We're a perfect match - talented and beautiful. Our relationship is great, we really click."
Jane was amused by Seraphina's shameless "perfect match" comment. She nodded, "You two really are well-matched."
Seraphina calmly ate the lamb skewer Stefan fed her, taking time to reply to Jane, "Ms. Robinson is so beautiful, you'll definitely find a boyfriend even better than Stefan in the future."
Finnley, not understanding the subtle jabs between Seraphina and Jane, said very straightforwardly, "Men like Stefan are pretty rare to find."
Seraphina smiled, "I'm sure Ms. Robinson will find one, so you don't need to be jealous of me."
This comment almost made Jane lose her smile. Who's jealous of you!
Brandon wiped his mouth, "Sister, I'm full. Can we go see the animals now?"
"Sure."
Seraphina had eaten enough too, so she simply took Brandon to tour the farm. Stefan naturally went along with Brandon and Seraphina.
After the three of them left.
Wilmer laughed, "They really look like a family of three."
Jane felt like coming here today was a mistake - she was just asking to be upset. Why did she come to this place to watch Seraphina and them show off their relationship?
She casually asked, "Is that little boy Stefan's relative?"
"No, he's Seraphina's brother," Wilmer said.
Jane was stunned when she heard this, her voice rising slightly as she asked, "You said he's Seraphina's brother? Her real brother?"
She sounded a bit excited.
Wilmer noticed Jane's excited reaction and found it strange. He said puzzled, "Of course he's real. What's wrong?"
Jane pinched her palm and forced a smile, "Just curious, since there's such a big age gap between the siblings. By the way, what's his name?"
Wilmer didn't suspect anything from her question. After all, the age gap between Seraphina and her sibling was indeed large. He replied, "Brandon."
Timothy and Elizabeth actually have another child! So that little boy's back they photographed at the airport must have been Brandon!
Jane suppressed her inner anger, forced a smile, stood up and said goodbye, "Wilmer, sorry, I just remembered I have something urgent to handle. I have to go now. Let's meet up another time."
Wilmer watched Jane's hurried departure, not even having time to say anything.
Seraphina and the others took Brandon to play around. When they returned to the barbecue area, Jane was already gone.
The door to the Robinson Group chairman's office was forcefully pushed open.
Jane stormed into Sloane's office, her face full of anger.
The assistant stood at the door looking somewhat helpless. Unlike Stefan, he wasn't capable enough to stop her and could only watch helplessly as Jane barged into the office.
Sloane was startled by Jane's sudden entrance. She put down the document in her hand, her brows slightly furrowed, "Jane, what happened? Why are you so angry?"
Jane slammed the door shut.
"Sloane, Timothy and Elizabeth really do have another son! Who did you get to investigate before? How did they miss this!"
Sloane's calm expression instantly froze, her brows slightly furrowed, "How do you know?"
Jane was somewhat frantic. She clenched her hands into fists, almost grinding her teeth as she said, "I just found out today! I went to the farm with Wilmer and the others today, and Seraphina and them were there too."
"I saw it with my own eyes. That little boy is called Brandon, and he's Seraphina's real brother! Timothy and Elizabeth actually hid this secret so well. How did we not find out before?"
Sloane's expression gradually became complicated when she heard this news.
She slowly leaned back in her chair, her brows tightly knit.
"This means Elizabeth and them value this child especially. We didn't find out before probably because they did a very good job protecting his privacy."
Sloane's eyes became sharp. She said slowly, "Jane, what do you think of Stefan? Is his relationship with Seraphina really good?"
Her topic suddenly shifted to Stefan.
Jane thought about watching them show off their relationship at the farm and frowned, "Sloane, what are you trying to say?"
Sloane lowered her eyes, hiding a flash of calculation, and smiled faintly, "If I found a woman to seduce Stefan, do you think it would work?"
Jane's eyes instantly lit up, "That's a great idea! Seraphina would probably be heartbroken!"
Sloane pretended to frown, "However, trying to seduce Stefan would probably be very difficult. Stefan doesn't seem like someone who's easily tempted. Too bad, this method won't work. Once there's a crack in a relationship, it's very hard to fix."
What Sloane said gave Jane an idea.
Jane showed an excited expression. She had a new plan, "Sloane, actually, we don't necessarily have to really seduce Stefan. We can create some false impressions to make Seraphina misunderstand. Then they'll have suspicions between them, and their relationship will naturally crack."
Just thinking about Seraphina misunderstanding that Stefan cheated - Seraphina loves Stefan so much, she definitely won't be able to handle it!
Sloane looked at Jane with satisfaction and smiled faintly, "Jane, that's a great idea. I'll leave this matter for you to arrange. Can you do it?"
Jane nodded happily, "Don't worry, Sloane, leave this to me!"
