Chapter 383 Everyone Thought She Was Dead
Right after Timothy said he disagreed with Seraphina marrying into the Hensley family,
he heard Seraphina say quietly, "Dad, Stefan just messaged me. He said he wants to become part of our family."
Timothy snorted coldly and didn't want to talk.
He didn't want to be like Manuel, making his children unhappy because of his own preferences.
"Seraphina, you decide for yourself."
"Thank you, Dad. Mom, what about you?" Seraphina asked, holding Elizabeth's arm.
Elizabeth said, "In our family, your dad makes the decisions."
Seraphina covered her mouth and smiled. Clearly, Elizabeth was the one who really called the shots in this family.
"Mom, please rest assured. If Stefan can't convince Ms. Hope, I won't marry him."
Stefan, still in his car downstairs at Port City Garden, sent the message to Seraphina, then turned to look at Kennedy sitting in the back seat with a cold expression.
"Mom, I'm not planning to go back to Majestic City anymore. I've already told Dione that I'll move into their house. You and Dad are still healthy—you can consider having another child to inherit the company."
Hearing Stefan's increasingly outrageous words, Kennedy clutched her chest in disbelief.
"For such a fat woman, you're treating your parents like this? What's so good about her? She has no looks, no family background."
Kennedy was so angry she had to laugh!
Stefan smiled gently, "Mom, you two are still young. Better hurry up. I'll send you back to Majestic City tomorrow."
"You, you, you—are you trying to make me die of anger?" Kennedy never expected that Stefan, her pride and joy, would turn out like this.
Facing Kennedy's intense reaction, Stefan said gently but firmly, "Mom, I'm not trying to upset you on purpose. Just think of dating as the most important thing in my life."
Kennedy was so angry she couldn't speak.
She had raised Stefan to be so excellent since childhood, only to have him make such a decision for Seraphina, whom she considered worthless.
Kennedy was disappointed and furious.
Damon quietly didn't dare to interrupt.
Stefan decided, "I'll take you to the airport tomorrow."
This unfilial son!
Kennedy angrily opened the car door and got out.
Stefan looked at Damon and immediately switched to a pleading tone, "Dad, I'll leave Mom to you. I won't be going back to Majestic City for now."
Damon rolled his eyes without caring about his image, "Got it."
Damon and Stefan both understood Kennedy's personality well enough—she would eventually come around on her own.
Damon opened the door and got out, slowly going after Kennedy.
Kennedy walked angrily down the road, full of anger and dissatisfaction.
She had thought that after getting out of the car, Damon and Stefan would immediately chase after her to comfort her. But she had already walked out of the residential area, and not a single person came after her!
She couldn't help feeling even more wronged.
She did all that for Stefan's own good.
Walking out of the residential area and looking at the quiet road, Kennedy suddenly realized there were very few cars on this road—it wouldn't be easy to get a taxi.
Her anger grew even more. She stopped in annoyance and looked back, finally seeing Damon jogging over.
He had a helpless smile on his face. Walking up to Kennedy, his tone was somewhat soothing, "Alright, don't be angry. Let's ignore that unfilial son. We'll go back to Majestic City tomorrow and disown him."
Kennedy turned her head away and said unhappily, "You father and son are cut from the same cloth, both know how to make me angry. Look at Stefan—now for a girl he's even saying he'll move into her house. No ambition!"
Damon nodded in full agreement, "Right, no ambition. We'll just pretend we don't have this son."
After saying this, he glanced at Kennedy's angry yet conflicted expression and found it amusing.
The next day, Damon and Kennedy left Border Ridge City.
Stefan received a message from Damon.
[Stefan, your mom and I are heading back. As for Dione's family, you're on your own]
Looking at Damon's gleeful message, Stefan sighed helplessly. What should have been a good thing had now turned into trouble.
From last night until now, Seraphina hadn't replied to any of his messages.
In the morning, Stefan went to a meeting with Sloane. During lunch break, Stefan called Seraphina directly.
At that moment, Seraphina was eating in the Seraphina Enterprises cafeteria. Seeing the caller ID, she hung up directly.
There was no way she would forgive him easily.
Seeing the call rejected, Stefan frowned slightly, then smiled.
He knew she must be very unhappy about this meeting with the parents.
He switched to sending messages to smooth things over.
That was all he could do now—try to make peace.
[Dione, I was wrong. Please talk to me, okay?]
Of course, this message also sank without a trace, receiving no reply.
After work that evening, Stefan deliberately left on time and went to wait at Seraphina Enterprises.
When Seraphina walked out of the company entrance, she immediately spotted Stefan standing there.
She paused slightly.
Stefan walked toward Seraphina.
Just then, a red sports car suddenly stopped beside them.
The window rolled down, and Stanley, who looked like a playboy, stuck his head out and called happily to Seraphina, "Seraphina, get in, quick."
Seraphina first looked at Stefan, "Stefan, I have plans tonight. I'm leaving."
She opened the back door.
Stanley called out, "Seraphina, why aren't you sitting in front?"
Seraphina bent down and got in the car, closing the door and scolding, "Next time you come pick me up, don't drive this kind of small car. Don't you know I'm fat?"
"My bad!" Stanley apologized, then his gaze fell on Stefan with a hint of curiosity before looking away.
The car drove off.
"Seraphina, was that Stefan you always mention?"
"Yeah," Seraphina nodded, her tone slightly teasing, "That's him. Handsome, right?"
Stanley snorted proudly, "Not as handsome as me. Just average!"
Seraphina was speechless, "You're really full of yourself."
Stanley immediately checked himself in the mirror. The person in the mirror was really too handsome.
Stefan stood in place, his gaze darkening as he watched the departing sports car.
He rubbed his temples. Dione was going to be a bit hard to win back this time.
And who was that guy just now?
The car drove all the way to a club.
After getting out, Stanley personally went to open the door for Seraphina, "Ms. Penrose, please."
Seraphina got out of the car and deliberately acted haughty, raising her chin, "Stanley, thanks."
Stanley closed the door and protested, "Do you think I'm your employee?"
The two walked into the club laughing and chatting.
The club's interior was luxuriously decorated. As soon as they entered the lobby, a manager came forward to lead them to their reserved private room.
"This way, please."
Stanley nodded slightly and followed the manager, while Seraphina leisurely looked around at the surroundings.
"This place is pretty nice," Seraphina commented.
Stanley puffed out his chest proudly, "Look who opened it."
"You opened it?" Seraphina turned to look at the smug Stanley.
Stanley nodded and lowered his voice, "My uncle and I opened this place together."
The uncle Stanley mentioned was Albert, who was already in his forties but still loved to have fun.
Just as they mentioned Albert, the man himself appeared ahead, wearing a floral shirt and with his arm around a young beauty.
Seeing Stanley, Albert immediately let go of the beauty and walked over quickly, "Stanley, didn't your dad kick you out? You still dare to come here and play? Who's this girl?"
Albert was just curious.
So fat.
Stanley said quietly, "Seraphina, my good friend. Mr. Robinson and Ms. Penrose's daughter."
Albert dug at his ear. He was very sensitive to these two surnames. "Whose daughter did you say?"
Seraphina smiled, "Mr. Sanchez, hello. My father is Timothy."
Stanley said something to Albert and left, pulling Seraphina along, leaving Albert standing there stunned.
If you asked who Albert least wanted to see in his life, it would be Timothy and Elizabeth. These two were his psychological trauma.
Wait, wasn't Seraphina dead?
Seraphina followed Stanley to the private room.
She had agreed to Stanley's invitation to come here today because Timothy had asked her to.
Seraphina understood Timothy's meaning—she should appear in public now.
Otherwise, everyone would think she was dead.
