Chapter 354 Holding Sloane
Seraphina ate the breakfast her bodyguard had bought in the car first, then got out carrying the loving breakfast of Italian pasta that Timothy had cooked.
She planned to save the pasta to heat up for lunch.
Save the not-so-good stuff for later.
When she got out of the car, she happened to run into Jacob. They greeted each other, and Jacob took Seraphina directly to handle the onboarding procedures.
The official employee badge would take some time to make, so Seraphina temporarily wore a temporary employee card.
Seraphina was here to work, not to enjoy herself.
Jacob first took Seraphina to the conference room and explained all the work details to her. "Dione, if you don't understand something, just come ask me."
Seraphina nodded. She smiled, "I should probably call you Mr. Grant when we're in the company."
Jacob smiled.
Without realizing it, Seraphina had grown up.
The two walked out of the conference room.
Jacob first took Seraphina to meet the other two assistants. "Ivy Price, Ronin Sterling."
"Hello, I'm Dione, the new assistant." Seraphina introduced herself politely.
Ivy and Ronin also greeted her with smiles.
"Dione, this is your desk. Take a look at the files and materials on it when you have time." After Jacob finished speaking, seeing there was nothing else, he left temporarily to work.
Seraphina planned to familiarize herself with her work first.
Just as she was focused on her work, Robbie passed by the assistant desks with Demetrius, and he saw Seraphina.
"Dione, bring two cups of coffee to the office." Robbie smiled warmly and secretly winked.
Seraphina also winked back, acknowledging the request. As she turned her head, she inadvertently caught sight of Demetrius's cold face.
She instantly thought of the scene where Demetrius was rejected by Adelaide.
Seraphina quickly went to the break room, skillfully ground the coffee, and carried two cups into Robbie's office.
Seraphina walked in and placed the coffee in front of them.
Demetrius and Robbie were sitting and discussing something. Demetrius looked up at her, his gaze cold and scrutinizing.
"Thank you." Demetrius said briefly, his voice deep and magnetic.
Seraphina smiled slightly, nodded politely, then quickly left the office and returned to her seat.
Ivy looked up and sized up Seraphina, then privately messaged Ronin, [Does Dione know the chairman?]
Ronin only replied to Ivy with one sentence, [We just need to do our work well, less gossiping]
Ivy secretly rolled her eyes.
At noon.
Ivy enthusiastically invited Seraphina to go to the company cafeteria for lunch together.
Seraphina smiled and held up her lunchbox, "Thank you, but I brought something from home."
Although Timothy's pasta wasn't good, she didn't want to throw it away.
Not good is not good.
It's just for today anyway.
Then, Seraphina realized she was thinking too simply.
For the next two consecutive days, Timothy insisted on preparing breakfast for Seraphina.
Brandon also "enjoyed" Timothy's loving breakfast for two days, going to school every morning with a bitter little face.
Elizabeth let Timothy express his fatherly love for a few days.
On the fourth day, she didn't let Timothy mess around with Seraphina and Brandon anymore.
This morning in the kitchen.
Elizabeth was frying eggs while turning to look at the aggrieved-looking Timothy.
"With your cooking skills, you still have the nerve to torture the kids with it."
She complained about him mercilessly.
Timothy, hearing this, turned his head indignantly toward the kitchen door and shouted, "Brandon, was the breakfast I made good?"
Brandon knew today's breakfast was made by Elizabeth. He had already taken a spoon and was sitting obediently at the dining table waiting.
When Brandon heard Timothy's question, without thinking, he very bravely answered, "Not good!"
Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh out loud, turning back to continue frying her eggs. "See, even Brandon says so. You better stop torturing them from now on."
Timothy snorted coldly. He first closed the kitchen door, not letting Seraphina and Brandon come in to disturb them.
Elizabeth saw Timothy close the door and raised her eyebrows speechlessly, "Why are you closing the door?"
In broad daylight.
He couldn't do anything.
Timothy stood behind Elizabeth, his hands around her waist, lowering his voice, "I don't want you getting up so early to prepare breakfast for the kids. We can buy the house next door and have a chef cook three meals a day there, then bring them over."
The house at Port City Garden was still too small.
Elizabeth turned off the stove, turned around, stood on her toes, and her red lips touched the corner of Timothy's lips, "Okay."
At this moment, Seraphina, who was also waiting for breakfast at the dining table outside the kitchen, turned to see the now-closed kitchen door, her eyes filled with amusement.
"Mommy, I'm hungry." Brandon's shout interrupted Timothy and Elizabeth in the kitchen.
Timothy frowned. Was Brandon born specifically to oppose him?
Seraphina had wanted to cover Brandon's mouth, but didn't make it in time. She looked at Brandon, who was happily waiting to eat.
Brandon was still a baby. Timothy shouldn't blame him, right?
Timothy opened the kitchen door and walked out. He went to open the refrigerator, took out a bag of whole wheat bread, and walked to the dining table.
Whole wheat bread was nutritious, but actually not tasty.
Timothy thought it was very suitable for Brandon.
Nutritious and healthy.
He took a small piece of bread, put it on a small plate, and placed it in front of Brandon, "Brandon, eat your breakfast."
Brandon shook his head wildly, "Don't want to eat this, it's not good."
Timothy smiled, "There aren't enough eggs at home. I'll eat bread with you, and let your mommy and Seraphina have the fried eggs, okay?"
Brandon saw Timothy eating the whole wheat bread. He looked down at the same bread on his own plate.
"Daddy, are there really not enough eggs?" Brandon wanted to cry.
"Yes, not enough," Timothy said seriously, "Tonight we'll go buy eggs together."
Brandon reluctantly picked up the bread and took a bite.
Timothy saw Brandon reluctantly nibbling on the bread, and a trace of affection flashed in his deep eyes.
Seraphina held back her laughter. She went to the microwave to take out the heated goat milk, poured four cups, and brought them back to the dining table.
What Elizabeth made for Brandon was steamed egg, so of course Brandon didn't have fried eggs to eat.
And Timothy only gave Brandon a small piece of bread, plus a small bowl of steamed egg, which was just the right portion for a child's breakfast.
When Brandon finished the bread and saw Elizabeth give him a bowl of sweet steamed egg, he immediately let out a delighted cry.
"I love Mommy so much! Daddy lied to me!"
"When did I lie to you? You didn't have fried eggs anyway."
Elizabeth glared at the big one and the small one, "Eat properly, don't talk."
Both immediately fell silent.
Seraphina and Brandon had eaten Timothy's cooking for several days, and today they finally got to eat normal human food. They were very happy.
After breakfast, Seraphina went to work, and Brandon prepared to go to kindergarten.
"Daddy, Mommy, Brandon, I'm going to work."
Seraphina got into the car. After about twenty minutes, when the car passed the Robinson Group, she saw an ambulance parked outside the Robinson Group building.
She also saw Stefan.
Seraphina's heart immediately tightened, and she said to the driver, "Pull over."
The driver obediently stopped the car by the roadside.
Through the car window, Seraphina saw Stefan supporting Sloane's arm in the crowd.
