Chapter 314 They Got Divorced?
Sarah was eating when she asked, "Delilah, when are you planning to go back to Solstice? I really appreciate you being here these past few days."
Delilah smiled, "Why so formal with me? I'll go back to Solstice after your grandpa has his surgery."
Sarah nodded. She was very grateful to Delilah. "Thank you."
Owen, lying in the hospital bed, was in good spirits now. Seeing that Sarah had good friends and had met kind people like Elizabeth and the others, Owen felt relieved. If he passed away, he could rest easy.
Sarah suddenly thought of something. "Ms. Penrose and Mr. Watson have helped me so much. I want to buy them gifts. What do you think I should get?"
Delilah thought for a moment but couldn't come up with anything right away. "The gift doesn't have to be expensive, as long as it shows your appreciation."
After saying this, Delilah suddenly thought of something, and her expression became a bit complicated. "I just found out something - Ms. Penrose and our boss are divorced."
Sarah was so surprised that she put down her utensils. "No way? They're divorced?"
Sarah doubted the accuracy of Delilah's news. Timothy and Elizabeth were actually divorced?
Sarah frowned and asked, "Where did you hear this?"
Delilah explained, "Online forums."
She had specifically checked, and there had been lots of news coverage when Timothy and Elizabeth got married.
However, when they divorced, the news didn't make a big deal of it. But when she was browsing forums, she saw people mentioning Timothy and Elizabeth's divorce.
Sarah frowned. "They seemed so loving. Why would they suddenly divorce? Information on forums isn't always reliable."
Delilah shook her head. "I'm not sure either. I just saw people discussing it, and they mentioned a lot of details. It didn't seem like baseless gossip."
Sarah thought for a moment. "I think we shouldn't believe forums too easily. Ms. Penrose has been very good to us. We should respect her privacy."
Delilah nodded, hiding a fleeting thought, and stopped talking about the topic.
When Delilah first saw the information about their divorce, she actually felt a bit happy inside.
After Elizabeth left the hospital, she told Jacob to drive straight home.
When she got home, she didn't see Timothy in the living room, so she went to the bedroom, but didn't see him there either.
Her eyes moved slightly. She quickly took a shower, changed into home clothes, and walked into Seraphina's room.
Timothy was carefully wiping things in Seraphina's room with a cloth.
Elizabeth leaned against the doorway and said softly, "Mr. Robinson, so you're here."
Timothy heard the voice and turned to see Elizabeth. He smiled, his handsome face looking especially gentle in the warm light. "Elizabeth, you're back. Give me a moment."
He hadn't finished wiping yet, but since Elizabeth hadn't eaten, he planned to continue tomorrow.
Elizabeth walked into the room. She picked up their family photo of the three of them, gently touched Seraphina's smiling face in the picture with her finger, then put the photo down, her eyes full of tenderness and longing.
"After we eat, I'll help you wipe," Elizabeth said, her tone carrying a hint of gentleness.
Timothy smiled. "Okay, let's go eat first then."
The two walked out of Seraphina's room and went downstairs.
Timothy went into the kitchen to wash his hands, then brought the food the chef had prepared to the dining table.
After they ate dinner and let it digest, they went to clean Seraphina's room.
Just then, Elizabeth's phone rang.
She saw the caller ID was Lyle and answered on speakerphone.
Lyle's voice came through the phone. "Ms. Penrose, I've arranged for someone to seduce Brynn. I specifically arranged a man whose temperament is very similar to Armando's. I'll send you his information in a bit."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "Thanks for your hard work. Tell that man to take it slow, no rush, so we don't blow our cover."
Lyle nodded. "I know. Yesterday was Brynn's birthday, but Armando went to meet a client instead. I heard Armando got slapped for missing her birthday party."
Elizabeth responded coolly.
After Lyle finished talking about this, he hung up.
Elizabeth quickly looked at the information Lyle sent. The man's name was Irvin Church. She looked at the photo - his temperament really did look a lot like Armando's.
Pretty good.
She put down her phone and continued wiping the floor.
Elizabeth and Timothy didn't stop until they had cleaned the entire room.
Timothy, who had been able to wipe floors and clean yesterday, woke up this morning with a cold.
Timothy's throat was dry and itchy, and his voice was hoarse - clearly symptoms of a cold.
He took his temperature with a thermometer and had a slight fever.
It was just a minor cold with a low fever. He didn't want to go to the hospital, but Elizabeth insisted.
"Mr. Robinson, you have to go to the hospital to get medicine, okay?" Elizabeth said with concern as she was about to leave for work.
Timothy nodded and smiled, squeezing Elizabeth's hand. "I definitely will, don't worry."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow with a hint of threat in her voice. "I'm really not sure I can trust you. Take a picture when you get to the hospital and send it to me."
Timothy's smile deepened, but his eyes held a teasing glint. "Okay, I'll send you a photo."
Not long after Elizabeth got to work, Timothy also changed clothes and went to the hospital.
When he got to the hospital, he took out his phone, took a selfie of himself at the hospital, and sent it to Elizabeth.
Joe watched Timothy taking a selfie and really didn't know what expression to make to convey Joe's current shock.
Timothy sent Elizabeth a message: [Already at the hospital]
Elizabeth quickly replied: [Good]
Timothy chuckled and shook his head.
The doctor soon called Timothy in. After an examination, it was confirmed he just had a common cold with a low fever, and the doctor prescribed some medicine.
After getting the medicine, Timothy took another photo for Elizabeth: [Got the medicine, heading home to rest now]
Joe wanted to cover his eyes, thinking to himself: Timothy is so childish when taking selfies.
No one knew that the refined Joe had such active thoughts going through his mind.
Delilah didn't expect to run into Timothy. She was about to say hello when the bodyguard blocked her way.
"Mr. Robinson, hello." Delilah smiled somewhat awkwardly, trying to break the awkward situation.
As his assistant, Joe naturally stepped forward to handle this. He showed his signature polite smile. "Ms. McCoy, can I help you?"
Delilah nodded. Seeing Timothy holding a bag of medicine, she didn't dare show too much concern. Instead, she said, "I want to apologize to Mr. Robinson."
