Chapter 303: So, I'm the Only Poor Person

Chapter 303: So, I'm the Only Poor Person

Faced with Qiana's question, Willow shook her head helplessly and said, "My husband rarely tells me about company matters. It's actually good that he sold his company shares."

Willow smiled, "Now whenever he has free time, he goes to play golf. My husband doesn't need to worry about Seraphina Enterprises' future development anymore. It's quite nice."

Qiana and the other two ladies exchanged glances after hearing this.

Qiana said with a smile, "That's true. Worrying less about company matters and enjoying life more is pretty good too."

Willow nodded and smiled, "Yes, selling the shares is good."

Qiana's eyes flickered. The group continued playing cards and chatted about other things.

After playing a few rounds, they were ready to wrap up. Willow had won quite a bit today. She said with a smile, "I'm really lucky today. Let's meet up again when we have time."

After seeing off all the guests, Qiana hurried to the study to find her husband Juan.

Based on what Willow said, selling the shares seemed like a good thing.

In the study.

Qiana frowned, "Honey, the Sherman family and the others have all sold their company shares. I don't think it's just because they had conflicts with Elizabeth. The company's development probably isn't going well, right?"

Juan had the same doubts.

Especially since the company recently had a fire incident due to product quality issues, Juan felt that holding onto the company shares would carry significant risk and potential losses.

Juan thought seriously for a moment and stood up, "I'm going to change clothes and go to the company to see Ms. Penrose."

Juan also decided to sell his shares!

Juan quickly changed and went to Seraphina Enterprises to find Elizabeth.

Jacob was responsible for receiving Juan.

He said politely, "Chairwoman Penrose is in a meeting. Mr. Hayes, would you like to continue waiting, or reschedule?"

Juan smiled, "I'll wait here for her."

Jacob nodded. He made a cup of coffee for Juan and returned to his seat.

He first sent Robbie a message that Juan had come to see Elizabeth.

After the meeting ended, Elizabeth closed her laptop.

Robbie bent down slightly and said in a low voice, "Mr. Hayes is here."

Elizabeth raised her eyebrows. She nodded and walked out of the conference room with her computer.

Juan had waited over an hour before seeing Elizabeth.

Elizabeth walked out of the elevator and saw Juan sitting on the sofa in the reception area. She walked over with a smile, "Mr. Hayes, sorry to keep you waiting."

Juan stood up, and they shook hands. He smiled, "I came to see you on short notice. I hope I'm not disturbing you."

Elizabeth invited Juan into her office to talk.

After closing the door, they sat on the sofa.

Juan got straight to the point, "Ms. Penrose, I recently need funds for other investments, so I've decided to sell my company shares."

Elizabeth smiled. Both of them understood this was just an excuse.

Juan didn't explicitly say he was worried about the company's future operations.

Elizabeth asked with a smile, "Mr. Hayes, you hold 8% of the company shares, correct?"

Juan nodded.

Elizabeth wanted to buy Juan's shares, but she didn't have enough liquid funds at the moment. "Mr. Hayes, please wait a moment."

She took out her phone and called Timothy.

She didn't have the money to buy them, but Timothy could.

The call connected quickly, and Timothy's voice came through, "Elizabeth, what's up?"

Elizabeth glanced at Juan and said to Timothy on the phone, "Mr. Hayes wants to sell his 8% company shares. Mr. Robinson, do you want to buy these shares?"

Timothy looked at his watch, "Give me half an hour. See you at the company."

Elizabeth's lips curved up slightly. She agreed.

She hung up and explained to Juan, "Mr. Hayes, someone will come to buy your shares shortly. Please wait half an hour."

Juan smiled, "Thank you."

About half an hour later, Timothy arrived at Seraphina Enterprises right on time.

Timothy walked into Elizabeth's office wearing casual clothes.

Elizabeth's first glance went to his haircut.

Their eyes met.

Juan was stunned when he saw it was Timothy.

Why would Timothy be the buyer?

Timothy nodded at Juan calmly, "Mr. Hayes, hello. I'm very interested in your shares."

Juan hadn't expected Timothy to be buying his shares. "Mr. Robinson, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Neither side wasted any more time and quickly got into discussing the share acquisition.

After discussion, they successfully reached an agreement.

Timothy agreed to purchase Juan's shares at market price.

Juan was also very satisfied with this outcome.

After signing the share purchase contract, Juan smiled, "Thank you, Mr. Robinson, Ms. Penrose. I hope the company's future development goes smoothly."

Elizabeth saw Juan out of the office, then turned back to Timothy with a smile.

Timothy raised his eyebrows, "He's afraid the company isn't doing well?"

Elizabeth nodded, "Probably."

Otherwise Juan wouldn't be in such a hurry to sell his shares.

Timothy chuckled, "I got a good deal then. He might regret this so much he can't sleep."

Elizabeth nodded with certainty, "I'm glad you trust me so much."

She walked up to Timothy and cupped his face with both hands, looking left and right, "This haircut is nice. I'll cut it like this for you next time."

Timothy smiled, "Okay."

He wouldn't give her another chance to cut his hair. As soon as his hair grew out, he'd go get it cut immediately.

Elizabeth didn't know what Timothy was really thinking. She noticed it was almost lunchtime and turned to Timothy, "Mr. Robinson, want to have lunch together?"

Timothy nodded. He took out his phone and called Joe, asking him to reserve vegetarian food in advance.

They left the office and drove to the restaurant.

After lunch, Elizabeth mentioned to Timothy that she had to go to the law firm at 3 PM to handle matters regarding Russell's estate.

Timothy thought for a moment, then turned to look at Elizabeth, "I'm guessing you're also one of Mr. Nightingale's heirs. If so, do you want to inherit or give it up?"

Elizabeth originally didn't want to inherit the Nightingale family's estate, but Juan's situation today made her think twice.

She really had no liquid funds at the moment.

She pressed her lips together, her eyes looking at him with a melancholy complaint, "I have no money."

Timothy was stunned. He hadn't expected to hear that answer.

Perhaps Timothy's surprise was too obvious. Elizabeth rolled her eyes and looked at the ceiling, explaining, "We still need to establish the missing persons company, which requires a lot of money."

Timothy understood what Elizabeth meant. He laughed softly and pinched her face, "Don't overthink it. If you don't want to inherit, then don't. I have the funds for finding Seraphina. No need to worry at all. I'm not broke."

Elizabeth rubbed her cheek that Timothy had pulled and asked curiously, "How much money do you have?"

Timothy took out his phone and searched for a globally authoritative rich people ranking website.

He pointed with his finger to his ranking, "This is me."

Elizabeth looked at the ranking, "Sorry, turns out I'm the only poor person here."

With Timothy's money as backup, Elizabeth decided not to inherit the Nightingale family's assets, to avoid getting too entangled with Freya.

Besides, Elizabeth just lacked liquid funds temporarily. She was very confident in Seraphina Enterprises.

They left the restaurant. After Timothy dropped Elizabeth off at the company, he went straight home.

Around 2 PM, Elizabeth set off for the law firm.

When Elizabeth arrived at the law firm, Freya and Herschel were already there.

Freya wore an elegant light-colored dress, looking dignified and graceful as she watched Elizabeth.

Freya gave Elizabeth a gentle smile.

Elizabeth was puzzled. Freya actually smiled at her?

Though puzzled, Elizabeth walked over with a cold expression and sat down.

Seeing that all the relevant people had arrived, Tristan took out the will and began the official reading.
