Chapter 233 Paternity Test
"Elizabeth, I have something important to tell you, about your biological parents."
Calista looked at Elizabeth and couldn't wait to speak, "Just give me some money, not much, a few hundred thousand dollars will do, and I'll tell you about your biological parents."
Elizabeth drawled slowly, "What?" She raised her eyebrows without the slightest waver, and said regretfully, "Calista, I've already found my biological parents."
Calista shook her head in confusion, "Found them? Don't lie to me, that's impossible. Your father came to see me just the day before yesterday."
Elizabeth's eyes flickered slightly, and she smiled with an unclear meaning, "Really? Where is he?"
At this moment, Freya stood outside the reception room door, clutching two paternity test reports tightly in her hands.
Freya listened to the conversation between Elizabeth and Calista, her face growing colder and colder. Freya turned and left the reception room in anger.
Meanwhile, Calista still thought she was about to get the money and said eagerly, "Transfer the money to me, and I'll tell you about your biological parents."
Elizabeth let out a muffled laugh, as if she was hearing some kind of joke.
She stood up and walked over to Calista.
She looked down at the disheveled Calista, her red lips curving upward, revealing an evil smile, "I really think you've gotten dumber and dumber after spending so many years in prison."
Calista didn't expect Elizabeth's attitude to suddenly change like this. She leaned back against the chair in shock, "Elizabeth! What do you mean?"
Elizabeth sighed, shook her head, and spoke extremely rudely, "You people are really, really weird. I'm thirty years old, I'm not some baby who hasn't been weaned yet. I'm past the age of needing mommy and daddy."
For Elizabeth, it was best to just let things happen naturally. She really, truly had no desire to force it.
Elizabeth shrugged, "Actually, I'm quite worried that one day some poor parents will suddenly pop up trying to leech off my money."
Was this something a human being would say?
Calista's eyes widened instantly. What kind of heartless words was Elizabeth saying!
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes and smiled, "Calista, I'm giving you that man who came to see you the day before yesterday. Ron should need a stepfather."
Elizabeth lowered her eyes, sneered, glanced at Calista who couldn't speak, and turned to leave the reception room.
"Beau, throw the person inside out of the Nightingale family," Elizabeth ordered in a low voice as she passed Beau.
"Yes." Beau responded respectfully.
Beau walked into the reception room to escort Calista out.
Calista wanted to curse Elizabeth out, but when she saw Beau in front of her, she knew this family was not to be messed with.
Calista could only shut her mouth and hold back her anger.
Just as she was about to leave the reception room, Freya appeared at the door.
Emma stood right beside Freya.
Freya said coldly to Calista, "Let's talk."
When Calista saw Emma standing beside Freya, a flash of surprise crossed her eyes. It's her?
Calista quickly pretended not to know Emma. Calista looked at Freya, "Who are you?"
When Beau saw Freya appear, he was surprised for a moment, but still respectfully withdrew, leaving the space to them.
Freya sat down, her expression cold, her eyes carrying a hint of scrutiny, "What did you come to The Nightingale Mansion to do today? As long as you tell the truth, I'll give you some money."
A sudden turn of events.
"Really!" Calista's tone was filled with delight, "You're not lying to me?"
Emma said softly, "Calista, don't worry, my godmother won't lie to you."
Calista's face immediately lit up with joy, "I came to tell Elizabeth about her biological parents."
---
Elizabeth returned to the banquet hall, her eyes scanning around before finally meeting Timothy's gaze.
He stood not far away, his eyes filled with amusement.
Elizabeth smiled slightly, picked up a glass of champagne from a server's tray, and toasted Timothy from a distance.
Her red lips lightly touched the glass as she elegantly took a sip, then walked to Russell's side.
When Russell saw Elizabeth return, he lowered his voice and asked, "Everything okay?"
Elizabeth smiled and shook her head, "It's fine. I already had Beau throw her out. Dad, the banquet is about to start, right?"
Russell nodded and looked at the watch on his wrist, "I'll have a servant go get your mother."
He instructed a servant to invite Freya over.
Freya arrived quickly.
She walked to Russell and Elizabeth's side, her face wearing a warm smile.
Russell nodded slightly, indicating the banquet was about to begin.
Freya and Russell walked onto the stage hand in hand.
Russell held the microphone in his hand and said to the guests with a smile, "Everyone, thank you all for coming to this banquet today. Today is a very important day for the Nightingale family, because we have finally found our daughter who was lost for many years."
The guests applauded one after another, their faces showing congratulatory smiles.
Just as Russell was about to continue, Freya stopped him. He looked surprised, "Freya?"
Freya smiled and said, "Honey, let me say a few words."
Russell nodded and handed her the microphone.
Freya's gaze swept over the guests below the stage, and she said with a smile, "Today is a rare occasion. Let me first invite someone onto the stage."
She looked down at the audience.
Emma was in a good mood. She nudged Calista beside her and said in a low voice, "Calista, my godmother is calling you to the stage."
Thinking of the money Freya promised her, Calista bit her lip, gave herself a pep talk, and walked onto the stage.
Calista's steps were slightly stiff, her heart full of nervousness.
Timothy had somehow already positioned himself beside Elizabeth. Elizabeth turned to glance at him, then turned back to look at the stage.
Freya looked coldly at Elizabeth, her voice carrying a hint of ice, "We originally thought Elizabeth was our daughter, but we didn't expect someone would use such a thing to deceive the Nightingale family."
As Freya's words fell.
The guests below the stage erupted in commotion.
They began discussing in low voices.
They were shocked by Freya's words,
Their gazes focused on Elizabeth, their eyes full of doubt.
Freya had Calista come over to speak.
Calista, under the gaze of the distinguished guests below, said tremblingly, "Elizabeth's father is a good-for-nothing hoodlum, and her mother has already died of illness."
Emma walked onto the stage. She held up the paternity test reports in her hand, looking at Elizabeth with anger, her voice full of condemnation, "Ms. Penrose, these two paternity test results both prove that you are not part of the Nightingale family."
"You've already gotten the Sherman Group, yet you're still so heartless as to impersonate a Nightingale family heiress. Your appetite is really huge!"
The guests erupted in commotion. Seizing family assets?
"She's really bold, doing something like this?"
"What a vicious woman. Could Jake have been murdered by her?"
"How terrifying."
Emma felt very proud inside. She could already see the light of victory.
She imagined the Nightingale family and people in their circle condemning and despising Elizabeth, her heart filled with satisfaction.
Elizabeth would be a rat living in the gutter from now on!
Freya looked coldly at Elizabeth below the stage, her eyes full of disappointment, "Ms. Penrose, can you tell me where you sent my daughter? If you don't want to go to prison, honestly tell me her whereabouts."
Elizabeth smiled, applauding with a beaming smile as she walked onto the stage.
Freya looked at Elizabeth's reaction in bewilderment. Emma just thought Elizabeth had given up completely.
Elizabeth stood beside Russell, reached out to link arms with him, tilted her head playfully, and said with a smile, "Dad, it's your turn to appear. This play might have scared the guests."
The series of events left everyone dumbfounded.
Russell smiled helplessly and bitterly. He didn't expect things would really turn out as Timothy predicted.
Freya looked at Russell and Elizabeth in confusion, "Honey?"
Russell stepped forward and took the microphone, his voice steady, "Everyone, the original intention of today's banquet was to announce that Elizabeth is my daughter, Russell's daughter, an heiress of the Nightingale family. Regarding her identity, we have already done multiple paternity tests, but there are always people who want to stir up trouble."
When Emma heard these words, her face instantly changed. What does he mean?
Emma was shocked.
And Freya was even more shocked than her.
What was Russell talking about?
The test results received today clearly showed that Elizabeth and they were not biologically related!
