Chapter 163 Bitch
Elizabeth suddenly got interested in learning origami from those short videos.
She didn't have the paper she needed at home.
She walked to the balcony.
Jake was hanging laundry on the balcony.
He was holding a piece of underwear in his hand, hanging it on the rack without any change in expression.
Elizabeth arrived just as he was hanging the underwear.
He turned to look at Elizabeth and raised his eyebrows.
Elizabeth didn't say anything. She waited for him to finish hanging the laundry, and they both walked back to the living room.
Jake went to pour himself a glass of water first, and didn't take the initiative to ask if something was up.
Anyway, from the look of her, there was definitely something.
After a while, when he had drunk half the glass of water, Elizabeth beside him finally spoke up, "Mr. Robinson, go to the stationery store and buy me various colored papers, about this size."
Elizabeth turned her phone to show him the screen, "Just buy paper based on the size shown in this video."
Jake made a sound of acknowledgment but didn't move.
An hour before he went to do laundry, he had just gone out to buy her flowers.
She had said she wanted to arrange flowers then.
Now after he finished hanging laundry, she said she wanted to do origami.
Elizabeth really knew how to keep him busy.
Jake sat on the sofa without moving. Elizabeth frowned, "I'll go buy it myself. I just asked you to do one little thing, and you're already so reluctant."
She turned to go change clothes.
Jake raised his hand, his tone lazy, "If you're really that bored, let's play cards, and I'll buy you the paper tomorrow?"
Elizabeth thought about it, "That works. Go get the cards."
Just killing time anyway, anything would do.
Half an hour after they started playing cards.
Elizabeth put down her cards, unhappy and disdainful, "How can you be so bad at cards? I win every round, it's so boring."
"I thought you liked winning. Aren't you happy when you win?" Jake, whose face was covered with sticky notes from losing, secretly rolled his eyes.
He had deliberately let her win without showing it, and still got criticized.
Jake smiled, "Let's go again. This time I'll make you lose, I won't let you win."
Elizabeth thought he was just talking big. She didn't know he had been letting her win before.
So she enthusiastically changed to a new punishment method, "The loser gets a turtle drawn on their face."
"Fine, as long as you don't regret it."
They started shuffling and drawing cards again.
This time after twenty minutes, Elizabeth already had three turtles on her face.
Elizabeth fell silent.
Jake held a pen in his hand, chuckling softly. He used the pen cap to lift Elizabeth's chin provocatively, his voice tender, "Beautiful Elizabeth, want to continue?"
His eyes were full of laughter.
The provoked Elizabeth felt a bit embarrassed. She was about to say continue, but just then her phone on her lap suddenly rang.
Elizabeth picked it up and saw it was a call from Yosef.
Actually, Elizabeth didn't really want to deal with anyone from the Sutter family.
But Yosef, Elizabeth thought about it and answered his call.
Because of Emma, Yosef also felt it wasn't right to ask Elizabeth for help, but he really couldn't reach Mabel, so he shamelessly called Elizabeth.
After Elizabeth's phone connected.
Elizabeth didn't speak.
Yosef cleared his throat lightly, "Elizabeth, it's me, Yosef."
Elizabeth really wanted to roll her eyes. Of course she knew it was him. She asked flatly, "What do you want?"
"Can you help me contact Mabel? I want to talk to her," Yosef stated his purpose directly, his voice hoarse as he said, "Please."
"No, I won't help you," Elizabeth rejected him outright. She said coldly, "Yosef, Emma is still at the Robinson family. Even if you contact Mabel, what can you do? Do you think if the Robinson family, or Emma, notice something, Mabel will be okay?"
Yosef was instantly speechless. He was silent for a while, rubbing his temples, "I'm sorry."
Emma moving into The Robinson Mansion meant his chances of being with Mabel were very slim.
Elizabeth frowned and hung up the phone.
Jake looked at Elizabeth's expression. The child's mother being in a bad mood would affect the child's development, so he suggested, "Should we go out for a bit?"
Her body had recovered well now, and the baby's condition was normal. Going out to get some fresh air was fine.
As long as she wasn't constantly moving and walking.
Elizabeth looked up at the time. It was now 3 PM, "Where should we go?"
Jake put away the cards and placed them in the drawer, "Go change first. When we get there, you'll know."
How would he know where to go? He had just said it casually. He'd look it up online later.
"Okay, I'll go change."
Elizabeth changed quickly now. She just put on a loose dress, applied moisturizer to her face, tied up her hair, grabbed a light jacket and was ready to go out.
Jake was already waiting for her at the door.
Elizabeth took out a pair of sneakers from the shoe cabinet and put them on. The laces weren't tied yet. She was about to squat down to tie them.
Jake reacted faster than her and squatted down first.
Elizabeth looked down at him tying her shoelaces and said something that broke the warm atmosphere, "You can tie a bow. The way you're tying the laces now doesn't look good."
Jake paused, untied the laces again, and tied a bow.
After tying the laces, he didn't stand up immediately. His hand suddenly gripped her ankle.
His hot palm's warmth landed on her ankle.
Elizabeth kicked her foot lightly, "What are you doing?"
"If one day the child suddenly disappeared, what would you do?"
Jake looked down, let go of her ankle, stood up, and asked thoughtfully.
Elizabeth was very confused.
What the hell was this about?
Cursing her child?
Jake's face instantly twisted, "Let go, I was wrong!"
Elizabeth twisted the muscle on his arm, very hard.
She showed no mercy.
While twisting, she scolded him, "What you said is so unlucky. The child won't disappear."
"Yes yes yes, won't disappear. I watched a movie yesterday where a child was taken away and his mother kept searching for him. I was just asking you because I was moved by it."
Jake quickly explained and apologized.
His arm was definitely bruised.
Elizabeth let go. She hadn't even gone out to relax yet and was already angered by this jerk.
If her child was taken away, she would go crazy.
"Timothy, I don't like this kind of hypothetical," Elizabeth said very seriously to Jake, "Although the child hasn't been born yet, I love the child."
Jake looked down, his eyes darkening slightly.
But he was going to take away their child.
Aquilonia.
"Mr. Robinson, your current physical condition is not suitable for flying back home," Joe clearly disagreed, "The doctor said you need to rest for at least a year."
"Go prepare. I'm worried."
Anyway, his life as Timothy was hanging by a thread.
Timothy's current plan couldn't guarantee complete success. Jake was unpredictable in how he did things.
Joe knew that when Timothy said he was worried, he was worried about Elizabeth.
Joe couldn't persuade Timothy and could only resignedly arrange for the return home.
This time when they went back, they had to be very discreet. Otherwise, if that man Jake found out, their previous plans would fall apart.
