Chapter 409: Damn Freya

Chapter 409: Damn Freya

Jane and Tommy were thrown out of the mansion by the bodyguards.

Timothy made no effort to hide the coldness he felt toward Jane and Tommy deep down.

Jane and Tommy looked back at the closed gate, each lost in their own thoughts.

Tommy believed the background information Timothy had shown them, but Jane didn't.

Jane snorted coldly, "He's obviously giving us fake documents because of Elizabeth. Tommy, don't tell me you actually believe it?"

Tommy lowered his voice and said quietly, "Jane, there are some things we have to accept. The documents were very clear. He wouldn't lie to us about something like this."

Jane glared at him unhappily, "Tommy, you trust him way too easily! I don't believe it anyway. Documents can be faked."

Seeing how stubborn Jane was, Tommy felt helpless. "Jane, whether you believe it or not, I hope you won't do anything impulsive to provoke him, or we'll both be screwed."

He was satisfied with his current life and didn't want to change it.

Jane rolled her eyes, not wanting to talk to this useless Tommy anymore.

Tommy looked around. There was no way to catch a ride here. "Let's call the driver to pick us up first."

He'd rushed out and didn't have his phone, wallet, or anything else with him.

Jane took out her phone and called the driver.

After waiting about thirty minutes, the car finally arrived to pick them up.

Jane was getting impatient. "Why did it take so long?"

The driver respectfully opened the car door for her and apologized, "It's quite far from here to The Robinson Mansion."

Jane was in a bad mood and got in the car with a cold expression.

After Tommy got in and closed the door, he yawned several times and said lazily to the driver, "Back to The Robinson Mansion."

He needed to catch up on sleep.

Jane instructed the driver, "Go to the Robinson Group first."

Tommy closed his eyes. "Sloane is very busy. Don't keep going to the office to find her."

"Mind your own business." Jane's tone was sharp.

When the car reached the Robinson Group, Jane got out by herself and walked into the company.

---

"Weren't you supposed to check out the new store today? How come you have time to come over?"

Sloane was really busy. She continued working without looking up while asking Jane, who was sitting on the sofa.

"Timothy came to see me and Tommy today."

"What?" Sloane immediately stopped what she was doing. She looked up at Jane in shock. "What did he want with you two?"

Jane said in a dejected and suppressed voice, "He showed us some background information and warned us not to cross his line."

Sloane stood up, leaning on her cane, and walked over to the sofa to sit beside Jane. "What background information?"

"He said we're not his children, but his sister Annie's children, and that my mother Emma was just a surrogate at best."

Jane continued with an ugly expression, "I don't believe this kind of information at all. He made all this up for that woman Elizabeth!"

Sloane said in surprise, "How could that be?" She was silent for a moment, then suggested, "Jane, why don't you call Grandma? Maybe she knows."

"Right!" Jane nodded. "Sloane, you're right. I'll call Grandma now."

Jane pulled out her phone from her bag and quickly made a video call to Cecilia.

After a while, the video call finally connected.

"Grandma, I want to ask you something. Timothy showed me and Tommy some documents today, saying we're not his children but his sister Annie's children, and that my mother Emma was just a surrogate. Is this true?" Jane looked nervously at Cecilia on the video call.

Cecilia was silent for a moment, then her eyes reddened and she put on an expression of feeling sorry for Jane.

Cecilia couldn't help crying sadly, "Jane, if he says so, then so be it. Don't ask about this anymore. I watched you and Tommy grow up, and I'll always love you both. As for Timothy, you don't need to pay attention to him. You two just need to live your own lives well."

Jane bit her lip unwillingly. "Grandma, is what he said true? Or is he lying to us?"

Cecilia wiped her tears. "Jane, whether what Timothy said is true or false, it won't have much impact on your lives. I don't want you to dwell on these things. Let the past be the past. If he doesn't want to acknowledge you, so be it."

Cecilia's words could completely mislead Jane.

Before ending the video call, Cecilia looked at Sloane with meaningful eyes. "Sloane, take good care of Jane and Tommy."

Sloane nodded in assurance. "Okay, Grandma."

Cecilia ended the video call.

Jane pressed her lips together. "See? I told you Timothy must have shown us fake documents! Damn it!"

Sloane sighed softly and held Jane's hand. "Jane, let's just live our lives well and stop thinking about it."

---

On the other side, after Timothy finished talking with Jane and the others, he also left the mansion and went home.

Elizabeth scooted over and sat next to Timothy, asking curiously, "Did you make things clear?"

Thinking of Jane's stubborn look, Timothy's expression was indifferent. "I said everything I needed to say. Elizabeth, shall we go out for dinner as a family tonight?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Sure, let's go out tonight. I'll text Seraphina first to see if she's free. Seraphina is really busy these days."

Timothy looked at Elizabeth's smile, curved his lips into a smile too, pulled her into his arms, and said with some indulgence, "I didn't expect Seraphina to be like you, with the potential to become a career woman."

Elizabeth glanced at him. She first sent a message to Seraphina, then brought up something else with Timothy. "Seraphina is going to Majestic City tomorrow to meet Stefan's relatives."

Before getting married, she at least needed to visit Stefan's family and meet the relatives there.

Elizabeth looked at Seraphina's reply and smiled. "Seraphina says she's free tonight and can go to dinner with us."

Seraphina wasn't actually free, but she would make time to have dinner with Timothy and Elizabeth.

At this moment, at General Hospital in Border Ridge City, in contrast to the warm atmosphere on Elizabeth's side, the atmosphere in the hospital room was tense.

Freya frowned innocently. "Juniper, I'm old and didn't hold the water cup steady. I didn't spill it on your hand on purpose."

The back of Juniper's hand was burned and it hurt a lot.

She held back her anger and quickly left the room. She didn't have time to argue with Freya right now. She needed to leave the room quickly to find a doctor to treat the burn on her hand.

Freya stared at Juniper's hurried departing figure and laughed coldly.

Juniper found a doctor, and the doctor quickly treated her wound.

She gritted her teeth. That old woman Freya, why was she suddenly so difficult to serve, making a fuss over every little thing?

She wasn't planning to come to the hospital to keep Freya company anymore!

After Juniper finished bandaging the burned area, she left the hospital directly and called Herschel.

As soon as the call connected, Juniper couldn't wait to complain. "Honey, Freya didn't hold her hot water cup steady today and the back of my hand got burned. I'm not coming to the hospital for a while."

"Burned? Is it serious?"

Hearing the concern in Herschel's tone, Juniper's lips curved into a slight smile. "Luckily the burned area was treated in time. But I don't know why, Freya's temper has been getting stranger and stranger lately. She keeps coming up with things to torment people."

Herschel could guess why Freya's temper had been strange lately.

He said calmly, "You go home and rest. As for Freya, I'll arrange for someone else to go. You don't need to go to the hospital anymore."

Juniper breathed a sigh of relief. She smiled sweetly. "Honey, thank you. You get back to work. I'm hanging up now."

After Juniper hung up, she muttered another curse: Damn Freya, why doesn't she just die already, half-dead and tormenting people!
