Chapter 349 Of Course I Would Think of You
Just as Jane was about to crash straight into Stefan's arms.
Stefan quickly dodged out of the way.
Jane snorted coldly at Stefan. Well, he got out of the way. "Be smarter next time."
Stefan let out a soft sigh. This job really wasn't fit for human beings.
But he had already tried his best to stop her. If he couldn't stop her after that, it had nothing to do with him.
Jane pushed open the office door and walked straight in.
Her sudden entrance directly interrupted the conversation between Sloane and the general manager sent by the Sanchez Group to discuss cooperation.
Sloane reacted quickly. She asked gently, "Jane, is it urgent?"
Seeing there was a guest, Jane calmed down at this moment.
She immediately put away her angry expression. "Sloane, oh, you have a guest. Sorry for interrupting. I'll wait for you in the lounge."
She had rushed to the company to find Sloane because she had recently heard that Sloane had actually taken Tommy to apologize to Stanley.
Jane called Tommy to find out why.
Jane just felt that Sloane's approach was completely wrong!
Stanley was clearly the one in the wrong! Why make Tommy apologize!
After Jane went into the lounge, Sloane said sincerely to the Sanchez Group's general manager, "I'm sorry for that. Let's continue our discussion."
The Sanchez Group's general manager smiled, showing understanding. "It's fine, Ms. Johnson. We were just talking about the cooperation details. Are there any parts that need to be changed?"
The two talked for about another half hour before finishing. Sloane personally escorted the general manager out of the office.
After seeing off the guest, Stefan walked to Sloane's side. "Chairwoman Johnson, I'm sorry. I failed to stop Ms. Robinson. I didn't do my job."
Sloane knew Jane's personality herself, so she didn't question Stefan. "I understand."
She returned to the office and went to the lounge to find Jane.
In the lounge.
Sloane sat down next to Jane and asked gently, "Jane, can you tell me now what's so urgent?"
Jane looked at Sloane, her eyes showing a hint of dissatisfaction and confusion. "Sloane, I heard you took Tommy to apologize to Stanley. Is that true?"
Sloane nodded with a faint smile. "Yes, that did happen."
Jane said angrily, "Why? Stanley was clearly in the wrong. Why make Tommy apologize? Do you know what people are saying about us now? They're saying we're pushovers!"
Sloane explained gently, "Jane, we're in a business cooperation with the Sanchez family. We need to consider the big picture. Although Stanley was wrong, Tommy was wrong too. For the company's cooperation to go smoothly, we had to make some concessions."
Jane still didn't quite understand this kind of concession. "Doesn't this make us look easy to bully?"
Sloane shook her head. "This doesn't mean we're easy to bully. We need to know when to compromise and when to stand firm. This concession is for greater benefits."
Jane still couldn't understand. That Stanley kid had cursed them as bastards, and they still had to back down and apologize?
Sloane comforted Jane for a long time.
After Jane reluctantly let the matter go, Sloane apologized. "Jane, I'm sorry. The company's current situation really needs to seize this cooperation opportunity with the Sanchez family."
Jane nodded. "I understand, Sloane. Managing the company must be hard for you too."
Before leaving, she had originally wanted to mention firing Stefan, but she chose not to say it for now.
As Jane walked out of the office, passing by Stefan's desk.
She gave Stefan a disdainful look before leaving.
Stefan didn't care that Jane had a problem with him. After all, his current boss was Sloane.
At worst, he could just find another job.
What he cared about most right now was counting the days since Seraphina had gone on her trip.
After a week of vacation, Elizabeth's family finally returned home.
The moment they got home, the whole family collapsed on the sofa.
"Fun, but exhausting," Elizabeth sighed.
Seraphina nodded along. "Very exhausting."
Brandon lay on the sofa with his feet resting on Timothy's stomach, wiggling his toes. "Mommy, what are we eating later?"
Brandon was the only one in the family thinking about food at a time like this.
Timothy pushed Brandon's feet away in disgust. "Brandon! Your feet stink."
Brandon picked up his own foot and smelled it. "Daddy, they don't stink!"
Timothy was a bit stunned for a moment. Brandon was dumb enough to smell his own feet.
Elizabeth said helplessly, "Brandon, go wash your hands."
Brandon responded enthusiastically and happily rushed off to wash his hands.
Seraphina watched Brandon's happy little figure, puzzled. "Brandon, why are you suddenly so happy?"
Timothy smiled faintly. "He thinks washing his hands means getting ready to eat."
Seraphina was very confused.
Washing hands and eating were actually equal signs to him.
Seraphina actually doubted Timothy's judgment a bit.
Until Brandon washed his hands, ran out, and stood directly in front of Elizabeth, blinking. "Mommy, I washed my hands. Can we eat now!"
Seraphina fell silent.
They had brought back lots of local specialties from this trip, and those could be eaten right away!
Elizabeth sent Brandon off to organize and sort out those specialties first.
"Seraphina, take some specialties to Stefan, and tomorrow bring some to the office for Mr. Ellis and Mr. Grant."
"Okay, thanks Mommy."
"Rest tonight. We'll move to Port City Garden tomorrow." Elizabeth said.
The three who only followed the head of the household Elizabeth's orders all responded, "Okay!"
That evening, Seraphina made a video call to Stefan.
As soon as the video call connected, what caught her eye were Stefan's eight-pack abs.
Stefan had just finished working out and had some sweat on his body.
Seraphina stared at Stefan's physique with wide eyes.
She hadn't exercised today, and seeing that Stefan had such a good body and still kept working out.
While she was slacking off, Seraphina's conscience felt uneasy.
Stefan first drank some water to quench his thirst before asking, "Dione, did you have fun these past few days?"
His voice was low and gentle.
Seraphina nodded, her smile bright. "Very happy."
As long as she was with family, she was happy anywhere.
She continued, "I'll come see you tomorrow and bring you the specialties we bought on the trip."
Stefan smiled with a hint of amusement in his eyes, teasing, "How rare, you went out and still thought to bring me specialties."
Seraphina smiled. "Of course I'd think of you for good things."
Stefan's smile deepened. "Then I'll wait for your specialties."
He suddenly moved closer to the camera, his handsome face able to withstand scrutiny from any angle. "Dione, why is your camera so far away? And I can't see you anymore!"
Seraphina's struggling voice came from the other end. "I'm doing yoga."
Just two seconds ago, after seeing Stefan's physique and having that comparison, Seraphina had found new motivation to push herself.
Stefan raised an eyebrow. He walked to the sofa to grab his clothes and quickly put them on, then walked back to the camera. "I'll send you the address of my current rental. Come to the Robinson Group tomorrow to get the key first. I made a spare key for you."
