Chapter 341 You Can't Afford the Compensation
Seraphina asked the bodyguard to go to the house at Port City Garden and bring back the takeout that Stefan had ordered for her.
Elizabeth heard what Seraphina told the bodyguard, and the corners of her mouth lifted slightly. She thought to herself that this Stefan even ordered takeout for Seraphina - he seemed like a thoughtful person.
Timothy, on the other hand, felt unhappy about it.
After Seraphina asked the bodyguard to get the takeout, she opened her laptop and turned the screen slightly toward Elizabeth. "Mommy, this is the travel itinerary I made. Take a look, is it okay?"
Before going to work at the company, she definitely needed to travel with Timothy and Elizabeth first.
Elizabeth carefully looked at Seraphina's travel plan.
When Elizabeth saw that the itinerary included notes about distances to hospitals, she felt touched. They were all worried about Timothy suddenly passing out again.
Elizabeth smiled and nodded with certainty. "Let's go with this itinerary. We can even take an RV."
Timothy peeled apples for Elizabeth and Seraphina, not saying anything the whole time. After all, the ones in charge at home were them, not him.
After Seraphina finalized the itinerary, she brought up meeting Stefan that evening.
Elizabeth, as the mother, nodded right away.
Timothy, as the father, spoke up. "Don't stay out overnight. Come home before 11 PM."
Elizabeth fell silent. She never knew Timothy could be so opinionated.
Seraphina smiled and agreed. "Got it, Daddy. I'll definitely come back on time."
Before long, the bodyguard had brought back the takeout.
Seraphina opened the bag and saw the porridge Stefan had specially ordered for her. Her heart felt sweet and warm.
She had already eaten breakfast and planned to save it for lunch.
Elizabeth glanced at the bowl of porridge, thought for a moment, and made a decision. "After we come back from the trip, let's move to Port City Garden for a while."
Seraphina was surprised for a moment, then understood Elizabeth's concern. "Mommy, you don't need to worry. I'll find a chance to explain things clearly to Stefan."
Elizabeth smiled. Seraphina was so smart. "Your father and I also want to check Stefan out."
Seraphina nodded.
Brandon was sent to kindergarten, so only the three adults were home.
The whole day, the three of them played cards together.
After they finished playing cards, around 4 PM, Seraphina went to put on makeup and change clothes, getting ready to go out.
Timothy watched Seraphina come downstairs in her changed outfit and reminded her, "Seraphina, stay safe. Call us if anything happens, and remember to come home early."
Seraphina nodded obediently. "Got it, Daddy, Mommy. I'm leaving now."
She was going directly to the Robinson Group to wait for Stefan to get off work.
The Robinson Group building was located in Border Ridge City's most bustling business district, and Seraphina Enterprises was also in this business district.
The Robinson Group used to represent Border Ridge City's business strength, but after Manuel died, the Robinson Group gradually declined.
According to the current ranking of companies in Border Ridge City by overall strength, Seraphina Enterprises was far ahead in first place, followed by the Nightingale Group, the Collins Group, and the Robinson Group had dropped to fourth place.
Now Seraphina Enterprises represented Border Ridge City's business strength, and its new building was one of the city's landmarks.
Seraphina had read about Seraphina Enterprises' development history.
She truly admired Elizabeth's decision-making abilities behind the scenes.
She got out of the car and let the family driver leave first.
Seraphina checked the time - there was still half an hour before Stefan got off work.
She looked up at the Robinson Group and decided to wait for him at the coffee shop next door.
Autumn was carrying several boxes and looked down at the ground, seeming to have stepped on something. She accidentally bumped into someone.
The boxes she was holding fell to the ground, opened up, and the dresses and shoes inside scattered on the ground.
Autumn looked at the dresses and shoes scattered on the ground, her face turning very ugly. This was bad.
Seraphina didn't expect someone to suddenly bump into her back. She was startled and turned around to see the dresses and shoes on the ground.
Autumn saw Seraphina's large build and quickly glanced at the ordinary clothes Seraphina was wearing. She instantly thought of shifting the blame. "Miss, you were blocking the way! These dresses and shoes are all haute couture. Can you afford to pay for them?"
Seraphina looked at Autumn calmly and glanced at the dresses on the ground. "Miss, you bumped into me. I wasn't blocking the way. You should apologize to me."
Autumn insisted on blaming her. "You were blocking the way. These boxes of haute couture dresses and shoes got dirty because of you. You need to pay compensation!"
Seraphina raised an eyebrow. "Are you trying to scam me?"
Just then, a red sports car stopped at the entrance of the Robinson Group.
The driver got out and opened the door, and the glamorous Jane got out of the car.
Jane saw her assistant Autumn and also saw the dresses and shoes scattered on the ground. Her face instantly turned cold.
Autumn saw Jane and quickly ran over, bowing and explaining with grievance, "Ms. Robinson, she bumped into me and knocked over the boxes. I'm sorry!"
Jane glanced at Seraphina with a look of disgust. As a designer, Jane loved beautiful things, and clearly Seraphina's appearance offended Jane's eyes.
"Quickly contact someone to send new dresses and shoes. Make her pay for the losses from those on the ground."
Seraphina recognized Jane as someone from the Robinson family the moment she got out of the car.
Although Seraphina never appeared in Border Ridge City's social circles, Elizabeth and Timothy would tell Seraphina about the people and events in those circles.
So now, Seraphina recognized Jane, but Jane didn't know who Seraphina was.
Seraphina smiled. "Your assistant bumped into me. I was just standing here. I should be the one talking to her about compensation."
Jane looked at Seraphina coldly. "I think you can't afford to pay and want to dodge responsibility. Are you an employee of the Robinson Group? If so, you don't need to come to the company anymore."
