Chapter 318 Pulled His Clothes

Chapter 318 Pulled His Clothes

Delilah waited nervously for Joe's answer. She continued, "Really, I just want to say a few words."

Joe smiled, "I'll call Mr. Robinson first, but I can't guarantee he'll see you."

A flash of delight crossed Delilah's eyes. "Thank you, Mr. Watson. I really appreciate it."

The two of them walked out of the hospital first. Once outside, Joe dialed Timothy's number.

After Timothy answered, Joe reported, "BOSS, Ms. McCoy wants to see you. She says she has something to tell you."

Delilah's heart was filled with both nervousness and anticipation.

She encouraged herself silently: I just want to confess my feelings, I'm not trying to be a homewrecker. What's wrong with that?

Timothy was currently in Elizabeth's office at Seraphina Enterprises, massaging her shoulders. When he took Joe's call, his phone was on speaker.

Elizabeth was lying on the couch and raised an eyebrow.

Timothy asked casually, "What does she want?"

"I'll let her tell you directly." Joe handed the phone to Delilah, letting her speak for herself.

Delilah nervously took the phone and took a deep breath. "BOSS, I have something I want to say to you in person. Can I meet with you?"

Timothy's casual, low voice came through the phone. "Ms. McCoy, if you have something important, you can say it over the phone."

His hand continued massaging Elizabeth's shoulder.

Delilah gripped the phone tightly, her face flushed, and gathered her courage. "BOSS, I like you. From the first time I saw you, I developed feelings for you. I know this might be presumptuous, but I don't want to have regrets, so I've decided to confess my feelings to you."

Joe fell silent. Damn, so it was to confess her feelings.

Timothy's expression darkened at this unexpected confession.

Elizabeth looked surprised for a moment. She turned to look at Timothy, her lips curving into an amused smile, and tugged at his clothes.

She wasn't jealous though.

A good man will attract confessions - as long as the man stays faithful, there's no need to worry about cheating.

By the same logic, a good woman will also attract men's attention.

Seeing Elizabeth teasing him, Timothy smiled softly, cradled the back of her head with his large hand, and pressed his lips against hers.

Finally, Elizabeth couldn't take it anymore and asked him to give her a break. "Stop."

Delilah, still waiting on the other end for Timothy's response, suddenly heard Elizabeth's soft gasp. Her nervous mood instantly plummeted.

The blow came too fast and too hard.

Delilah didn't hang up immediately. Instead, she stubbornly wanted to wait for a response.

What she got instead was the phone being hung up on the other end.

Delilah bit her lip, her eyes reddening as tears welled up. She lowered her head and returned the phone to Joe. "Thank you."

After saying this, she prepared to leave quickly.

Joe called out to Delilah, "Ms. McCoy, wait."

Delilah stopped.

Joe said gently, "Ms. McCoy, BOSS only has Ms. Penrose in his heart."

Delilah's retreating figure looked somewhat disheveled.

Joe put away his phone and slipped it into his pocket. He turned to look at Sarah standing not far away.

Sarah was worried about Delilah, so she had come out specifically to check.

Sarah walked up to Joe and said quietly, "I'm sorry for the trouble."

Joe smiled slightly. "You're welcome."

He walked to where the driver had parked, opened the door, and bent down to get in.

Joe had made this call for Delilah as a favor to Sarah.

As the car drove away, he smiled helplessly, wondering if Timothy would be angry about this.

Meanwhile, in the office.

After Timothy hung up on Delilah, he carried Elizabeth to the rest room.

Elizabeth's teasing look earlier reminded Timothy of that Jacob kid.

Jacob had once tried to pursue his beloved Elizabeth.

"Wait, I don't have any backup supplies here." Elizabeth lay on her side on the bed, sighing seductively.

It was unclear whether this sigh was one of regret or schadenfreude.

They would only have Seraphina as their daughter in this lifetime and wouldn't have another child.

Timothy covered Elizabeth's body, his fingers intertwined with hers on the bed, his voice husky. "I know, don't worry. I'll finish outside."

That day during lunch break, Elizabeth started dealing with business matters an hour later than usual.

When Timothy left the office, besides carrying the thermos container, he also carried a bag. Inside the bag were bed sheets that needed to be taken home for washing.

Joe walked into the living room feeling guilty. Regarding Delilah's matter, he definitely needed to apologize to Timothy.

Timothy spoke calmly but with a hint of severity. "Don't let there be a next time."

Joe quickly nodded. "Understood, I guarantee there won't be a next time."

After this topic ended, the two discussed expanding the search efforts.

"Continue recruiting people. While the newly established missing persons company searches for Seraphina, if they find other missing people, they can help them too."

He hoped that through this expansion, they could not only find Seraphina but also help more families with similar experiences.

Joe nodded. "I understand."

That evening when Elizabeth got home from work, she walked into the living room and saw Timothy sitting on the couch looking at documents.

Timothy chose to review documents on the couch specifically so he could easily wait for Elizabeth to come home.

Elizabeth walked over, kissed him, and after sitting down said softly, "Mr. Robinson, I have a business banquet to attend tomorrow night."

Timothy put down the documents in his hand. "Who's hosting the business banquet? I'll go with you."

"The Tovar family is hosting the business banquet." Elizabeth leaned lazily against the couch. She turned to look at Timothy and shook her head with a smile. "I'll go by myself, just make an appearance and come back. It won't take long."

She didn't mention to Timothy that Maddox and the others were planning to take her life tomorrow night.

If she told him, Timothy definitely wouldn't feel comfortable letting her attend the business banquet tomorrow.

Maddox and the others wanted her life. Perfect - she didn't want to let them off either.

The next evening.

The banquet hall was brilliantly lit.

Guests dressed in gorgeous gowns chatted in small groups.

When Elizabeth, wearing a long dress, entered the venue, she attracted quite a bit of attention.

Elizabeth was now a frequently discussed figure in Border Ridge City circles.

She had both ability and beauty, drawing attention wherever she went.

Elizabeth smiled faintly and first went to greet the Tovar family hosts before chatting with several people who had partnerships with Seraphina Enterprises.

Standing not far away, Maddox and Chris exchanged glances.

A flash of smugness and cruelty crossed Maddox's eyes.

They hadn't expected Elizabeth to attend the banquet alone, which was undoubtedly a gift from heaven.

Chris said quietly to Maddox, "A rare opportunity."

The two nodded knowingly.

Elizabeth keenly sensed someone watching her.

She pretended to turn around casually and met Maddox's gaze directly.

Maddox smiled and raised his glass in acknowledgment.

Elizabeth smiled and raised her glass in return.

Just then, a waiter carrying a tray passed by Elizabeth.

His tray suddenly tipped over accidentally, and some wine from the glass spilled onto Elizabeth's dress.

Elizabeth paused slightly, looked down at her stained dress, and frowned slightly.

"I'm sorry!" The waiter's face turned pale and he quickly apologized, appearing very flustered.

Elizabeth smiled faintly, her tone calm. "It's okay, just be careful."

Seeing that Elizabeth didn't blame him, the waiter breathed a sigh of relief and apologized again before leaving.

Maddox and Chris, standing not far away, both smiled when they saw this scene.

Elizabeth went to the restroom.

She picked up a nearby napkin and simply wiped the wine stain on her dress.

She carefully examined the wine stain on her dress, confirming there was nothing unusual.

She lowered her head to tidy herself up again. A woman entered the bathroom, and suddenly someone covered Elizabeth's nose with a cloth.

Elizabeth instantly lost consciousness.
