Chapter 305 She Squats on the Ground Eating

Chapter 305 She Squats on the Ground Eating

"Mom, you know what? Elizabeth is so stupid. She actually gave up all her inheritance rights to the Nightingale family."

After leaving the Nightingale family and returning home, Juniper couldn't help but happily share the news with Aurelia.

Aurelia was also shocked, but then said with a big smile, "That's great. Later we'll find a way to get Freya to hand everything from the Nightingale family over to you and Herschel. As long as Elizabeth and Freya don't get along, we don't need to do anything extra."

Worried that Juniper might be careless and mess things up, Aurelia reminded her, "You just need to spend time with Freya when you're free. Don't do anything else."

Juniper nodded and promised seriously, "Mom, I understand."

Juniper decided to spend time with Freya whenever she was free from now on!

While Juniper was happy about Elizabeth giving up the Nightingale family inheritance, Maeve was worried.

When Maeve returned to the Nightingale family and heard Freya mention Elizabeth giving up her inheritance rights, Maeve could only sigh inwardly while telling Freya to put more effort into improving her relationship with Elizabeth.

Seeing Freya's unhappy expression, Maeve sat on the sofa and said earnestly, "Freya, you need to be sincere with Elizabeth. Otherwise, she really won't come back to the Nightingale family. Put in more effort, care about her more, take it slowly."

Freya nodded, "I understand."

To avoid leaving Russell with regrets, she would try her best to improve her relationship with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth went straight back to the office from the lawyer's office and worked until six o'clock.

Just as she was rubbing her slightly stiff neck, her phone rang.

She picked up her phone and looked at the caller ID. It was a number from Avalonia. She quickly answered.

Mabel's voice came through, carrying a hint of urgency and tension.

She stood in a pavilion, turning to look at the heavy rain outside. "Elizabeth, for the next while, you might not be able to reach me. Once things settle down, I'll call you."

Elizabeth frowned, feeling somewhat uneasy. "What happened? Where are you now?"

Knowing time was tight, Mabel didn't explain much. "Elizabeth, don't worry, I'm fine. I left Alfonso, I'm safe. You and Mr. Robinson don't need to come looking for me. I have to hang up now."

As soon as she finished speaking, Mabel hung up.

Elizabeth held her phone, feeling puzzled and worried.

Elizabeth didn't know what had happened to Mabel.

Elizabeth turned off her computer, quickly gathered her things, and left the office.

Elizabeth decided to go home and discuss Mabel's situation with Timothy.

As soon as Elizabeth got home, Timothy saw her serious expression. He walked over and took her handbag. "What happened?"

Elizabeth told Timothy about the phone call from Mabel earlier.

Elizabeth said worriedly, "I wonder what happened between Mabel and Alfonso?"

After listening, Timothy frowned, clearly realizing something might have happened.

"She told us not to look for her for now, so she should be able to handle it herself. I'll have someone check if something happened on Alfonso's end."

Timothy said calmly, then took out his phone and made a call. "Check what's been happening with Alfonso recently, as quickly as possible."

After giving instructions, he hung up. Seeing the tiredness on Elizabeth's face and her hand rubbing her neck, he knew she'd had a long day.

"Have you eaten dinner?" he asked.

"No."

Timothy sent a message to have vegetarian food delivered.

The two went upstairs to their room. Timothy walked into the bathroom and started running warm water in the bathtub.

Elizabeth walked into the bathroom holding a bathrobe. She put the bathrobe down and took off her clothes.

The soft bathroom light fell on her body, highlighting her beautiful silhouette.

She quickly took a shower first, gently twisting her neck. The soreness made her frown.

She walked into the bathtub and soaked in the warm water, feeling its temperature.

Elizabeth looked up to admire Timothy showering.

Openly admiring him.

Timothy quickly showered, grabbed a bottle of massage oil, and got into the bathtub.

His tall, lean figure sat in the bathtub. What had seemed like a spacious bathtub suddenly felt crowded with his long legs.

"Elizabeth, turn around. I'll massage your shoulders."

Elizabeth obediently turned around, leaning against the edge of the bathtub with her back to Timothy.

Timothy's palms slowly pressed on her shoulders, his fingertips gently pressing on her skin.

His movements were neither too heavy nor too light, the pressure just right.

Elizabeth felt very comfortable.

He lowered his head and asked softly near her ear, "How does it feel? Is the pressure okay?"

Elizabeth's voice carried a hint of satisfaction, her body feeling very relaxed. "Yes, it's very comfortable."

Seeing her lazy appearance, Timothy smiled and continued massaging her shoulders and back until her bath time was about up, then he lifted her out.

Elizabeth went to wash her hair first, while Timothy casually put on a bathrobe, tying it as he left the bathroom.

He went downstairs.

When Elizabeth came downstairs, she heard Timothy on the phone with someone.

She picked up a wine bottle and poured herself a glass, thinking that drinking some wine might help her sleep tonight.

Timothy saw Elizabeth pouring wine and placed an empty glass in front of her too.

Elizabeth smiled and poured him half a glass as well.

Timothy said to Philip on the other end of the phone, "Philip, thank you. I'll send someone to verify even the smallest lead."

Philip on the other end said, "Mr. Robinson, we'll do our best to search."

Elizabeth lowered her eyes, hiding the faint sadness in them. She picked up her wine glass and was about to take a small sip when Timothy stopped her.

After Timothy finished talking business with Philip, he hung up and reached out to hold Elizabeth's hand. "You need to eat dinner first before you can drink."

"Okay." Elizabeth left the bar and went to the dining room.

Timothy carried his glass of wine and followed Elizabeth to the dining room.

He had already eaten dinner and was now sitting there to keep Elizabeth company.

He waited for her to finish eating, his slender fingers tidying her hair, before slowly speaking. "Elizabeth, we will find Seraphina."

For parents who have lost their child, what they think about most every day is that the child will be found.

Elizabeth responded and nodded. "We will find her."

After dinner, Timothy didn't stop Elizabeth from having a little wine, otherwise she would wake up startled throughout the night.

At this moment, in a small mountain village, at the Runyon family home.

Seraphina accidentally knocked over the bowl in her hands.

The rice in her bowl fell to the ground.

Zara angrily put down her utensils and slapped Seraphina. "Pick it up and eat it, or you'll go hungry tonight! Can't even hold a bowl steady."

Seraphina covered her stinging face, tears welling in her eyes. She held back her tears, her small body crouching on the ground, reaching out her little hands to pick up the rice from the floor.

Seraphina only knew she was very hungry.

The rice was covered with dust from the ground.

She crouched on the ground eating it.

While the Runyon family sat in their chairs eating their meal.
