Chapter 278 I Hug You?
Whether to have a child or not.
Mabel admitted she was a bit scared.
She got in the car, closed her eyes and pretended to sleep, but ended up actually falling asleep.
The car headed to the hospital.
Mabel slept soundly in the car with her head tilted to one side.
Alfonso handled his work and didn't disturb her sleep.
When they arrived at the hospital, Alfonso saw that Mabel was still asleep. He raised his eyebrows, opened the fridge, and took out a ham.
He tore open the ham packaging and held it to her lips.
"Mabel Darling, open your mouth, eat something." Alfonso gently pinched her ear while coaxing her in a low voice.
When just woken up, Mabel usually wouldn't open her eyes right away, but would open her mouth cooperatively.
She was incredibly obedient.
Alfonso used to feed her water and food after making love, and Mabel would also open her mouth and eat without thinking.
She took a bite of the ham and chewed mechanically.
Alfonso chuckled softly, "How is it? Tasty?"
After a while.
Mabel finally opened her eyes. She looked at Alfonso who was so close to her and nodded somewhat confused, "It's okay."
Alfonso's hand cupped the back of her head as he leaned over and took the food from her mouth.
With a hint of punishment.
After she was fully awake, they straightened their clothes and got out of the car.
Mabel walked into the hospital with a tense face.
Alfonso seemed to follow her slowly, but thanks to his long legs, he stayed right behind her.
The two entered Elizabeth's hospital room one after the other.
In the room, the doctor was explaining Elizabeth's physical condition to her in detail.
Elizabeth's body was recovering well.
The doctor closed the medical record and smiled, "Ms. Penrose's recovery is going well. Remember to rest and avoid intense physical activity."
Elizabeth nodded in thanks, "Thank you."
After the doctor left the room.
Timothy looked at Mabel and Alfonso, "You two go outside first."
Mabel and Alfonso obediently walked out of the room and closed the door.
Timothy walked to the bed and carefully picked up Elizabeth, taking her to the bathroom.
He frowned, his tone full of concern, "Be careful yourself, or should I hold you while you go?"
He originally planned to hold her directly while she used the toilet, but she refused.
Elizabeth still had some sense of shame. She stubbornly shook her head, "I can do it myself, I don't need your help."
She was afraid she wouldn't be able to pee if he held her.
Timothy was still worried, "Can I at least stand inside?"
Elizabeth's knee hadn't fully healed from when she slipped in the bathroom last time, and then it got injured again when the wheelchair ran over it. Timothy was afraid she'd fall again just using the toilet.
"Mr. Robinson, stop nagging, I really need to go." Elizabeth didn't want to waste more words with Timothy.
Timothy sighed helplessly but still respected her wishes.
He gently placed her next to the toilet, letting her hold onto the railing, "I'll wait outside. Call me if you need anything."
Elizabeth nodded. She waited for Timothy to leave the bathroom and closed the door, then carefully took care of things herself.
Timothy stood outside the bathroom. When he heard Elizabeth calling him from inside, "Mr. Robinson, you can come in now."
He immediately went in and carried her back to bed.
After everything was settled with Elizabeth, Timothy went to open the door and called Mabel and the others in.
Mabel grabbed Alfonso's arm and said in a low voice, "Wait outside. I have private things to discuss with Elizabeth and them."
Alfonso's eyes flickered slightly, and he smiled gently, "Okay."
Mabel walked into the room and closed the door, blocking Alfonso's view.
Mabel walked to Elizabeth's bedside and lowered her voice, "Elizabeth, Albert has agreed to the arranged marriage with me, but there's another problem. Alfonso wants to take me to Avalonia in half a month. What should I do? What if he comes back to Border Ridge City with me during this time?"
Elizabeth thought for a moment and gave Mabel an idea, "You can contact his mother."
Mabel frowned, somewhat hesitant, "Contact his mother? Will she help me?"
Elizabeth explained, "Alfonso's mother has always opposed you two being together. She might help you call her son back to Avalonia."
Mabel thought about it and agreed. She nodded and breathed a sigh of relief, "Okay, I'll contact his mother tonight. Thank you, Elizabeth."
By the time Alfonso came back for her, everything would be settled.
At this moment.
Alfonso, standing outside the room, sent a message to his subordinates.
He sent people to Border Ridge City to watch the Sanchez family's movements, especially Albert.
Not long after Mabel and Alfonso left the hospital, a bodyguard guarding outside the room knocked and entered, "Ms. Penrose, there's a Ms. Palmer outside who wants to see you."
Elizabeth closed her laptop with confusion, "Let her in."
Sarah walked into the room. When Sarah saw Timothy in the room, a flash of surprise crossed her eyes.
Then Sarah understood. So that's how it was.
So Elizabeth was Timothy's wife.
Thinking about how everyone had previously mistaken Sarah for Timothy's wife, Sarah felt very awkward now seeing Elizabeth.
Sarah came up today to find Elizabeth to apologize for the incident where Elizabeth got hurt by the wheelchair.
Sarah stood by the bed, bowed, and apologized sincerely, "Ms. Penrose, hello, I'm Sarah. I came today to apologize for what happened a few days ago. I'm sorry you got hurt."
Elizabeth smiled faintly and gestured for her to sit, "Please sit, Ms. Palmer. You were also a victim in that incident. I don't blame you."
Sarah didn't sit down. Her face showed sincere remorse, "I'm truly sorry for causing you trouble. I hope you recover soon."
Her eyes showed guilt, and her tone was genuine.
Elizabeth chuckled softly, "You didn't do it on purpose. I accept your apology."
Before Sarah left the room, Elizabeth gave her a Facebook account she used for work, "Ms. Palmer, you were very professional when explaining the testing equipment issue that day. Maybe we'll have a chance to communicate in the future."
Sarah walked out of the room and into the elevator. She looked dazedly at the sticky note in her hand.
On it was Elizabeth's Facebook account.
She blinked and took out her phone to add Elizabeth's Facebook.
In the hospital room, Elizabeth accepted Sarah's friend request.
Elizabeth put down her phone, the corners of her lips slightly upturned. She looked at Timothy, "Mr. Robinson, has Joe found any problems with Sarah?"
