Chapter 256 Return to Silverlight City
The employees at the ElizaTimo Group were completely shocked when they heard Timothy was coming to the company.
Some of them had been with the company for seven years and had never seen this mysterious boss.
All the senior management went to the conference room.
And the employees, who were usually a bit laid-back, were especially serious and careful today.
Sarah was reporting to the ElizaTimo Group for her first day.
Belle from HR enthusiastically showed her around the different departments and explained, "We have our meals on the second floor."
Sarah nodded and said politely, "Thank you."
The elevator doors opened, and several impressive-looking men walked in with Timothy.
Belle and Sarah both stepped back a few steps at the same time to make room for them.
Sarah accidentally looked up and saw Timothy standing in the middle walking in. She froze.
Timothy was tall and slender, wearing an extremely black shirt. She recognized him as the man she'd seen at the airport before.
She never expected to run into him again here.
Sarah couldn't help but lower her head and didn't keep looking.
When the elevator reached the eighth floor and those men got out, Belle lowered her voice and said, "The one in the blue suit with slightly curly hair is our company's chairman, Dennis Larson."
Sarah nodded. She didn't curiously ask about the others.
The elevator doors closed again and continued going up.
Belle had a cheerful personality. She smiled and said, "Actually, our company's name wasn't what it is now five years ago."
Sarah nodded seriously, "I looked up information about the company. I know about the name change."
Belle smiled. This new hire seemed pretty good.
After the meeting ended.
In the chairman's office.
Dennis looked up and asked Timothy across from him, "Why did you suddenly move to Solstice? Should I throw you a welcome dinner tonight?"
Timothy shook his head slightly, "No need for a welcome dinner." He put the map in his hand on the desk, pushed it in front of Dennis, and pointed at the marked area. "I came today for another important matter. Send a team to Border Ridge City and try to buy this area at White Sand Beach."
Dennis was a bit confused and looked at the map with a frown, "Our company's business has nothing to do with the ocean. And buying an ocean area isn't easy."
Timothy looked up at Dennis, his eyes showing determination and calmness, "I have my reasons."
Dennis looked carefully at the map, then at Timothy's expression, and asked, "Can you share your plan? Or rather, why are you so set on this ocean area?"
Timothy smiled faintly, "A gift for my daughter."
Dennis paused, clearly surprised by this answer, "You have a daughter?"
"Yes." Timothy didn't want to discuss this topic further.
Dennis nodded, "I'll send an elite team to Border Ridge City as soon as possible to handle the purchase of the White Sand Beach area."
Timothy extended his hand. The two shook hands, and he stood up, "No need to see me out."
Dennis stood up and watched Timothy leave.
Border Ridge City.
Early the next morning, Elizabeth, Mabel, and Alfonso went to the airport together.
The airport terminal was bustling with people coming and going.
The sounds of announcements and passengers chatting mixed together, full of rush and noise.
They went through security and boarded the plane to Silverlight City.
The plane slowly taxied, then took off. The scenery outside the window gradually became smaller.
Elizabeth sat by the window, gazing distantly outside.
She reached into her jacket pocket. Inside was a photo of Seraphina. She murmured to herself, "Seraphina, I'm taking you back to see my family."
Mabel had refused to say more than necessary to Alfonso since morning.
The atmosphere between them was a bit stiff.
Alfonso tried to speak several times, but each time Mabel gave him a cold stare, so he had to keep quiet.
The plane landed at Silverlight City airport. The three of them checked into Windward Hotel, had something to eat, and went straight to the cemetery.
Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground.
The cemetery was quiet and solemn, with only the rustling of wind through leaves and birds chirping.
Elizabeth knelt in front of a gravestone, gently wiping the dust off the photo.
Quinton in the photo had a gentle smile at the corners of his mouth—a smile that had once been the warmest presence in her life.
Elizabeth's voice was tender, "Quinton, I'm back. It's been a long time."
Mabel and Alfonso stood nearby watching this scene. Mabel's heart felt heavy.
When Elizabeth had her car accident, Quinton's first reaction was to protect Elizabeth.
Mabel stepped forward, placed a bouquet of fresh flowers in front of the gravestone, and said quietly, "Quinton, your cooking was absolutely delicious. To this day, I haven't had food that good."
After saying this, Mabel pulled Alfonso away a bit to give Elizabeth some private space.
Mabel knew Elizabeth probably had a lot to say to Quinton.
Elizabeth took out a photo from her pocket. Seraphina had a sweet and lovely smile. She said, "This is my daughter, Seraphina. She's very good and very understanding. I was planning to bring her to see you in a few months."
Elizabeth's tears finally couldn't help but fall.
Elizabeth took a deep breath and wiped away her tears. She leaned her face against the gravestone, "Quinton, you must have met Seraphina by now, right? Isn't she adorable?"
Time passed, she didn't know how long.
Elizabeth put the photo back in her pocket and stood up, "I'll come see you again next time."
The three of them left the cemetery and went to the building in Faith Residence community.
Elizabeth had never sold this place, but because no one had lived there for a long time, it was full of dust and currently uninhabitable.
This time she planned to take Quinton's things.
By the time the three of them finished sorting and packing everything, and contacted people to move these things, it was already 4 PM.
They returned to the hotel and quickly freshened up before going to the hotel restaurant for dinner.
The restaurant had soft lighting and an elegant atmosphere.
Elizabeth and the others found a seat by the window and ordered a few dishes.
"Elizabeth? Is that you, Elizabeth?" Brynn looked in surprise at the charming and elegant Elizabeth in front of her, "Why are you back in Silverlight City?"
Elizabeth looked up and sized up Brynn in front of her. She pulled from her memory who this person was—she seemed to be the one who married Armando. "Ms. Potts?"
Elizabeth's tone carried a hint of uncertainty, because her impression of Brynn was already quite vague.
