Chapter 251 Taken Away
Timothy stood on stage waiting for Elizabeth.
When Timothy saw Manuel and the others, he was puzzled, but now wasn't the time to worry about that.
Jane in the audience saw Timothy and just started to call out "Dad."
But Cecilia quickly covered her mouth, "Jane, be good. Don't shout, or you'll get scolded."
Jane felt so wronged she wanted to cry.
The wedding march began playing.
Accompanied by Russell, Elizabeth walked to Timothy's side and gently placed her hand in his palm.
Timothy held Elizabeth's hand tightly.
The officiant began the ceremony, "Today, we are here to witness the wedding of Mr. Robinson and Ms. Penrose. They've been through so much together and have finally made it to this moment. Let's give them our most sincere blessings."
Timothy and Elizabeth exchanged vows and rings in front of everyone.
He gently cupped her face with both hands and kissed her forehead.
The guests applauded in celebration.
Timothy bent down to pick up Seraphina and solemnly announced, "There's another happy occasion today. This is our biological daughter, Seraphina."
Timothy had done good publicity work in the past few days, so everyone knew that he and Elizabeth had been lovers for a long time.
Cecilia watched the lively scene and felt unhappy. She turned and quietly said to Manuel, "I'm taking Jane outside."
Manuel nodded, "Okay."
Jane stared at Seraphina in Timothy's arms. She hated Seraphina!
After the ceremony, it was time for the bride and groom to toast with the guests.
Elizabeth went to her room to change into another dress, and the makeup team redid her hair.
In the hall.
Elara and Aurelia walked toward Freya with smiles on their faces.
"Mrs. Nightingale, congratulations."
"Thank you." Freya smiled.
Elara looked at Seraphina sitting obediently in her chair, a touch of tenderness in her eyes. "This is Seraphina, right? Hello, you're so cute."
Elara reached out and patted Seraphina's head.
Freya smiled and said to Seraphina, "Seraphina, say hello to Mrs. Bailey."
After greeting her, Seraphina looked at Elara with clear, bright eyes full of curiosity.
Elara couldn't help but be charmed by Seraphina's cuteness. She picked up Seraphina and sighed, "I really wish I had such an adorable granddaughter."
Elara held Seraphina with a loving smile on her face.
Freya smiled.
Timothy had arranged bodyguards around to protect Seraphina and ensure her safety.
The bodyguards monitored everything from inconspicuous corners, their eyes never leaving Seraphina.
Elara looked down, quickly calculating how she could take Seraphina away without the bodyguards noticing.
It seemed difficult, but she wasn't going to give up.
She put Seraphina down.
Actually, the best approach would be to wait until Freya took Seraphina out to play someday, then Elara could take her.
"Grandma, I need to go to the bathroom," Seraphina said, looking up at Freya.
Just then, Elara's eyes flickered. She smiled, "I was just about to go to the bathroom. How about I take Seraphina? The bride should be coming out soon."
Freya nodded, "Thank you."
Elara took Seraphina's little hand and went to the bathroom, opened an empty stall, went inside, and closed the door.
After Seraphina finished, Elara took out a spray bottle and sprayed it toward Seraphina's face.
Seraphina's originally clear, bright eyes soon became dazed and confused.
Elara carried Seraphina out of the bathroom.
The door of the next stall also opened, and a little girl came out—it was Jane.
Jane tilted her head curiously, looking at Seraphina in Elara's arms.
Seeing no one else in the bathroom, Elara's eyes darted around, and she instantly had an idea.
Elara bent down and said softly to Jane, "You're Jane, right? Your daddy is waiting for you in the hall."
Jane blinked, a bit confused. She didn't know the person in front of her.
But she understood what Elara said. She happily ran out of the bathroom, heading straight for the hall.
In the hall.
Timothy and Elizabeth were toasting with guests.
Suddenly, Jane's voice calling for daddy rang out.
"Daddy."
It caught everyone off guard.
The guests were stunned.
Jane ran over and hugged Timothy's leg. "Daddy."
Some people recognized Jane.
They whispered among themselves, "Isn't that one of the Tommy and Jane that Manuel publicly acknowledged? Didn't Timothy already announce a few days ago that Tommy and Jane's father was someone else?"
Others speculated—who knows what the truth is, maybe Timothy just doesn't want to acknowledge Tommy and Jane because of Elizabeth?
Timothy frowned slightly. His wonderful day was being ruined. He said coldly, "I'm not your daddy."
Alfonso tried to carry Jane away.
Jane clung desperately to Timothy's leg and wouldn't let go. She started crying and making a scene, and things got chaotic for a moment.
"I don't want to go! I want Daddy!"
Elizabeth took a deep breath, reminding herself—she's just a kid, just a kid, don't get angry.
Just then, Elara walked into the hall carrying Seraphina, whose eyes were vacant.
Elara walked up to Freya and said gently, "Mrs. Nightingale, it's a bit chaotic here. Seraphina seems very sleepy. Let me take her outside to play for a while."
Seeing Jane crying at the wedding, Freya was very angry and was about to go pick her up.
Hearing Elara's words, Freya turned to look at Seraphina and saw her looking drowsy. "Okay, thank you."
Elara felt secretly pleased. She carried Seraphina and walked quickly toward the hall entrance.
As long as she could leave the hall, she'd have a chance to take Seraphina away.
"Seraphina, I have really cute dolls in my car. Do you want them? I'll take you to get them."
Elara carried Seraphina and walked quickly to her car, her heart racing.
She had just opened the driver's side door.
A bodyguard suddenly appeared, "Madam, please hand Ms. Penrose to me."
Because Freya knew Elara, the bodyguards hadn't stopped Elara from holding Seraphina, but if Elara wanted to get in the car, that wasn't allowed.
Elara was startled for a moment, then pretended to be calm, showing a smile. "Don't worry, I'm just letting Seraphina climb over to get the doll herself."
Elara stepped into the driver's seat with one foot and placed Seraphina in the passenger seat. "Seraphina, go get the doll."
The door suddenly slammed shut, and she quickly started the car. The engine roared, and the car shot forward.
The bodyguard's expression changed. He spoke into his radio, "Close the gate! Ms. Penrose has been taken."
Elara drove while making a call, "Blow up the gate!"
Because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt, Seraphina hit the car door, her small body rolling off the seat and falling to the floor below.
She couldn't get up.
She was unaware, feeling no pain at all.
