Chapter 207 Running Away from Home
A moment of silence.
Elizabeth immediately covered Seraphina's eyes.
"You two carry on, don't mind us."
Elizabeth smiled as she held Seraphina and quickly made their exit.
Mabel pushed Alfonso away, her face turning bright red.
Being caught in this situation by Elizabeth was so embarrassing.
Alfonso's handsome face looked refined as he gently licked his bitten lip.
Very reasonably, he helped tidy Mabel's hair. "I'm staying right next door now. If you need anything, come find me. If you're scared at night, you can come find me too."
"Get lost." Mabel glared at him.
Alfonso's fingertip touched the corner of her flushed eye, and just as Mabel was about to lose her temper, he quickly took off.
Mabel rubbed her face and hurried to call Elizabeth.
Elizabeth brought Seraphina back upstairs. They entered the room, and the bodyguards left after putting the luggage inside.
"Elizabeth, what's this about?" Mabel looked at the suitcase, feeling a bit confused.
"Had a fight. I'm running away from home now." Elizabeth let Seraphina go play by herself, reminding her to be careful of the wound on her palm.
"What?"
Mabel couldn't believe it and rubbed her ears.
Timothy didn't seem like the type of man who would fight with Elizabeth.
"What on earth happened between you two?" Mabel's voice carried a hint of anxiety.
Elizabeth sat on the sofa, crossing her long legs, and looked up. "What's so shocking about a fight? What couple doesn't fight? Who was that man just now?"
Mabel scratched her head and was silent for a moment. "Ex-boyfriend."
Elizabeth was puzzled.
As an outsider, Elizabeth didn't think it was appropriate to get involved in their relationship.
Since Mabel didn't want to continue talking about Alfonso, Elizabeth didn't ask.
However, Elizabeth planned to book another room so she wouldn't disturb Mabel and the others.
Seraphina kept turning her little head to look at Elizabeth. When Elizabeth noticed, she would turn her little head back.
Elizabeth found it amusing. "Seraphina, what's up?"
"Mommy, what does running away from home mean?"
Elizabeth pretended to think seriously before answering. "Running away from home means leaving the house to go out and have fun."
Mabel was speechless. Elizabeth was so unreliable.
Elizabeth leaned against the sofa and took off the hair tie, letting her long hair fall over her shoulders.
Elizabeth didn't know how Timothy would handle Tommy and Jane's situation.
But from both Jake and Timothy, she could see that Annie was very important to them.
The first night Elizabeth moved out.
Seraphina started missing Timothy.
And Elizabeth wouldn't admit that she also missed Timothy's hugs.
Recently, Timothy had been the one telling bedtime stories to Seraphina.
Tonight it was Elizabeth's turn.
After Elizabeth finished the story.
Seraphina looked up, blinking her eyes. "Mommy, Seraphina wants to say goodnight to Daddy. Can I?"
Elizabeth looked at Seraphina's hopeful eyes. At this moment, Elizabeth really wanted to take Seraphina back home.
But thinking was one thing - Elizabeth still didn't plan to go back.
Elizabeth smiled, her voice gentle. "Of course you can. I'll call him right now."
Elizabeth dialed Timothy's number and handed the phone to Seraphina.
Seraphina held the phone with one small hand, bringing it close to her ear.
At that moment, in The Robinson Mansion study.
Timothy, who hadn't set foot in The Robinson Mansion for many years, kicked aside a vase that had shattered at his feet.
One of Manuel's collection pieces.
An early 18th-century vase, just like that, destroyed.
What a waste.
Manuel turned to look out the window.
His stern face showed hair that was already half gray, revealing his age.
He turned around and said coldly, "Timothy, I will never agree to let you send Jane and the others away."
Just then, Timothy's phone rang.
"I don't need your agreement." Timothy's attitude was casual at first, but seeing Elizabeth's name on the caller ID, he told Manuel to pause. "Sorry, I need to take this call."
Timothy's attitude was adding fuel to the fire. Manuel was about to curse, but seeing Timothy answer the phone, he could only shut up for now.
After all, it wouldn't be good for outsiders to hear him losing his temper and cursing.
"Daddy." Seraphina's adorable voice came through the phone into Timothy's ear.
Timothy's handsome face immediately showed a gentle smile the moment he heard Seraphina's voice.
His voice instantly softened. "Seraphina."
"Daddy, goodnight." Seraphina said goodnight very seriously.
Her voice was so young and sweet.
"Kisses, goodnight. Where's your mommy?" Timothy was concerned about Elizabeth.
"Mommy is working."
"Can you tell your mommy to go to bed early and not work too late?"
"Okay, I promise to complete the mission." Seraphina nodded.
Manuel was surprised. He looked at Timothy talking on the phone in the distance as if he'd seen a ghost.
Timothy only talked to Seraphina for five minutes, since it was Seraphina's bedtime. After he hung up, he felt both disappointed and happy.
Disappointed that he couldn't hold Elizabeth while sleeping tonight.
Happy that Seraphina still remembered to say goodnight to him.
Timothy put away his phone and continued the conversation with Manuel. "I'll arrange for Tommy and Jane to go abroad."
"No way! You can't send them abroad. They're still so young." Manuel would never agree. He frowned and scolded, "Elizabeth just came back, and you want to send away your sister's children. Timothy, don't be so heartless. They're so young, and they're not in your way."
Timothy looked at Manuel's angry expression and deliberately showed a helpless look, smiling. "Manuel, this arrangement is actually good for them. They can get better educational resources abroad."
"Bullshit!"
Manuel was almost furious. Timothy actually came up with such a righteous-sounding reason. "They're still very young. I'm not comfortable with it."
"If you're not comfortable, you can go abroad with them," Timothy said coldly. "If you don't want to send them abroad, that's fine too. I'll publicly announce that Tommy and Jane's biological father is Erik, and Erik is your illegitimate son."
Basically pinning an illegitimate son Erik on Manuel.
As long as it didn't affect Annie, Timothy thought this method was pretty good too.
"You wouldn't dare!"
"Want to see if I dare?"
Manuel was really growing more and more displeased with Elizabeth. If she hadn't come back, Timothy would never send Tommy and Jane away.
In the study, there was silence for a while.
"You don't need to arrange it. I'll arrange to send Jane and the others abroad in a month." Manuel understood Timothy. If Manuel didn't compromise, Timothy would find ways to send them away anyway.
Seeing his goal achieved, Timothy prepared to leave. Before leaving, he reminded Manuel once more, "Remember to send them away in a month."
The study door closed. Timothy pretended not to hear Manuel cursing at him.
He left The Robinson Mansion and immediately called Elizabeth to tell her that Tommy and Jane would be sent abroad in a month.
"Okay, I got it." Elizabeth hung up after listening.
Timothy was silent. He hadn't asked when she and Seraphina were coming home yet.
Elizabeth slowly sent Timothy a follow-up text: [We'll talk in a few days. Not coming back for now]
Not long after Timothy left The Robinson Mansion, Cecilia also learned that he was sending Tommy and Jane abroad.
"Mr. Robinson, Jane and the others are still so young. I feel so sad about it." Cecilia walked behind Manuel and massaged his shoulders, saying softly.
"I'm sad about it too." Manuel frowned and said in a low voice. He gently patted Cecilia's hands massaging his shoulders. "You go ahead with your business. I still have things to handle."
Cecilia left the study and went to the yoga room. She smiled slightly.
She called Emma.
"Emma, Timothy came to The Robinson Mansion tonight. He's sending Jane and Tommy abroad in a month."
