Chapter 133 Don't Mind
# The Next Day at Noon
Elizabeth went to Faith Residence to see Mabel.
On the way, she picked up two lunch boxes and some milk tea.
Knowing Mabel, she'd probably just woken up not long ago.
Elizabeth used her key to open the door and walked in. Mabel saw her and happily came over to take the lunch. "It's so hot outside today."
"Yeah, it's killing me. I'm going to take a shower first. You go ahead and eat."
Elizabeth hadn't moved all her things from Faith Residence yet—she still had clothes here.
When she came out of the shower, she heard Mabel eating while talking on the phone.
"Elizabeth already brought me lunch," Mabel said to Yosef on the other end when she saw Elizabeth come out. "I need to eat now, so I'm hanging up. Bye bye."
Mabel hung up and thought for a moment.
Elizabeth sat down and opened her lunch box, looking up at Mabel. "What are you thinking about? You look so serious."
"Elizabeth, after I go to Border Ridge City for your engagement party, I'm not planning to come back to Silverlight City," Mabel said calmly. "I'm going somewhere else."
Elizabeth asked in surprise, "Why?"
Mabel bit her utensil and smiled—a pure, innocent smile. "Elizabeth, I may be naive, but I'm not stupid. I've started to sense that the boundaries between Yosef and me are getting a bit dangerous."
She ate a piece of vegetable and said matter-of-factly, "I heard his mom has been actively looking for marriage prospects for him lately."
As Yosef's secretary, Elizabeth naturally knew about Lyric helping him find marriage prospects recently.
She just hadn't expected her suspicion to be true.
These two.
Mabel smiled. "Elizabeth, I was in love once before. I thought we loved each other so much, but we still ended up breaking up. Sometimes love doesn't mean you'll make it to the end."
After chatting and finishing lunch, they looked at the engagement venue options Elizabeth had brought.
They finally chose the castle Timothy had built a couple years ago.
Elizabeth had to get back to TechStrong in the afternoon. After selecting the venue, she texted Timothy about it. Before leaving Faith Residence, Elizabeth told Mabel, "Don't skip breakfast every day, okay?"
When Elizabeth used to live there, at least two or three mornings a week, the two women would supervise each other to get up for breakfast.
Mabel made an OK gesture.
Near the Faith Residence building, vendors would come daily to sell fresh fruit and vegetables.
With no fruit at home, Elizabeth decided to buy some apples right there.
"Miss, how much per pound for apples?"
Elizabeth grabbed a bag and started picking apples while asking.
Julie, who had her back to Elizabeth, was bending down to pick up fruit that had fallen on the ground. Hearing Elizabeth's voice, she straightened up and turned around. "10 dol—"
Julie's words stopped abruptly when she saw Elizabeth.
She hadn't expected to run into Elizabeth under these circumstances.
Elizabeth, standing before her, was still so vibrant and beautiful even after being abandoned by Armando. Meanwhile, Julie looked down at her own cheap clothes.
Elizabeth also recognized Julie.
After Julie and her father had done those ungrateful things to her, they'd been taken away by Armando's people.
Elizabeth hadn't seen them since that day.
Elizabeth's expression was blank as she put down the bag of apples. "Sorry, I'm not buying."
She turned and walked away.
Julie watched as the driver respectfully opened the car door for Elizabeth.
It was an expensive luxury car.
Julie felt intensely jealous and also lost.
Elizabeth had been sent to an orphanage as a child—why was she living better than Julie now?
"Elizabeth." Julie ran after her and called out.
Elizabeth sat in the car, her eyes cool as she looked at her.
"Aren't you going to ask me about what happened back then?" Julie asked.
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow and curved her red lips. "No need. I'm guessing you took Sherry's money and deliberately tried to harm me. But even though I don't know what happened to you after that, seeing how you're living now makes me happy."
The car door closed and the car drove away.
Julie stood there stunned for a moment.
---
Running into Julie was just a small incident.
When the car passed a men's clothing store, Elizabeth had the driver stop.
The store had three floors.
She suddenly realized she'd never bought Timothy a gift.
Feeling a bit guilty, Elizabeth got out of the car and walked into the store. After looking around, she decided to buy Timothy a shirt.
"Elizabeth?" Tom was coming downstairs and happened to see Elizabeth picking out a shirt. "What a coincidence."
Elizabeth turned her head and greeted Tom.
Armando was on the phone, walking behind Tom. His eyes fell on Elizabeth, then on the men's shirt in her hands.
After Elizabeth selected a shirt and paid for it, she felt it was too simple. After thinking about it, she also made a restaurant reservation.
Elizabeth texted Timothy: [Mr. Robinson, let's go on a date tonight. I've already booked a restaurant]
Timothy saw Elizabeth's message during his break, and his eyes immediately lit up with a smile. [Okay]
He didn't have many patients that afternoon, so he deliberately left work early and drove to a flower shop.
Timothy walked into the flower shop. The owner was an older woman.
She was very friendly.
"Young man, buying flowers for your girlfriend?"
"Yes," Timothy nodded with a gentle expression. He looked around. "Ma'am, I'll take this bouquet of blue roses."
She had already wrapped the blue roses beautifully—she had skillful hands.
"Great," she smiled. "When I was young, I loved roses too. When my husband was still alive, he gave me flowers every year. You young people should learn from that."
Timothy thanked her sincerely.
After buying the flowers, he checked the time. He'd planned to arrive at the restaurant early, but when he walked in, Elizabeth was already there.
There were no other customers in the restaurant—it seemed to be reserved.
When Timothy saw Elizabeth, also holding a bouquet of roses and wearing a red dress, he was a bit stunned. Then they both smiled at each other at the same time.
He just hadn't expected Elizabeth to buy flowers for him too.
Timothy's lips curved into a smile.
His eyes were deep as he walked up to her, bent down slightly, and cupped the back of her head with his large hand.
They held their flowers up, blocking the romance between their lips and teeth.
The chandelier light above the restaurant shone on the two embracing figures.
Elizabeth in her beautiful red dress and Timothy in his white shirt held each other tightly.

Meanwhile, at Greenview Mansion.
Emma was directing the servants to organize things that would be shipped to Border Ridge City.
When Ophelia walked into the living room, she saw Emma, looking healthy, directing the servants.
"Emma, sit down properly," Ophelia frowned as she walked over. "Look at your belly. They can handle the organizing."
"These are paintings I want. Don't worry, Mom. The babies in my belly are being very good," Emma said sweetly. "Mom, let's go upstairs to talk."
Ophelia had come specially to see Emma off. Emma was flying to Border Ridge City tonight.
The mother and daughter talked in the study.
"Mom, don't tell anyone about me going to Border Ridge City for now. Just say I went on vacation." Emma reminded her, then picked up a box with a necklace from the desk and gave it to Ophelia. "Mom, this necklace is for you."
Ophelia took the necklace box and smiled. "I know. But what about your father? Should we tell him first?"
Emma thought about it. "Don't let Dad know yet. If he knows, Uncle might find out too."
Ophelia nodded with a satisfied smile. "Your father is too easily influenced by others. Better not let him know. Oh, and that woman Elizabeth around Timothy—should I have someone keep an eye on her?"
Ophelia was worried Elizabeth might get in Emma's way.
"No need," Emma said. She'd always been smart—doing certain things would only make Timothy suspicious. "Mom, don't worry about Elizabeth."
Ophelia trusted Emma's abilities.
Emma smiled slightly.
Her eyes were calm. Sometimes in this world, if you want something, you have to work hard to get it.
