Chapter 110 He Won't Admit It
Matthew asked, "Do you want to marry Timothy? Or do you just want the Robinson family to acknowledge the child?"
The last option had a slim chance of success, but the first one would be really difficult.
"I love him," Emma looked confused, "Matthew, what are you trying to say?"
Matthew had been around, seen all kinds of beautiful women.
Some women said they loved him too, but if he had no money, they probably wouldn't love a playboy like him.
Emma was the Sutter family's daughter, she wasn't short on money.
But if she wanted to get love from Timothy, it would actually be very hard.
Matthew didn't want to discourage her by saying this out loud.
He continued, "If you choose to quietly have the baby, this child will grow up without a father, and you'll raise him yourself. Our Sutter family can afford it anyway. I'll have my dad talk to your parents."
Matthew had calmed down now, "Or you can try to get the Robinson family to acknowledge the child, but Timothy probably won't marry you."
Trying to tie down Timothy with a baby - Emma was too naive.
Emma sat down on the sofa and spaced out for a while, then asked softly, "Matthew, will Timothy stay with Elizabeth forever? Do you think he'll acknowledge this child?"
"He won't acknowledge it." The more Emma spoke, the more desolate she felt.
Matthew rubbed his temples, "Leave it to me. You just focus on the pregnancy. We'll first try to get the Robinson family to acknowledge the child."
"Matthew, thank you." Emma's eyes showed both guilt and desperation.
Night fell.
Timothy held Elizabeth as they got into bed.
He said flatly, "Elizabeth, I want a goodnight kiss."
Elizabeth was speechless.
Usually Timothy would kiss her first, then say goodnight.
Today Timothy actually asked her first, wanting her to make the move.
Elizabeth thought Timothy's calm expression right now was too funny.
She pouted and kissed his forehead.
"Is that good enough? Goodnight."
Two childish people.
Timothy wasn't satisfied. Just pouting like that, they weren't elementary school kids. With a cold face, "No, you need to continue."
The handsome Timothy saying such things in bed was really something.
Elizabeth stared straight at him.
Then right under his gaze, she slowly closed her eyes, "Goodnight, going to sleep now."
Timothy looked down at that face with closed eyes, his thin lips curved slightly, and he reached out to hold her chin.
He stared at her, "Goodnight."
Timothy said goodnight in a husky voice.
When he got out of bed to change clothes, Elizabeth quietly opened her eyes. Timothy had his back to her as he changed.
The muscles on his back looked very powerful.
Elizabeth pulled the blanket up a bit to cover her view, and closed her eyes to sleep.
Matthew called Timothy that evening to invite him for drinks, in a private room at Carlton Hotel.
Timothy was changing now to go downstairs.
He waited until Elizabeth fell asleep before leaving.
Matthew looked teasingly at Timothy walking in, "It's really hard to get you out for a drink these days."
Matthew sighed.
Timothy sat down and lazily poured himself a drink. He was wearing short sleeves, rarely showing the tattoo on his arm.
"If Elizabeth wasn't already asleep, I wouldn't even want to come down for drinks. Just one drink."
Matthew laughed - now he only drinks one drink.
He picked up his glass to clink with Timothy's, raising an eyebrow, "Are you planning to marry Elizabeth?"
"Obviously," Timothy's answer was definite, "The engagement ring and dress are already being prepared."
Matthew saw Timothy looking so happy and sighed inwardly - Emma had no chance at all.
But he had to at least try.
He smiled and said, "Congratulations in advance. I went to see Emma today, she seems to have gained weight. That place of yours really takes good care of people."
Timothy drank his wine, leaning back on the sofa, "That's not my place, and I didn't hire the chef there either."
Matthew didn't want to continue this topic, so he said, "Honestly, I used to think I might have a chance to become family with you."
"You really dream big."
Timothy glanced sideways at Matthew, "Don't say things like that anymore. I don't want Elizabeth to get the wrong idea."
Matthew raised his glass to Timothy, "Let me finish this one first."
Timothy said one drink and meant one drink. After finishing, he was ready to leave.
Matthew almost laughed in frustration. He asked irritably, "Does Elizabeth actually control whether you drink?"
Timothy casually left him with, "If I smell like alcohol, I can't hold her while sleeping. You don't have a girlfriend, you wouldn't understand."
Matthew fell silent.
Matthew smiled helplessly. After Timothy left the room, he also left Carlton Hotel.
In the car, Matthew called Emma. As soon as Emma answered the phone.
He sighed and said, "Timothy is already preparing to get engaged to Elizabeth. Emma, I hope you think this through carefully."
"They're preparing to get engaged?" Emma bit her lip. She still didn't want to give up, and said slowly, "Matthew, you said to first get the Robinson family to acknowledge the child. I agree. What's your plan?"
Matthew said, "Timothy's father."
