Chapter 114 Live Broadcast
Christopher didn't refuse and they walked to a pavilion on the side.
He took a cigarette case out of his trouser pocket, shook out two cigarettes, handed one to Ryan, and lit one for himself. Ryan, who hadn't smoked in a long time, played with the cigarette in his hand, watching Christopher exhale pale white smoke, and said lightly, "Don't you feel crowded?"
Three people in love, it was too crowded.
Christopher's hand holding the cigarette paused, and he said sullenly, "I didn't do anything out of line."
Ryan sneered, "If I hadn't come tonight, were you planning to stay in her hospital room?"
Christopher squinted his eyes slightly, "I'm worried about her."
Ryan broke the cigarette in half and said to Christopher, "If your woman was always being thought of by another man, how would you feel?"
Christopher's lips moved, but he didn't speak. A heavy silence hung between them.
After a long time, Christopher said, "I have no ill intentions, I just want to help her become better so that your father can change his opinion of her sooner."
He didn't intend to take her for himself because he knew that Amelia's eyes and heart were all for Ryan in front of him.
Ryan raised his hand and patted his shoulder, meaningfully saying, "This is between her and me, you don't need to worry, but thank you anyway."
Christopher raised his hand to remove Ryan's hand from his shoulder, said nothing, and turned to leave.
Watching his dark silhouette, Ryan returned to the hospital room.
Amelia asked him, "What did you guys talk about? Why did it take so long to come back?"
Ryan raised his hand to unbutton his shirt cuffs, took off his wristwatch and tossed it onto the bedside table. He said casually, "Just chatted a bit."
Amelia responded lightly, said nothing, and quietly recuperated in the hospital while browsing her phone.
On the other side, Sophia was in the hospital with Jessa. She glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw Ryan's bodyguard dragging someone out, so she secretly followed to see what was happening.
She was shocked when she saw Eugene shouting that he was Amelia's father and Ryan's father-in-law.
At the same time, she came up with a plan.
First, she contacted the media, then had someone rescue Eugene when Ryan's bodyguard wasn't paying attention.
After Eugene was rescued, Sophia approached with a smile and said softly, "Do you want to get back at Amelia?"
"Yes!" Eugene nodded without thinking.
Sophia leaned in and whispered a few words with Eugene.
Eugene's eyes lit up.
The media arrived quickly, and Eugene's compelling portrayal soon dominated the trending topics with live broadcasts.
Amelia was lying in bed watching videos when she accidentally came across a video of Eugene with a swollen face. He was indignantly saying to the media, "I am Amelia's biological father, Eugene! Today, I am here to expose Amelia's true face..."
Amelia's expression changed, her hand trembled and her phone fell to the ground.
Ryan frowned, picked up Amelia's phone, and saw Eugene righteously telling the host, "Amelia is the creator of Oak Tree, with appreciation worth billions of dollars, but she is a hypocrite! So cold-blooded that she won't even support her own father! I am destitute and asked her for help, but she would rather have her husband beat me up than help me!"
Ryan's brows furrowed, and he took out his phone to call the bodyguard, ensuring that Eugene was taken to the police station to face punishment.
Amelia never expected Eugene to be so, shameless and go to the Pinecrest City media's live broadcast to complain.
Ryan patted her hand and said, "Don't worry, I 'll handle it."
Amelia smiled bitterly and shook her head at him, saying softly, "I'm fine."
Ryan then called Charles and instructed, "Find out who called the Pinecrest City media!"
Charles agreed and immediately went to investigate the person behind this.
Ryan kept an eye on the live broadcast until Eugene disappeared from the media's camera.
Soon, Charles sent a text message: [It seems Ms. Brown called the media, but the media was interviewing Mr. Martin a moment ago.]
His veins bulged in anger. He sent a message to Sophia: [Come to the hospital garden when you have time.]
Sophia quickly replied: [Ryan, I'm at the hospital, taking care of my mom! See you in the afternoon.]
In the afternoon, Ryan arrived at the hospital garden early.
Sophia saw him from a distance, couldn't help but run over, and called out with a smile, "Ryan, how come you have time to see me today?"
Ryan squinted slightly, stared at her for a few seconds, and asked, "Did you arrange for Eugene to be on the media's live broadcast?"
Sophia looked at Ryan in front of her, who was handsome and tall. Her eyes dodged for a moment and she denied knowing him. Ryan gave her a cold look, "Are you sure it wasn't you?"
"It wasn't me, I've never heard of this person!" Sophia quickly denied it.
"If you don't know him, don't blame me for being rude!" Ryan warned, then turned and left.
Sophia stepped forward to grab him.
Ryan mercilessly shook her off, and after he left, Sophia angrily kicked a nearby potted plant.
After leaving the garden, Ryan went straight downstairs, got into the car, and went to the Martin Group to wait for Alexander.
Five minutes later, Alexander came out of the Martin Group, got into the car, and saw Ryan with a cold expression. He paused and asked, "What's up?"
Ryan lifted his eyelids, "Was it you?"
"What?" Alexander was puzzled.
"The Pinecrest City media live broadcast, suddenly featuring Eugene, was that you're doing?" Ryan stated without emotion.
Alexander sneered, "Do you think I'm that despicable? Why would I target a little girl?"
"Haven't you done enough?" Ryan sneered.
Alexander's face darkened and retorted, "I didn't arrange the media!"
"It better not be you." Ryan's tone was harsh.
He was uneasy and went back to the hospital to check on Amelia. Hecomfortingly patted her shoulder and asked, "Are you okay?"
Amelia smiled bravely, "I don't care, it can't hurt me."
Ryan continued, "I will arrange for someone to clarify this matter. Eugene was digging up antiques, which is illegal. He might go to jail. Don't go online for now, just focus on recovering."
Amelia reached out and hugged his waist, burying her head in his chest. She said softly, "Thank you."
Ryan laughed, "I actually hope you trouble me every day."
"Don't need, I'm afraid you'll get annoyed with me then." Amelia laughed lightly.
Seeing that Amelia was in good spirits, Ryan went out to handle these trivial matters.
Amelia then called Emily, "Mom, did you see the Pinecrest City media live broadcast? Eugene accused me of being selfish and cold-blooded, not supporting him, not helping him."
