Draven's Denial

Draven's Denial
"Draven?"

"That's not possible!" He snapped angrily at her.

Valerie jumped back, already knowing that this was going to be a disaster, "Draven, it is—"

"You've been with someone else." He spat, "ADMIT IT!"

Valerie couldn't believe what she was hearing. She couldn't believe that he was accusing her of something like that.

"Draven, I—"

"You're a liar!" Draven screamed at her, standing up, "all you do is lie to me. Cheating isn't very far from your favorable things to do."

Valerie's eyes hardened with anger. "I loved you with all my heart Draven. And this child, is yours. Whether you believe it or not. I did not sleep wuth someone else. And I won't stand here, listening to your talk ill of my character!" She snapped angrily at him, her palm going to rest on her belly in an instant, "if you do not want anything to do with me or my child, then just say so! But stop trying to make me hate you. Because some day, it might actually work."

Something like hurt flashed in Draven's eyes before his glare hardened. "You're right, Valerie." He spat, "I don't want anything to do with you or whoever's child it is, festering in your womb! You both can die, for all I care!"

Valerie stumbled back a step, almost as if something had hit her physically as tears dropped down her eyes when she finally allowed his words to register into her mind.

Draven's eyes widened when he too seemed to realize what he had said in his anger.

But it was too late by then.

Valerie shook her head and ran away sobbing, all the while he tried to get her to stop.

She continued to run before she reached the throne room and she was about to call for Valerio when her foot slipped.

But gladly for her, Valerio was standing there, talking to some guards, and he caught her instantly and cupped her face.

"What's wrong, Lia?" He asked worriedly as he brought her back to a standing position and tried to calm her down as she sobbed uncontrollably.

However, before she could respond to that, a loud explosion occured in the palace and their eyes widened when they saw the ceiling of the throne room breaking from above them.
