Chapter 19 Chapter 19: Calling Her Brother (R18)
Selena felt dizzy. Her face flushed red like a boiled shrimp, tears streaming uncontrollably down her cheeks. Her chest felt heavy, and breathing became increasingly difficult. She was suffocating.
Her hands dug into Balthazar’s thighs, and just when she was about to lose consciousness, he pushed her to the floor.
"Cough cough cough…"
Selena clutched her chest, coughing violently. Saliva mixed with bodily fluids dripped from her mouth, splattering on the tiled floor.
"Get your ass up!"
Balthazar was too drunk. All he could feel was the fury of thinking he had almost been fooled by her games. The alcohol had stripped away all his restraint.
He grabbed Selena by the ankle, dragging her toward the sofa, then yanked her hair, pulling her up. He pushed her facedown over the sofa, not bothering to pull down her underwear before forcing his manhood inside her.
"Ah… sob…"
Without any lubrication, and with him entering so quickly, her flesh stretched painfully. The only thing she could do was try to relax, hoping to ease the pressure.
She didn’t understand why he had suddenly changed his attitude. Earlier in the day, he had happily called to ask her to prepare dinner. But now, he was treating her so cruelly. What had she done wrong?
She didn’t know how long she endured, but finally, Balthazar released. He leaned back, letting out a satisfied groan, then pulled out of her and collapsed onto the sofa, immediately falling asleep.
Selena, sitting on the floor, hugged her shoulders, trembling uncontrollably. Tears flowed down her cheeks like a river. She slowly dragged herself to the bathroom to clean up, take some medicine, and… tidy up the untouched dinner on the table.
The next morning.
Balthazar slowly opened his eyes, frowning. He realized he had slept on the sofa, his shirt still on, but his pants were pulled down to his knees.
Seeing a faint trace of reddish fluid on himself, he vaguely recalled last night’s events.
He remembered coming home to find Selena dozing off at the dining table. His mind had been in turmoil, and then...
He had been violent with her!
Balthazar clutched his head as images of him forcing himself on her replayed in his mind. He couldn’t understand why he had acted that way—he wasn’t the kind of man who would hurt a woman.
"Damn it! It’s all because of the alcohol!"
Riiiiing... riiiiing...
His phone rang, and when he looked at the screen, he saw it was his sister calling.
"Hello, are you on your way to pick me and mom up yet?"
Weary, Balthazar rubbed his forehead and replied: "I’ll be there soon."
He hung up, stood, and headed to his room to shower and change. As he opened his wardrobe, the subtle scent of essential oils lingered, and his thoughts drifted to Selena.
He still couldn’t figure out what fragrance she liked so much.
After hastily picking an outfit, he walked out. Passing by Selena’s room and noticing the door still closed, he frowned.
"Why is she sleeping in today? Yesterday, she was up even earlier than me."
After pondering for a moment, Balthazar decided not to concern himself with her. He left the house, unaware that Selena lay in bed, her eyes shut tight.
At that moment, she was drenched in sweat, her face and neck flushed red, and yet, her body shivered uncontrollably.
"So cold..."
Selena pulled the blanket tightly over herself. Despite sweating profusely, all she felt was an overwhelming coldness. She knew something was wrong; if this continued, she wouldn’t make it.
She forced her eyes open and reached for her phone to make a call.
Wyatt was sitting in class when his phone vibrated. Sneaking a glance at the screen, he saw Selena’s name and immediately lowered his head to answer.
"Wyatt... help me..."
As soon as he picked up, Selena’s weak and hoarse voice came through. Without thinking about the fact that he was in the middle of class, Wyatt shot up from his seat and asked: "What’s wrong? Where are you right now?"
"I’m at..."
After hearing Selena’s location, Wyatt bolted out of the classroom and headed straight for Balthazar’s villa.
Without a key, he scaled the wall to get inside. Instantly, the security alarm blared, and Balthazar, who was visiting a grave with his mother and sister, received the alert.
"A burglar?"
He quickly opened the camera feed to check, genuinely worried. Selena was alone at home—what if the intruder hurt her?
But when he saw the face of the person who had broken in, his concern turned to anger.
"Dammit! She dared to call her boy toy while I’m away?"
Last time, Selena claimed the young man was her brother, but he didn’t believe it. Though the kid was decent-looking, he bore no resemblance to her. He didn’t even believe they were cousins.
Now everything made sense. He had been worried for nothing, thinking she might be in danger. As it turned out, she couldn’t go a day without a man. After he had practically ravaged her last night, here she was, calling a young stud the next morning.
He must have been insane to even think she was in trouble!
"Big brother, what’s wrong with you?"
Sophia, having just slipped away from their mother at the cemetery, noticed her brother pacing back and forth, pulling at his hair, muttering curses under his breath like a madman.
Balthazar took a deep breath and said: "I’ll call a driver to pick up you and mom later. I’ve got something I need to handle right away."
With that, he spun around, jumped into his car, and sped off down the main road. Sophia watched him leave, shaking her head in exasperation.
"My brother’s going through menopause again."
Meanwhile, upon entering the house, Wyatt found Selena burning up with a fever. He immediately applied a hot compress to lower her temperature, then made her some thin porridge and gave her fever medicine.
After taking the medicine, Selena began to feel better, though her whole body still ached, especially her heavy head that made it impossible to sleep.
"Sis, should I take you to the hospital?"
Selena shook her head and replied: "No need, I’ll be fine after resting for a bit."
She reached out to stroke Wyatt’s head, and he bent down to let her.
"You’re supposed to be in class right now, aren’t you? I’m so out of it... I shouldn’t have called you."
