Chapter 29

“Everything?” She asked in a daze as she couldn’t grasp the whole thing.

“Hmm hmm.” Luther hummed in response.

“Do you have any idea about what you’re saying? Anything she can lay her hands on?” Ava asked in disbelief.

“Yeah. Got any problem with that?” Luther asked nonchalantly.

“That’s freaking too much.” She whisper-yelled at him. She was about to say more when she was interrupted by the attendant coming back.

“Here are some very nice outfits, sir.” She said, interrupting their conversation. Luther pushed Ava lightly towards the attendant.

“Take her to the dressing room and have her try on all those outfits. Again, Ava’s eyes widened so much you’d think it would fall off from her eyes.

“What the heck is going on?” She turned to look at Luther as she mouthed the words to him but he ignored her and urged the attendant to take her in.

After trying out several outfits, Ava felt like it wasn’t her body that was moving anymore. She felt numb all over and there are still a lot more to try on.

She came out of the dressing room with a pair of pants and a pinned down shirt. She appeared in front of Luther and he shook his head in disapproval.

But Ava couldn’t take it anymore. “I’m tired.” She said firmly. “But ma’am, you still have a lot to try on.” The attendant said.

“I’m not going back in there.” Ava said firmly. The attendant looked at her helplessly. She had no idea what to do and the woman in front had refused to go back blatantly.

“Leave her be.” Luther told the attendant. “You can just pack everything and have it delivered here.” Luther said, passing his address to the attendant.

She felt herself heave a sigh of relief as she took the address from him. After they were done, Ava was super happy to go back home. She wanted nothing more than to sleep on the soft bed.

Soon, they were back in the car. “Thank you for getting me those things. I’ll be sure to pay you back when I can.” Ava said.

Luther only hummed in response. “But then, there was no single person in that very big and luxurious mall. Why is that?” Ava finally asked the question she has been dying to ask.

Luther looked at her briefly before. “Why are you curious?” He asked.

“It’s usually not something that happens you know. Not even a single person in sight.” Ava said, shrugging her shoulders.

“And why do you aak me?” Luther retorted.

“I don’t know either. Just thought you might know something.” She responded to which Luther didn’t say more.

Unbeknown to Luther, Lia had been invited for an interview. To feature in a podcast. Her recent picture with Luther had got tongues wailing a lot on the internet.

People were indeed curious about the type of person Lutber got involved with. So Lia was invited to a podcast.

Beautifully dressed, she sat for the interview ever ready. “Hello guys, my name is Nana and i’m here with?” She turned to Lia and asked.

“Lia scott please.” She said

“Welcome to our podcast ma’am. We are happy to hear from you today. I didn’t even think you'd show up for our interview. So we are so.honored to host you ma.” Nana went on ranting for a while while Lia just listened and shook her head in response.

“So not to waste our time, we all know the reason we are here right now. The public are curious. Trust me, I am extremely curious, myself.”

“It’s the billionaire bachelor we are talking about right?!.” Nana exclaimed and continued, “how come?” She asked.

“How did the whole thing happen? How you guys met, you know what I mean?”. Nana added.

Because it was a livestream, they quickly amassed a lot of people watching the live podcast.

As Lia and Nana continued the livestream podcast, it quickly turned to a hot topic on social media. Again, Luther was beginning to trend again alongside Lia.

After Lia was done with her interview, she was really satisfied with herself. “There’s no way Luther is going to escape all these anymore.” she muttered happily while entering her car to go back home.

Not long after she got inside the car, one of her friends called her. “Girlllllll.” She half screamed into the phone, making Lia distance the phone away from her ears.

“You’re not trying to make me go deaf now are you?” Lia snapped jokingly.

“You fucking eat and left no cumbs, girl. Look how smooth you were talking about everything on the live podcast.”

“This time, I'm sure Luther will be hooked forever.” She said happily.

“Forever baby. Definitely forever.” Lia saif happily.

Luther and Ava were still on their way home, when Peter quickly called him on the phone.

“What is it, man?” Luther asked immediately he picked up the phone.

“S-sir, have you seen what’s going on online?” Peter asked with a shaky voice.

“See what?” Luther asked, confused.

“You’re trending badly once again.” He said.

“Really?” He asked, smiling.

“Where?” He asked again. “You know what, just send me everything you can get” he said and ended the call.

“These days, I think my life has gotten a lot more interesting I think.” Luther said to himself, smiling.
