Chapter 54

“I am still furious that you would do such a thing, but, thank you,” Emily said.

“You never have to thank me.”

“Just so you know, if you do not gain your godhood back, I will throw myself from the heavens and descend to hell. I will not become a demon, I will become a fucking calamity. You will never be able to get rid of me. Do I make myself clear?”

“It isn’t like I could get rid of you now even if I wanted to. But are you sure about giving up your godhood if it comes down to it?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“The first reason is, heaven is very boring. Second reason is, 90% of the Gods are stuck-up, manipulative pricks who use humanity like toys. Yes, I screwed up when I fucked with my soulmates’ soul, but that was the one and only thing that I did. Everyone else just manipulates the humans like puppets and sends them a few diseases, and guides them to their temples and churches so they will pray for healing from the God that gave them the damn disease in the first damn place. It is like me robbing you, then you offer me a reward to help you look for the one who robbed you. I would then collect the reward after ‘discovering’ your belongings. By doing this I have gained your money and your trust at the same time. Honestly the more I look back, the more I do not want to be associated with the likes of them. I would not mind denouncing my Godhood and becoming a calamity. We were born Gods, we never had a choice in our livelihood. Always told we could create chaos for humans, but unless they prayed for a specific type of help, then we were not allowed to interfere with the solution. Seriously what type of shit is that? At least demons have sensible rules, such as, one cannot kill a human for petty reasons.” She explained, “I am sorry, I am rambling.”

“No, you are fine, and completely right.”

“I guess the more I lived with humans and was raised as a human, has given me a different perspective on things. But to answer your question, no, I would not mind giving up my godhood.”

“I gathered that.”

“Why are demons considered the evil ones but the Gods are not?”

“The bible and every religion.”

“Do you not find it funny how in all 66 books of the bible, we never get to hear Satan’s side of the story?”

“Even if he wrote his own book today, people probably would not believe him. Humans have been brainwashed by the Gods for centuries.”

“What about….” Emily was interrupted by the sound of someone banging on the door.

KNOCK KNOCK

“Are you expecting someone?” Saggun asked

“No, and the twins have keys or could just teleport in. So it definitely aint one of them.

KNOCK KNOCK

“Who the hell is banging on the door like the fucking police?” Tagronoth asked, walking into the room.

KNOCK KNOCK

“We don’t know yet,” Saggun answered.

Emily swung open the door to find Tiffany. Her hair was knotted and sticking out, with eye bags looking like she had not slept in a week.

“Remove this curse you bitch!!” She yelled at Emily, slapping her.

Tagronoth grabbed Emily’s arm pulling her to his chest protecting her from further harm.

Saggun’s eyes flashed red with anger. “I gave you a chance to apologize for your comments last time. However, you touched her, someone is worth more than 1000 of you,” He said pointing at Emily, “You have royally fucked up.”

He growled and punched Tiffany in the face.

“Emily, are you ok? Let’s get you some ice.” Tagronoth brought her to the kitchen. “Oh Gods above, Sal and Manny are going to go on a murder spree, I just hope we will not become victims in their anger.”

“I will not let them.” She winced as he placed the ice against her cheek.

“We might need a new whipping bench.” Saggun said walking in the kitchen.

“Not that we can’t afford it but why?” Tagronth asked.

“I tied the bitch to it.”

“Why would you do that?” Emily asked.

“When Sal and Manny come home and see you with a swollen cheek, they will want to go on a murder spree like Tagronoth said. To also make sure we do not become victims of their anger, I have a present all tied up for them in the living room.”

“They are going to be pissed either way.”

“You are right about that.” Sal agreed.

“We are.” Manny said.

“Saggun, Tagronoth, what the FUCK happened while we were gone?” Sal asked, raising his voice.

“It is not their fault.” Emily said, as Manny touched her face, accessing the injury. “Someone was banging on the door, and I answered before either one of them could. When I did, that harpy slapped me. They immediately pulled me out of her reach and Saggun knocked her out.”
