Chapter 244
Natalie's POV
I jump again as another alarm sounds, and Theo growls low and pulls out his cellphone. He texts extremely fast, and I envy that he got to have a cellphone when I got nothing but darkness.
"We are going to a panic room, angel," he says after we dress.
"Theo," I feel panic set in.
"Easy, angel, it is just a precaution to make sure you're safe. Jack put every female in a panic room. We are going into one inside this hospital room." He goes to the wall, and it looks like an ordinary wall except he touches a part, and a code box moves out, and he puts a code in. The wall slides open, and a beautiful room is right there. I gasp in amazement as he lifts me up and takes me in. After I'm on the bed, he hurries to grab our belongings, and the wall slides shut behind him.
"This is amazing, Theo." I look around. "I have never seen such craftsmanship. An actual apartment inside the hospital room is insane." I look at everything and open doors. At the last door a man stands inside, and I scream as I fall back on my ass.
I scoot away in fear, getting flashes of Warren and his cruelty.
"James!" Theo yells, "You just scared my mate, brother. Let us know next time you're coming. You okay, angel?" Tears fill my eyes as my breathing goes too fast, and my chest hurts. I feel Theo gather me close and move me to his lap. He strokes my hair and back.
"Fuck, I'm sorry, man. Natalie, I'm sorry, darling; I was told to come help watch over you. I never meant to scare you this bad," he says as he knelt beside Theo and looked scared for me. I put my face in Theo's chest. I eventually calm down, but I am still shaking. Both sigh.
"Angel, how about I put you in our bed?" Theo asks, kissing my head. He rubs my back, and I sniffle.
"Fuck, I'm sorry, darling, I am. I never meant to scare you to tears," I hear him move and step as he walks away. Theo kisses my head, and I hold onto him.
"I'm okay. I just got startled. Did I make him mad?" I ask. I didn't want to offend anyone, especially in this pack. Theo purrs, and I relax enough to ease back and search for James, who has his back to us. He is talking on his phone.
"This is a bad idea, Jack," he says softly. "I scared her to death almost. Maybe send another wolf here to help. I don't want to scare her more," he pauses as I guess Jack talks on the phone to him.
"James," Theo says, and I watch James wave him off as he listens to Jack talk.
"I understand, Jack." He fists his hair. What if I stand outside the door in the hallway?" He looks at the doorway, and I feel bad. "I'm sorry, Theo," I whisper.
"No angel, don't be. It was a mistake. I will talk to him." He places me on the couch and goes to James, who is just as big as Theo; both together look intimidating.
"Bro, stop," Theo says, patting his shoulder. She is still jumpy when I scare her by accident. Stay inside here with us. "She isn't afraid of you, just a jumpy little thing," I sigh.
"I'm sorry, James. I feel awful. I am sorry I can't help how jumpy I am, but I can work on it. Don't leave." I feel so bad I start to tear up. He turns, and we make eye contact, and my eyes go huge. I feel drawn to him the way I feel to Theo.
"Fuck me," he fists his hair again and looks at Theo.
"Are you serious?" Theo asks, sounding thrilled.
"What is happening?" I ask, looking between them.
"Angel, I look at Theo, and he comes to sit with me; we think James is your mate too. He feels a pull after looking into your eyes. I tense up, and fear fills me. I start to shake, and Theo gathers me close.
"I...I..." I'm speechless. I also am very scared; I don't want two men fucking me again. It was awful at the warehouse. It hurt, and neither slowed down nor checked on me. Both just took what they wanted.
"Angel, he isn't violent or mean, I promise. Plus, we won't hurt you. Your mate or mates will take the utmost care of you and your body. "I shudder as James sits on the other side and touches my hand. Tingles race up my arm, and I jump. He curses as he pulls away.
"I'm gonna go talk to Jack," James says, leaving, and I start crying. I have two mates. I'm scared.
"Angel, talk to me, please," Theo begs. I just hug him and continue crying. This is a huge step, and I'm terrified. I gave in to Theo and two men at once. I don't know if I can do that.
"I'm scared," I cry pathetically. "Two men took me at the warehouse, and it hurt. I begged them to stop but was hit for begging. "I'm just scared, Theo," I sob. I don't hear James come back or see the devastation on his face as I sob to Theo about everything. Theo just holds me as I cry.
Theo's POV
I fucking hate everyone that hurt our mate, and I wish I could rage out again. Looking at the doorway, I see James standing there looking ready to cry. He sighs sadly and steps out, closing the door. He doesn't come back, and I get worried.
"Shh, Angel, just sleep, my love," I purr as she drifts off. Once she is fully asleep, I take her to our bedroom and go look for James. He is standing there watching the monitors as chaos goes on all around Savage. My dad is still not back, but since finding out Natalie's parents are here, he is heading back. Once we hear the pipes on their bikes, I will be more relaxed.
"Bro, go talk to her," I say softly, but he nods no.
"I already scared her, Theo. I don't want to make it worse. She doesn't need to stress. She needs to heal. I will step out and help defend the club." He watches Jack fight, and I watch him. He looks sad and ready to run.
"James, just stay here. We can ease her into this man," he sighs heavily at my words. Meeting your mate should be fun, exciting, and full of sex all over the place, but poor Natalie is afraid to do anything. She didn't have the best experiences with men, so everything has to be slow and at her pace.
"I already talked to Jack; he said I can come help when your dad gets back. They are thirty minutes out." He glances at me briefly, and my gut sinks. I head to check on Natalie, who is awake and looking at me sadly.
"I'm sorry I hurt him, Theo," she says, looking out of the room. I hear James talking, and I know he is getting ready to leave soon. "You are fine. We will figure all this out, "I say even though I'm not sure we can. James is hurt, and even I can feel it.
