Chapter 204
Nick's POV
I join the fight after leaving Lena, and I kill many as Shelly stands, holding her belly and yelling out orders. This bitch has the guts to call for Patrick.
"You know you want us!" she yells to him.
"That baby isn't mine, Shelly, so stop pushing it. You will die!" He yells back. She scoffs.
"The pup Lena carries isn't yours either, so who cares. I love you, Patrick. "I need you," she starts crying, which I know is fake.
"You're such a fake bitch." I punch a rogue, sending him flying. He almost plows into her, which causes her to shriek loudly in disbelief.
"How dare you? I'm pregnant!" She yells.
"Then fucking leave, Savage bitch, because this ends with you dying," I say calmly. She looks from Patrick to me, and I see hate in her eyes.
"Valerie deserves better as well. You males think having a fuck buddy is fine, but once your bitch of a mate comes, we get forgotten and tossed aside." I roll my eyes.
"We never promised you whores shit. You knew the end game and still wanted our cocks. We told you and her at the beginning that once our mates come, we choose them. Now you're having hissy fits and bringing rogues here. For what, Shelly? What are these rogues doing here? "Because we aren't leaving our mate for you two," she screams and throws a rock at me. I catch it and laugh as I launch it back; it bounces off her shoulder, and she screams loudly. She holds her shoulder, looking at me in disbelief.
"I can't believe you did that." She looks shocked as she sobs at me.
"You had a chance to run, but now you will die with these vermin." She looks terrified as the rogues start to lose numbers. Shelly is crying as she backs up. Patrick rolls his eyes, and we continue fighting them all back.
Lena's POV
I yawn as I wake up to Theo and James. Both look relieved. I'm okay. My ribs twinge as I try to sit up. Theo helps me, and I whimper.
"I would never hurt you in any way; please don't fear us, Lena." I look at him and see worry for me in his eyes. He eases me to lean on pillows, and I rub my eyes.
"I'm sorry," I sigh sadly. "I didn't have good experiences with men. Are my mates okay?" Both look at each other.
"Yes, both are awesome fighters, Lena," they say.
"Have they come back yet?" I look around with worry. I need them to hold me.
"Not yet, but we are winning and pushing them back. Dad said to tell you to rest. He expects you to eat for the pup and your health." I look at him wide-eyed. Tyler is worried about me, a girl who caused some uproar in our first meet-up. I was smitten with Jack but got over it quickly when I tasted freedom from the pallets and warehouse. I whimper as pain hits my ribs, and Theo calls the doc to see if I can have pain meds.
"Can I get you a drink, Lena?" James asks softly.
"My soda is in the fridge, please, and also help yourself." He hurries off. I sigh sadly as both come back—James with soda and Theo with pills. I look at them sadly.
"This will help Lena." Theo hands them over and helps me sit up more. He is gentle and kind, bringing tears to my eyes. I sniffle as both watch me.
"I'm sorry you're having to do this." I look down in shame. Both just wave it off before I'm handed a plate of food. Theo sits close and hands me stuff while James turns on the television. We settle on a comedy, and I eat till my belly protests, and I hand it to Theo.
"You can't eat more?" he asked, looking worried.
"I'm sorry I can't. My belly hurts now. I get full quickly." Both nod, and I shiver. Theo gently eases me back to take pressure off my ribs, and I thank him. James dims the lights, and I yawn, feeling the effects of the pain pills. I start to drift off.
