CHAPTER 43
"Quite understand, Colt, have my warriors arrived yet?"
"Yes, they are being shown to the main hall so they can get something to eat and drink. Any luck with the mist gate?"
"No, I talked to Sasha she does not know how to open it. Zoya keeps neglecting to show her how. When she left me this morning, she asked me to tell her when the warriors arrived. I don't know what she is up to." Sebastian told me.
"Excuse me. When she
you this morning? What is going on there?"
"Colt, I have been teaching her meditation in the morning to help her learn to keep calm in situations."
"Oh, sorry. I'm on edge here, not being able to reach the children."
"I understand, when your done your lunch, can you have my men ready to move as soon as the mist opens?"
"They will be ready as will me and my warriors. I hopefully see you soon." I hung up and took my cold food to the kitchen. It was pointless to try and eat now. I linked Robert.
"Robert, I want fifty of our top worriers ready to go with the Lycan Kings worriers. You are to stay here and call in our allies if I don't come back."
"Colt, I will be in the office in five minutes. You can tell me what is going on."
The cook passed me a plate with a roast beef sandwich on it and a coffee. I thanked her and went to my office. I just finished eating when Robert came in with Lucas and Morgan. Now I knew what Sasha had done she called back Lucas. Smart girl.
"Alpha Colt, we need to get to the castle as fast as possible before something happens." Lucas said frantic.
"I know, Lucas. I will assume Sasha called you?"
"Yes, Alpha. She has barricaded herself in the nursery with the pups and the nannies and broken all the cameras so no one can see in. There is also a spell on the door to the nursery she said it will kill anyone who touches it."
"Where is Quin and Sebastian?" They were not with her. She did not know where they were. She tried to link Quin and got nothing. Neither of them are answering their phones.
"I talked to Sebastian less than an hour ago."
"I don't know what to tell you, Alpha. I just got off the phone, Sasha, less than ten minutes ago."
"Do you have Zoya's number, Lucas?" I asked.
"Call her. Tell her you are back a day early to surprise Sasha and Quin. Be excited to be going back to the castle and seeing the pups."
QUIN'S POV
What the hell, who hit me over the head? My eyes started to focus. I was in my own Dungeon. How the hell? I stood up and walked over to the cell door. I tried to open it, but it was locked. I tried to link Sasha and got nothing. Guard, I yelled, open this door.
The guard came over and looked at me, then just walked away.
"What is the meaning of this I yelled but got no answer.
"Don't yell." I heard Sebastian say. I turned around and saw him just getting up he had a large cut on his head.
"Do you have any idea what is going on, Sebastian?"
"I have a pretty good idea Barton is behind this." He told me.
"What are you talking about? He has done nothing but help since he came here with Zoya." I said.
"The Zoya he has hidden for forty years and has been feeding her drugs she does not need to control her?" Sebastian said angrily.
"I was just getting off the phone with your father when I got hit on the head. Fuck who ever hit me must have heard my conversation; can you reach Sasha?"
"No, I have tried." I told him.
"Quin listen to me ........." He stopped talking someone was coming.
"The guard told me you were awake. Please don't let me interrupt you. Continue your conversation, please."
"You will not get away with this Barton!" Sebastian said.
"Oh, but I already have. There is no way for anyone to get here, Sasha has locked herself in the nursery with the pups and nannies. Nella is locked in her room. Zoya is having a well needed nap. The servant have been told to stay in their rooms. I'm just waiting for my men then I will take care of what should have been left dead. Then none of on the council will need to worry anymore about you snooping into our business. David and the Rogue King did come up with a wonderful plan. Too bad the Rogue King will not get his prize it is too risky keeping her alive."
"You're a coward. Let us out of here and fight us like the wolves we are." I demand.
"Nah, you both need not worry it will look like you both died heroically." I could feel something growing with my anger. I pushed it down.
"I will return, gentlemen. I do enjoy sharing with you." He turned and walked away. I waited until we heard a door close, and then I stood in front of Sebastian and showed him my hands. My markings were glowing, my hands shaking.
"Calm yourself Quin," Sebastian told me, but I could not control it.
"I can't, the mist began to wrap around my body gold swirls traveling with it like I was being wrapped with a fine golden ribbon suddenly I was no longer in the dungeon but in the middle of the training grounds of my father pack. I ran towards the pack house as I turned the corner there stood over 100 worries waiting for something with my father, Lucas and Morgan. It was Lucas who saw me first.
"Quin? How did you get here? What is happening?" Lucas asked, running to me.
I grabbed his arm, holding on for dear life, I was not able to catch my breath. I collapsed into Lucas arms. The last I remember was Lucas calling my name over and over.
ROLLIN'S POV
I slept late from drinking too much. I showered, dressed, and went to find Quin. I checked the sitting room. I found it strange no one was there. I heard yelling from guards saying the kings were in the dungeon lock up the staff. They were headed my way. I hid between the open door and the wall so as not to be seen. I listened to the guards as they looked into the room I was in.
"Did we get everyone?" One asked.
"Yes, the Queen has locked herself in the nursery as lord Barton figured she would with the two nannies. The kings were subdued and thrown into the Dungeon. Beta and his new wife are still away. That is everyone. Let's go report and grab some beers. Barton is waiting for a phone call before we blow the nursery and split." I held my breath.
