Chapter 101 : Creating news 2
Lena POV

Good.

I leaned back. Crossed my legs. Let the silence bleed them for three seconds.

Then I smiled. Not nice.

“Officers,” I say, “I assume you’ve done your due diligence. So you also have the full video. Not the 90-second clip some intern leaked to the press.”

The recording cop shifted. “We have 4 minutes of—”

“Wrong,” I said. I pulled my phone from my coat. I had Mira a secretary of mine send it over the second Aaron texted 911. “You have 4 minutes. I have 4 hours.”

I tapped the screen. Tossed it spinning across the table. It landed in front of Badged Cop.

On it: Adae. Same warehouse. Same night. Timestamped.

Adae, unlocking the doors at 18:00. Omegas filing in — scared, bruised, _alive_.

Adae, handing out blankets. Medical kits. Burning the collars from a trafficking ring into a metal drum.

Adae, at 22:13, throwing the breaker when gunfire starts _outside_. Not inside.

Adae, dragging two bleeding omegas behind cover while his own security returns fire at masked rogues in unmarked gear.

The “party” was a sanctuary extraction.

The “onslaught” started when someone hit the building after Adae got them inside.

Badged Cop went pale. “This wasn’t in evidence—”

“Because your evidence is from the rogues’ camera,” I said in a subtle “The one they planted. The one that started recording at 22:15, two minutes after the attack began. Funny, that.”

I stood. Ashar stood with me. The whole room followed.

“Adae walker didn’t host a slaughter,” I defended brawling at them.

“He interrupted one. He saved 11 omegas last night. The 3 who died? They were dead before he got them through the door. Coroners’ report will show plasma burns. Rogue tech. Not wolf claws.”

I tapped the phone. “This is time-stamped, cloud-backed, and already with the Elder Council. And with every news outlet in a 500-mile radius. Scheduled to drop in…,” I checked my watch, “four minutes.”

Recorder Cop’s pen snapped.

“You have two choices,” I told them, my voice became gentle now.

The kind of gentle that comes before a throat gets torn out. “One. You arrest the Alpha who bled for your citizens, and I let the press crucify you for tampering with evidence. Two. You thank him for his service, close the case, and go find the actual monsters who own those plasma rifles.”

I picked up Adae’s cold coffee. Take a sip. Hold his eyes. “Your call, officers.”

Silence.

Then Badged Cop stood. Holsters his pen. “delta adae” he whispered through a tight throat. “The department… appreciates your cooperation in this matter. We’ll be in touch if we need further… clarification.”

He nodded to me. Not quite a bow. Close enough.

They were out the door in ten seconds.

The second it shuts, Adae exhales like he’s been holding it for a year. “How the hell—”

“Your security lead is mated to my Beta,” I said. “She’s had the full feed since midnight. I’ve been sitting on it in case you boys did something stupid.”

Ashar’s hand was back on my spine. His mouth was at my ear. “You just declared war on the Council, little Luna.”

I turned my head. Our noses brush.ef “No,” I whispered. “I just told them who’s running the war.”

The rest seemed impressed. I'd come up with a play, to have adae save some omegas, duplicating the time and date.

Adain kicked the chair out. “Drinks?”

Aaron finally breathes. “God, yes.”

Ace wss already pouring.

And Adae? Adae looks at me like he had never seen me before. Like the last kiss wasn’t the thing that locked me.

Case closed. But now, it was the public...will they let it die? That's when Adam's kiss comes in.

Rather than then focusing on the onslaughter and the sudden closure of the case, they'd focus on my affair.

I'd returned to my room with a bright smile, giggling and thinking of just him.

Adam.

Athena was beefing with him like she hadn't have her tongue all over her face, like he hadn't had his hands all over her to have me jealous.

I didn't even know it was dawn already when the door barges open.

Spurring my eyes open from having a fantasy about Adam, I'd met 5 pairs of eyes glaring at me.

Cool! What a horrible way of waking me up this morning. I pushed my blanket off, breathing hard.

"What?" I snapped recognizing adnar's beautiful eyes.

"Alpha caught in an affair with a biker"

I scoffed as though not touched by that.

"Yeah we needed that" I whispered yawning but then adain grabbed my hair roughly.

"Who is he?"

What the fuck. His eyes were fire on my skin and I moaned rather than protest.

"Is it Adam?" Aaron questioned his eyes furrowed at me as though he was mad.

I love seeing them this angry but why? It's my fucking body. They've ruined it and so I can have anyone else other them.

"And if it's him?" I teased and adain's grip tightened so hard I wasn't breathing.

"We don't share our woman!" Ace screeches grabbing my jaw, his eyes searched mine.

Fear gripped me.

"I'm killing him!" Adae roared kicking my nightstand. I never thought he'd have this rage in him like his twin.

"It's not Adam!" I defended feeling a hand on my throat now.

"Who else rides bikes other than him? Among us?" Aaron snapped fueling the suspicion as he smirked at me.

"I said it's not him!!"

If they meant they'd kill him, they would, not minding if he was their half-brother.

"Did you memorize the plate number Aaron?"

My whole body shook as Aaron nodded. He hated Adam so much.

Even my wolf whimpered already, hiding at a corner because they were terrifying.

"Fucking give me a name!!" Ace roared, so serious that I had every reason to spit a name.

"Yeah, I got the plate number" Aaron cuts in coming in between them as he pointed it to Ace face.

I was scared for a moment until Aaron showed it to me. It wasn't Adam's plate number.

"Would you have really killed him? It were Adam?"

"Yes!" Ashar snapped. "It's fine with you being close to him but when he fucks you, it's a death sentence!"

I wondered how they'd even know if I fucked him.

"We scent them!" Adain snapped like he knew I wanted to ask that question.

I hauled adain's hair from my head and snapped ace hand away, rising up and panting.

I didn't flinch any longer but stood in the center of the room, my arms crossed over my chest, staring down at the five men before me.

"Look, I did it for the video, to have the public mind away..."

"You could have used any of us" Aaron counters like he doesn't have a girlfriend who should be in jail by now.

"You reek of him!" Ashar snarled stepping in as he sniffed me.
