Chapter 50 Unexpected Revelation

The disparity in size between them was immense. However, Daisy couldn't bear the sight of Justin's injured arm, and she didn’t want to dwell on the matter too much. She suggested, "We should call the police."

"Yes, I've already informed the authorities," Justin replied, turning to face Daisy. He reached out and touched her swollen belly, showing concern. "How's the baby? Are they okay after waiting in the car for so long?"

"I'm fine," Daisy quickly shook her head, her eyes filled with worry for Justin. "You should go to the hospital and get yourself bandaged up."

"Alright," Justin smiled, opened the car door, and headed back to the hospital.

Lily's incident didn't cause much trouble for Daisy, as they carried on living their lives as normal for the next few months. Unbeknownst to her, September had arrived, and Daisy was already approaching her due date. She spend most of her time at home because her feet were swollen, which made it hard for her to move around.

One day, her phone suddenly rang. Daisy, struggling to move around with her bulging belly, managed to walked to the bedroom to answer the call.

To her surprise, it was Felix on the other end of the line. Daisy was puzzled, as she hadn't contacted him for over a year since she left her previous job. She couldn't help but ask, "How did you get my number? Is there something you need?"

"How could I not have your number?" Felix's voice didn't sound good; he sounded intoxicated, almost as if he had been drinking. "I just wanted to ask you, why are you so cruel to me?"

"You said that being with me together will only betray lily and that you will feel sorry for her. . But look at you now, you have become a mistress to a married man yourself."

Daisy was completely confused and a little angry. "What married man are you talking about? I'm married, don't make baseless accusations!"

"Baseless accusations? I just saw his wife and his family."

His family?

Daisy became even more bewildered. "What are you talking about? Are you referring to Justin? What wife? What family?"

Wasn't Daisy his lawfully wedded wife? Didn't they cut off contact with his family?

It must be a misunderstanding!

Daisy had those questions playing on repeat in her mind, her hand trembled while holding the phone. "Felix, please explain clearly. I don't understand what you're saying."

In his drunken state, Felix didn't pay much attention to Daisy's urgent tone and continued to speak out without any restraint. "Justin? Of course it's him!"

"He is a Singaporean Chinese, Mr. Scott's legitimate son. His family owns the largest cosmetics distributor in the country."

"His wife's father is our company’s biggest partner."

In an instant, Daisy’s mind was initially overwhelmed by what she had just heard, but she slowly began to feel a void inside her. It felt as if her airway had been severed, making it hard for her to breathe.

Her heartbeat accelerated uncontrollably, and every nerve in her body tensed.

It can't be true!

"That's impossible! You're lying!"

Felix sneered, "Well, go check online then. Mr. Scott, Legacy Corporation."

"I just want to know why you chose him. Was it all part of your plot to enter a wealthy family?"

Daisy could no longer comprehend anything Felix was saying, and she abruptly hung up the phone and stared at her phone’s screen.
