Chapter 27 Good Moves
The next day, George woke up.
On his body, there was nothing but dark and greasy oil stains, smelly and fishy.
He knew that this was the result of using an ancient secret technique passed down by his ancestors to cleanse and purify his body. Despite feeling uncomfortable with the sticky sensation, his body and spirit were incredibly energetic, filled with a powerful force, and his dantian overflowed with true energy.
Turning to Mia, she was still asleep, but her physical condition was much better than before.
It made him certain that none of this was a dream.
He immediately went into the bathroom connected to the hospital room and washed himself inside and out.
However, his clothes were also dirty and foul-smelling.
"No choice, I can only go back to the Willow family!"
After Mia woke up and had a conversation with her, George headed back to the Willow family.
To his surprise, as soon as he arrived at the Willow family villa, he found his luggage tossed out again, with lesser care taken than last time. Florence actually took a pair of scissors and started cutting his clothes.
Snip, snip, she cut them into pieces.
In an instant, George's anger welled up.
He rushed over and snatched the scissors from her hand, saying, "What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you cutting my clothes?"
Florence viciously replied, "This is my house, so I can cut them. What's wrong with that? From now on, you are no longer part of my family. My family doesn't keep animals! Also, sign this divorce agreement and give it to me."
She actually brought out a divorce agreement from the house.
George was speechless. "Where did you get this from?"
Florence said, "Of course, Lily wrote it. She had prepared it a long time ago."
George didn't believe it at all. "Fine, I'll move out! But I won't sign the divorce agreement unless Lily comes in person!"
After saying that, he picked up a few important documents and left behind everything else.
"What about the key? Hand it over, and from now on, you can live under a bridge!" Florence demanded.
George threw the key and sneered, "Whether I live in a bridge or a five-star hotel, it’s none of your concern!"
Florence scoffed, "A five-star hotel? I doubt you can even afford a doghouse. Get lost! I will find a much better husband for Lily, someone a thousand times, ten thousand times better than you! Even Tom is a hundred times better than you!"
Just mentioning Tom made George's anger surge.
He kicked a nearby water well with all his might.
"Boom!"
The well ring was shattered by his kick.
Florence was startled, staring silently and fearfully as George walked away.
She started cursing at him angrily when he had walked far away from her.
Not long after George left the Willow family, a phone call came to his cell phone.
Seeing the caller ID, it was Vivian.
He quickly answered, "Hello,
"Dr. Tudson, is there something wrong with my mother?" Vivian laughed on the other end and replied, "No, your mother is fine, and she's recovering quite well. I called you this time because my grandfather wanted to meet you."
"Oh? Your grandfather. The renowned physician Oliver Tudson from Riverdale?" Highly skilled doctors are often referred to as famous healers. "God-like physician" is just an adjective. However, Oliver Tudson is the only one recognized as a true miracle worker in Riverdale, earning fame throughout the town.
George was puzzled and asked, "Dr. Tudson, what does your grandfather want with me?"
Vivian didn't say directly, but instead said, "You'll find out when the time comes. Go see your mother first, and I'll pick you up at the hospital later."
...
"Mom!"
George arrived at the hospital and saw his mother awake. The anger he had experienced in Willow family gradually subsided. He carefully examined Mia using his knowledge of traditional medicine and noticed that her condition had improved significantly since yesterday. Relieved, he smiled and said, "I just bought some rice porridge from Zhou's Restaurant. The doctor said you can only eat something easily digestible for now. Let me feed you."
Mia looked at him lovingly and said, "Yan'er, I heard that you've been taking care of me like a true professional, even more professional than the nurses. You have truly suffered."
George felt his nose tingling. Indeed, his own mother was the best, unlike Florence, who treated him like a servant.
He fed Mia the porridge spoon by spoon and then gave her a limb massage. After lying in bed for half a year, Mia had suffered from muscle atrophy. However, George's massage technique was unique, combined with the assistance of his unnamed martial art's true energy. He believed that within three days, his mother would be able to walk and jump like a normal person.
"Hello, Dr. Tudson!"
Suddenly, Mia greeted him.
George turned around and saw Vivian had arrived.
She looked at George, who was massaging, with a strange expression and asked, "Your massage technique is quite special, did you learn it online?"
"Uh... yes."
"Continue then."
In Vivian's eyes, George was simply doing useless work—light and inconsistent in his massage techniques, as if playing around. She had no idea that George was using his internal energy to open up Mia's meridians and blood vessels, and then treating them with acupuncture. The technique had to be gentle; otherwise, it could damage the meridians.
Vivian shook her head and thought, 'Grandfather is probably going to be disappointed this time. George has no understanding of medical techniques.'
After the massage, Mia said, "Yan'er, after your massage, I feel much better. I should be able to walk soon."
George nodded and smiled, "Don't worry, in three days, you'll be able to go for a run."
Vivian's thoughts were unfinished as the excerpt ended here.
George, who couldn't understand why Oliver Tudson would seek him out, asked Vivian as he got into the car, "Where are we going?"
"PrimeCare Clinic," Vivian replied.
George knew that PrimeCare Clinic was a traditional Chinese medicine clinic owned by the renowned healer Oliver Tudson in Riverdale. Not only did Oliver personally attend to patients there, but he also gathered a group of skilled Chinese physicians. Many people in Riverdale chose to come here instead of going to a large hospital. Even patients from other provinces and cities would travel a long distance just to seek treatment here.
They arrived at PrimeCare Clinic quickly.
Following Vivian's lead, George's gaze unintentionally swept over her. Tall and elegant, standing at least 1.7 meters with graceful curves, she captivated him with every step she took.
At that moment, Vivian suddenly stopped and turned to him, asking, "What do you think?"
Huh?
George had only seen her back and didn't catch what she said earlier. Without thinking, he blurted out, "You look great."
Vivian was stunned. It was only then that she noticed he had been staring at her from behind. She knew there was something special about particular areas of her body, and her grandmother often reminded her of that. But to be praised like this by a man, she couldn't bear it.
"You... shameless!"
She stomped forward a few steps, then turned back and said, "You go in front."
George was tempted to slap himself. He was truly bewildered. Why did he have to say something like "you look great"? What was he even thinking about?
Following Vivian's guidance, they arrived at the door of an examination room.
To his surprise, he saw Florence there.
