Meeting Ashley

I woke up from a deep slumber. I felt complete. Looking around the room, I was alone. The silence was comforting, allowing me to savor the stillness and embrace the tranquility of the moment. As I stretched my limbs and took a deep breath, a sense of peace washed over me, making me appreciate the rare solitude that enveloped me.

"Hi! There," I heard a cheerful voice from behind, breaking the silence. Turning around, I saw around the room. No one was present.

"It's me, little girl." Confused, I scanned the room once more, searching for the source of the voice. The cheerful tone seemed to echo in my ears, but there was no sign of anyone else in the room.

"Your wolf." I froze, my heart pounding in my chest as I realized the voice belonged to my loyal companion, my wolf. Memories flooded back of our adventures together, and a sense of relief washed over me. It was comforting to know that even in this moment of solitude, I wasn't truly alone.

"Hi Wolf," I said with a smile, feeling a deep connection with my furry friend. We had been through so much together. "Have you been inside me all this time?" I asked, my voice filled with wonder.

"Yes, I have always been with you." Wolf's voice was filled with warmth and reassurance. It was then that I understood the true meaning of our bond—a connection that transcended physical presence.

"Yet I never felt you. Neither knew your presence. It was always emotional inside me. Hillow and void of companionship," I admitted, realizing that Wolf had been the missing piece in my life all along.

"Your mother used a binding spell on me." Her voice was sad as if she were mourning a lost opportunity.

"Why would she do that?" I asked, confused by the revelation. "She wanted to protect you," Wolf replied softly. "She believed that by binding me to you, she could ensure your safety and keep you from harm."

"What is your name, wolf?" I inquired, eager to know the identity of the being that had been silently accompanying me all this time. Wolf hesitated for a moment, his eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and longing, before finally responding, "My true name has been lost to time, but you may call me Ashley."

"Ashley," I repeated, letting the name roll off my tongue. It felt strangely familiar as if I had heard it before in a distant memory.

"Thank you for breaking the binding," Ashley said it with a grateful smile. "For years, I have been trapped inside you, unable to communicate with you. It feels liberating to finally have a voice, and you can understand me." I could sense the weight of Ashley's words, realizing that our encounter was no mere coincidence but rather a destined connection that would forever change both our lives.

"Never leave me. I love to have you." Ashley's words resonated deeply within me, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of warmth and affection towards her. As our bond grew stronger, I knew that I could never imagine a life without her presence by my side.

"I have met our mate," she declared. "You met Maddox." I was taken aback by Ashley's declaration, my mind racing to process the significance of her words.

"We mated" The realization hit me like a tonne of bricks, and I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension.

"No, we have to reject him. He never saw us as friends. In our first meeting, he kissed me, then he tried to kill me. I don't want him. He even chose someone as his Luna. I hate him, Ashley. Let's just reject him." Tears rolled down my eyes. Ashley's voice filled with sadness as she listened to my outburst. "I understand your anger and hurt, but rejecting him might not be the best solution," she said gently.

"I don't want him, Ashley. You shouldn't have mated with him without asking me. I'll never allow Max to mark me." I said it with a determined tone.

"Then let's go and reject him," Ashley said in the same determin ed tone.

"Why are you agreeing now?" I asked, surprised by her sudden change of heart. Ashley sighed and looked at me with a mix of empathy and concern.

"I agree because I can see how much pain this is causing you, and as your wolf, I want to support you in whatever decision you make," she explained.

I woke up and got out of my room. I asked everyone if they saw Max. I wanted to reject him as soon as possible. I delayed my decision. He needs to accept my rejection, and then I will recover in the coven and start a new life.

"She is so cute." Max's voice rang out from behind me, causing me to turn around and face him.

"Aira," he called me so dearly, his voice filled with love. "You woke up, dear," he said with a gentle smile. I felt a mix of emotions as I looked into his eyes—the same eyes that used to make my heart skip a beat. However, I knew that staying strong and sticking to my decision was crucial for my well-being.

"Look, baby, your aunt is here," Max said, bringing a cute baby towards me.

"She is Thomas's daughter." I looked down at the adorable baby in Max's arms, feeling a surge of warmth and tenderness. As I reached out to hold her, I couldn't help but wonder how this little bundle of joy would change our lives forever. The thought of being an aunt filled me with a sense of responsibility and excitement, knowing that I would play a special role in her life.

I looked confused at Thomas and said, "She is my daughter. Will you name her?" Thomas looked at me with a mix of surprise and confusion, realizing that I had misunderstood his earlier statement. "Oh, I apologize for the confusion," he said, gently correcting me. "I meant to say that she is my daughter, not Max's. As for her name, I would love to hear your suggestions."

"You adopted her?" I asked him as I picked her up from Max's arm. The cutie giggled as she landed in my arms.

'She is cute,' Ashley said in my head.

"No, she is my daughter; my mate died during her delivery. It's a long story." Thomas's words hung in the air, leaving a sense of sadness and loss. As I held the little girl in my arms, I couldn't help but feel a surge of compassion for Thomas and the difficult journey he must have been through.

"I'm sorry. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you, Thomas," I said softly, my heart aching for him. "If there's anything I can do to help or support you and your daughter, please don't hesitate to let me know."

"Brother, I will always be with her." I looked at her with a mixture of admiration and sympathy.

In the next hour, everyone summarised the baby and Thomas's story. I'm also glad to understand that for three days everyone in the coven helped me with transition.

It took me a lot of brains to understand what happened in the past week when I was struggling with my body.

During the past week, while I was grappling with the challenges my body presented, it was a relief to learn that the coven had been supporting me through my transition.

"I'm sorry, brother. I'm glad you hid her from our pack. I always thought you were running away from us to work on your patrol duties. Good that you made a family. I should have met my sister-in-law."

"Her name is Hazel. She has hazel eyes like my baby" As my brother expressed his regret for not meeting my sister-in-law, he shared that her name is Hazel and she has beautiful hazel eyes, just like his baby.

"Why do you wish for me to name her? You could have done it," I responded, feeling a mix of confusion and curiosity. My brother looked down with a hint of sadness in his eyes and replied,

"It was Hazel's wish. One day I showed you to her from a distance. She told me that you are kind and good by nature. She wanted you to name her. She said, One day you will understand why she chose you to name our baby." I felt a wave of emotions wash over me as I realized the significance of this request. It was a bittersweet reminder of the deep connection between my brother's late wife and myself, and I knew that honoring her wish would forever bind us together in a special way.

"That's a beautiful and meaningful way to keep her memory alive," I said, my voice filled with gratitude. "I promise to choose a name that will honor her and the love she had for both of you."

"there is no beautiful name for that moon goddess. She will be named Cynthia" As I spoke those words, I could feel the weight of the decision settle upon me. Cynthia, the name of the moon goddess, seemed to encapsulate the ethereal and timeless love that my brother's late wife had embodied. It was a name that would forever honor her memory and serve as a constant reminder of the deep connection we shared.

"Tomorrow we will have a naming ceremony for my granddaughter."Elizabeth's voice rang loudly.

"We will have day and night celebrations for this special occasion. It will be a joyous gathering of family and friends, filled with laughter, music, and delicious food. The naming ceremony will not only celebrate the arrival of our precious granddaughter but also symbolize the continuation of love and life in our family for generations to come. " her voice resonated with excitement and anticipation. The room buzzed with the energy of everyone eagerly looking forward to the festivities.

"I will take her back to her nursery; we need to get her outfit prepared." Thomas took Cynthia back to the nursery, their hearts full of love and anticipation for the special day ahead. As they carefully selected the perfect outfit for their daughter, they couldn't help but imagine all the future celebrations and milestones they would share as a family.

I was finally left alone with Max. My wolf was calm all this time.

"I'm happy to see you. Never leave me again, Aira." Max's eyes sparkled with joy as he nuzzled against me, his tail wagging uncontrollably. The bond between us felt stronger than ever, and I knew that we would never be apart again.

"Accept my rejection, Max," I said firmly, my voice tinged with sadness. Max's eyes filled with hurt and confusion as he struggled to process my words.

"When did you reject me?" he asked with a quiver in his voice. I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself before answering.

"I've been rejecting you all along, Max," I confessed, my heart aching with the weight of my words. Max's face fell, his eyes searching mine for any sign of hope.

"Before my transition, I rejected you. I think it would be best for us to stay apart." Max's shoulders slumped, his disappointment evident. He nodded slowly, accepting my decision with a heavy heart. As we stood there in silence, the distance between us seemed to grow, leaving us both with a bittersweet longing for what could have been.

"I accepted you as my mate. I want you to accept me as your mate." Max whispered, his voice filled with vulnerability. I could see the longing in his eyes, the desire for a second chance. My heart wavered, torn between the pain of the past and the possibility of a future together.

"Accept my rejection," I said, finally walking away from him. I reached my room. The sound of my wolf's whining echoed in my mind, a constant reminder of the difficult decision I had just made. I closed the door behind me, trying to drown out the ache in my heart as I prepared to face the consequences of rejecting Max.

As Thomas's daughter is Elizibathe's granddaughter, we became a family. I requested that she extend my stay in Coven. Thanks to her generosity, I was able to find solace and support in the company of my newfound family. With their love and understanding, I began to heal from the pain of the past and embrace the hope of a brighter future.
