Chapter 35
Angel
The next morning, I awoke in the same bed that Gray had took me in. We were now under the sheets, my heels were off, and I was entirely naked compared to last night.
I now lay in Grays arms securely. Their chin atop of my head, as their arms were wrapped around me as if we were to hug. Our naked bodies pressing into one another as if to share each other's warmth beneath the silk sheet.
I began to shift just slightly in their arms as I came to, my eyes fluttering open slowly. I groaned at the sudden aching feeling between my legs. My crotch was undoubtedly swollen.
The memories coming to me like ten shots taken back-to-back. They had been so rough with me the night prior.
"Gray?"
I called, wondering if they were awake.
"Ten more minutes, mi amor."
They groaned groggily in their sleepy voice. Their arms hugging me tighter than before, further pressing my body into theirs. Then, my phone began to ring and vibrate on the nightstand next to me.
Slowly, Grays arms came from around me as if they didn't want to let me go. With a soft groan, they turned onto their other side, their strong back now facing me as I sat up, stretched my arms with a dragged out and well needed yawn. I reached for my phone, picking it up from the nightstand, I answered it and brought it next to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Angel are you ok? You didn't come home last night."
Kyle sang on the other line; their voice rang with worry though they sounded as if they had just woken up just seconds before calling me. In truth, I had expected to hear my mother's voice, not Kyles.
"Geez Kyle, we might as well call you my mother, and my actual mom my best friend."
"I'm trying to be serious right now and show how worried I am for you."
Kyle chuckled out, unable to contain his little laughter's even though he admits to wanting to show his worry for me.
"I'm fine Kyle...I am just with Scar. They took me to the other house last night, and we decided to stay instead of go back to that house."
"Oh? Did you two, I don't know, do anything fun in your lonesome."
"Kyle. I will hang up this phone-"
Suddenly, the phone was in Grays hand, right next to their ear. They had risen from their sleeping state and took my phone from me.
"Angel is trying to sleep, call back later."
Their tone was cold and almost sounded as if they were discreetly warning him off. It certainly made a chill run down my spine as I listened to them. Then, they hung up my phone and tossed it onto the sheet that covered our bodies.
Then, they climbed out of the bed and walked into the bathroom that was on the right wall of the bedroom.
"Why did you do that Gray?"
"Because I didn't want you talking to that guy."
They replied to me in the plainest way they could. Showing off the uninterest they had in having this conversation in their voice.
"You don't get to do that. We aren't together, and he is my best friend. He can talk to me and call me as early as he would like to."
I heard the shower cut on in the bathroom, after the toilet had flushed. Then, Grays frame came into view, a green toothbrush in their mouth, toothpaste foaming on their lips as they stood in the doorway of the bathroom. A hand hanging onto the top of the door frame as they leaned forward, holding their toothbrush in their other hand, showing of their naked frame carved to perfection.
I don't know why, but that alone made me blush. But of course, I couldn't look away.
"What do you mean we are not together Angel? We sealed it with a kiss remember. Last night."
"What do you mean Gray, I don't remember us doing anything like that."
I arched an eyebrow as I searched my memory to recall that act. Nothing came to mind, and it only began to annoy me.
"You really don't remember? Before you fell asleep, I asked you to be mine. You said yes and we sealed it with a kiss before you fell asleep. You were pretty.... warn out though."
They spoke through the minty foam and toothbrush in their mouth. Their last comment making the pink color in my cheeks to deepen.
"Well, if you join me in the shower, I'm sure I could refresh your memory."
"Gray...I'm kind of..."
I looked down at my crotch between my legs through the sheet then slowly back up at them. Then, they retreated back into the bathroom, rinsed their mouth and put away their toothbrush, finally they came out and collected me from the bed. Carrying me bridal style in their strong arms into the bathroom and into the shower where they placed me onto my feet gently.
I came to the realization that this room was decorated and designed similarly to the one assigned to me in the other house, with only slight differences.
Gray still held me by the waist as if I couldn't keep myself up steady. I raised an eyebrow at them, curious why they were doing this.
"Don't look at me so confused. I'm just taking in the beauty of you now that I don't have to choose between doing this or struggling to keep my dick at bay."
"I'm also doing this because you are sore. I didn't mean to be so rough, now you'll need a little assistance in walking. Though I would rather you just rest for the day so you can heal properly."
I looked away from them, the way they casually first complimented me and then told me apologetically how they didn't mean to be rough with me the night prior making my insides stir.
I wanted them again. But they didn't seem as if they'd give me what I wanted with how serious they sounded when they told me they preferred for me to stay and rest in bed all day.
"What, are you going to be here to cater to my every need?"
"Yes, I am, actually. Just for you, for today, I cleared everything on my schedule and left everything I needed to do today in Josh's hands."
Their sudden choice of words caused for my brows to furrow, my head to quickly snap back up at them, and my arms to come up in a quick fold.
"Oh, so you could never clear your schedule for me before until now?"
"Angel. Let's not do this right now."
"No. We are doing this now. Give me a good explanation as to why you couldn't ever clear your schedule for me before now."
Gray only pierced their lips at me. Then they leaned their head back, a prolonged aggravated sigh escaping them.
"If it weren't for your soreness, I'd leave you in here to argue with yourself."
"Are you serious Gray?!"
"Shut up and shower Angel. I am not having this conversation with you right now. Do you understand me?"
"You know what, I'll shower by myself when you are done."
"Angel. Either you take your shower now, or. I'll bathe you my damn self."
Gray had leaned down to my height so that our eyes would meet. And whenever I would turn my head away from them, they'd just force it back with their hand and give me no other choice but to look at them.
After we showered, Gray carried me back to the bed and tucked me comfortably under the blanket. Then, they began to get dressed. Finding their way over to the dresser opposite of the bed, they pulled a pair of boxers and sports bra from the top drawer and put them on. Then from the next few drawers they pulled out a tank-top and a pair of shorts. *Never thought I would see them wearing shorts.*
Then, with a little bit of gel on their fingertips they began to pull their hair into a slicked back ponytail atop their head. Finally, they turned around, their arms folding under their chest as they looked at me.
"What would you like for breakfast princess?"
"Are you cooking?"
"Would you prefer that I cooked?"
"Yes. Since last time you offered to cook dinner, we went out to eat instead. It was pretty disappointing."
Gray chuckled at my reply before pushing themself off of their dresser they were propped up against. Then, they left me in my lonesome in this large room to go make us breakfast.
While I sat there in the bed, trying to decide what it was I wanted to do while I waited, I began to think about Cayla. Where could she be? They said it was a high possibility that she knew of my whereabouts in Sedona, so, was I safe here? Could she be watching in the window right now?
I was curious what methods Gray, and their men were using to keep her at bay, or to find her. Was it even considered safe for me and my family to be staying in these houses anymore? So many questions were running through my mind, and all of them being about Cayla, Gray's ex of all people were starting to annoy me more than they did frighten me.
In the beginning, I was afraid of Cayla and what she could do to me. But, one night, while I was bed ridden with a cast and broken ribs, a thought hit me. I had the protection of the biggest boss. The Ring Leader. I didn't need to fear her.
But if I weren't going to fear her, I needed to do something that would replace that fear.
