"And another thing, I want a divorce from you." Liliana replied. If she had refused to divorce to protect all the assets Chloe wanted to own, now she didn't have to do that anymore. Jordan had no choice but to give everything to Arthur, so there was no reason for Liliana to stay with him.
Jordan stared at Liliana without knowing what to say. All this time, he had been trying to get rid of his wife, but Liliana always had a way of thwarting his plans. Now it was Liliana herself who said she wanted a divorce. And it felt like a hundred and eighty degrees. Jordan was suddenly afraid of being abandoned. Probably because he already knew that Chloe was never really on his side.
"If you really are giving up all your assets to Arthur and are willing to divorce without any drama, then I'll never tell Arthur about your rottenness," Liliana said again. "That way, Arthur will still see you as his father."
Jordan again had no choice but to agree to Liliana's words. The man seemed to have run out of steam and couldn't fight anymore.
Arthur stopped the video replay and leaned back as he let out a long sigh. He then disconnected the system by pressing the off button on his watch.
Arthur's soul was completely shaken for a while after knowing all the truth. The poor mother who suffered so much, the father who was cruel and evil beyond belief, and the scheming stepmother and stepsisters. It all filled Arthur's head, making it feel like it was going to explode.
But at least now Arthur knew what Dave was looking for. Most likely it was the results of Dave's DNA test that Jordan had previously given to Liliana. If it was revealed that Dave was not Jordan's biological son, his position in the company would definitely be shaken, right?
No wonder Arthur was suddenly sent back from abroad and told that he would be the sole heir of the Great Food Company. Arthur himself was surprised and confused, because he had never been a priority for Jordan. Apparently because Jordan had found out that Dave was Chloe's son from another man.

For two days Arthur thought about how to protect Liliana from Dave's clutches. On the third day, his cell phone suddenly received a message from an unknown number.
"Hi, Mr. Artha Wang. Do you remember me? I'm Liliana. The other day you asked me to let you know when I've made the macaroons. Today I have made macaroons. Would you like to come and taste it?"
Arthur was stunned for a few moments after reading the message. It was a message from his mother. He couldn't waste this golden opportunity and had to convince Liliana to trust him.
Arthur grabbed his coat and put it on. Soon after, he drove to Liliana's house in the car Eve had given him. Along the way, he kept thinking about how to make Liliana listen to him.
Arriving in front of Liliana's house, Arthur passed two of Dave's men who had just come out of his mother's house. Arthur deliberately didn't get off first so he wouldn't have to cross paths with the hired men. After they left in a jeep, Arthur got out of his car and entered his mother's yard.
Liliana herself seemed unprepared for Arthur's arrival. She looked disoriented and tried to clean up her broken plant pots as best she could.
"Sorry for the mess. I was the one who invited you, but I'm not even ready for your arrival," Liliana said with some embarrassment.
"Let me help you clean up, ma'am." Arthur immediately stepped in to help his mother.
Of course, Liliana prevented him at first, but since Arthur insisted on helping, she couldn't say anything else.
After everything was done, Liliana took Arthur to the side porch where they had been having tea. Liliana again served tea with a camomile mixture, of course along with macaroons as she had previously promised through a message.
"Did the person from the other day come here again, ma'am?" asked Arthur as he sipped his tea.
Liliana couldn't help but smile and agree to Arthur's question.
"What do they want from Madam? Why did they go to such lengths?" Arthur asked again.
"They are looking for something that is not in me," Liliana said.
Arthur was silent for a moment. Looking for something that Liliana didn't have, did that mean that what Dave was looking for wasn't the man's DNA test results?
"Do you have no desire to take refuge or hide? They seem dangerous, ma'am. I'm afraid they might hurt her if she stays in this house." Arthur asked again cautiously.
Liliana did not answer immediately. She seemed to be silent for a while. Actually, she was also starting to feel worried because Dave's men were getting bolder, but she had no choice but to stay put until her son showed up.
However, as time went on, Liliana was losing hope. She was so sure that Arthur was alive and hiding somewhere, but now she was beginning to doubt her own beliefs.
"I have nowhere to hide. Besides, I'm still waiting for my son to come home. I'm afraid he'll get confused looking for me if I'm not here when he returns," Liliana finally replied.
Arthur looked at his mother with an inexplicable sense of tightness. If only he could tell her that he was the Arthur Greens Liliana was waiting for right now, things would have been a lot easier. But the system forbade Arthur from revealing his identity to anyone, including his mother. If he did that, then his revenge mission would immediately fail.
"Madam, I want to confess something to you and I hope you can believe it," Arthur said then.
Liliana looked at Arthur.
"What is it?" she asked.
Arthur looked down for a moment and sighed, before raising his face again.
"I actually know Arthur Greens, your son. I also know where he is now."
