Chapter 56 - Unexpected Guest

Fiona's POV.

I know that wasn't the best decision I took so far, I had a plan, a crazy ass plan which would maybe have someone dead.

I picked up my phone and called on Jeremy who I assume wouldn't be at home.

“Hello,”

“Hello dear, how are you doing?”

“I’m not fine anyway, I wanted to see you.”

“Hmm, what Happened? You sound tense, is everything alright?”

“Actually I made some kinda shitty decision I am not okay with, I just wanted to let you know, perhaps I should come around when you are at home.”

“I am at home now, I just got back from the animal farm, and I would love to see you.”

“Seriously, maybe I should come over to the house and have us talk about it then.”

“Alright.”

I ended the call out of anxiety, I rushed out to the vehicle stand since I had the keys from earlier on. I zoomed off without a second thought and headed straight to he's. I discovered I drove even faster than I usually did when anxiety jams up with me.

I drove straight to the premises which was all quiet as usual but my wolf had me believe something easy right. I felt like I was being followed.

When I had a quick scan of the environs, it looked all safe and secured. I walked into the house after a series of knocking at the door.

“Hello, Jeremy?”

No one responded at the instant and I was moved to take a walk around the house to see if all was alright.

“I walked slowly to the room after I heard a clumsy sound and behold, there the old man was with an earbud in his ear listening to loud music as he cleaned the furniture.”

“Uncle?” I called again and still, the sound of the music couldn't let him hear me. I then walked closer to him and tapped.”

“Jeremy!”

He turned to me in shock and threw the mop as a bucket of water in his hands which splashed to the ground.

“What the hell was that for?” I scolded.

“What? Oh, my bad, I don't know how to explain this to you, I was trying to test the new ear pod I got today from the mall downtown, it's so good, like the bass and…”

“What do you mean? Jeremy, I spoke with you on the phone and you affirmed I should come meet you up here. You just came back home, I forgive you for this whole mess, and please don't ask me to clean the water spilled on the floor because I wouldn't.”

“No, no way. I can't ask you to clean this mess since I am the one at fault.”

He picked up the mop and began cleaning.

“So what brought you here actually?” He asked while still on duty.

“Jeremy, I think I will be attending the birthday party this week.”

He paused like some sorcerer had imagined him to stand still, as in the regular Doctor Strange comic from T.V.

“What do you mean you'll be attending the birthday party? That was never the agreement you and I had, ever. Fiona, I have never known you to be this dumb, what did they tell you?

Who told you to say this? Have you thought of the danger you would be getting yourself into? You said it yourself, your wolf isn't in conjunction with the sudden attitude of Susan, I wouldn't want you to make such mistakes, no, not under my watch.”

“Jeremy I am sorry things had to be this way but I must confess, I think it's high time I showed these fools who the true Isabel is, they need to feel my heart.”

“What? What heat are you talking about? You wouldn't know how this whole thing works, you were given a second chance to prove to the moon goddess you deserve big vengeance, your primary goal is to kill Asher and Cassy, not go after some god damned wolf Princess and the useless friends she has around her.”

“Jeremy I don't want this to look like some sort of argument, all I need you to do is promise me you'll stick to my plan.”

“Fiona, are you trying to tell me all these while I mistook you for one who was smart enough? Like the whole time I had faith in a weak vessel?”

“What? You actually referred to me as that?”

“Fiona I'm sorry if I'm acting rude, you have to understand my viewpoint, you aren't to underestimate the power and craftiness of your opposition, you don't know the extent she would take things to as the people she's working with as ask the extent their power has gone, I just want you to know that if you do as much as go to that party, you may likely not come. back alive.”

“Jeremy, I'm sorry because it's already too late.”

“What do you mean it's already too late? The birthday isn't here yet.”

“Jeremy I've just told them I'll be in attendance, and I did that in front of Devan, Susan and her friend Callister, so you see it wouldn't look nice for Luna to go back on her word.”

“I think at this point I should bring her in.”

“Whom are you talking about?”

Jeremy clapped his hands softly in a bid to signal someone and she walked out of the back door staring at me while I watched him in awe, ‘what the hell is this?’ I almost fainted.

Jeremy welcomed the Witch who was the sole target of the inhabitants of DarkVille, One whose pictures were all over the internet now, and on the street. The Alpha and the Elders in council had placed a bounty on her and she had been in hiding since her escape From the dungeon.

She walked down to my point and called my name.

“Hi, Fiona.”

My eyes were all glued to hers and the shock in my heart made it race.

“For how long?” I asked Jeremy who saw how betrayed I was.

“Since day one.”

She relaxed herself now on the couch and folded her arms while still staring deep into my eyes. She was the last person I had ever hoped to see and in my uncle's house as a partner with whom he had worked before. It was Gladys.
