Chapter 154
A swift silence drifted the moment as he picked up his phone answering the call with his palm held out to everyone to stop them from talking.
“We need to talk.” A female voice boomed through the phone’s speaker right into the ear it was placed upon. It was familiar, definitely like a voice he’s heard before, took some seconds but he recognized it soon to be Delaney’s voice.
His expression turn sour immediately, as if she could see his face through the phone call. “What do you want?” His voice was the same, sour and cold to the hearing as he retorted back into the phone.
“A chat, a physical one. I was suppose to have it with your daughter, but she stood me up, so it’s not really bad if I want the chat with her father instead.” She reasoned, her voice seeming to be pinching a nerve in Davis’ body as his eyes kept twitching with face scrunching up to hide his blowing cool.
“You wicked psychotic bitch, you want to have a chat with me after everything you’ve done to me.” He bellowed in an angry tone, gritting his teeth as he fought to control his anger.
“I’m not the wicked one here, it was you who cheated on me wasn’t it? Davis you called our wedding off three weeks to the wedding, said I was doing something with your friends when I wasn’t, which means you didn’t trust me. This is all your fault, I wouldn’t have done any of this if you didn’t break my heart-“
“Just shut up!” Davis found himself screaming at the phone, the gaslighting was pissing him off more than he wants.
“I don’t care about the past, I care about my present so I’m going to need you to move the fuck on and release my wife from wherever you kept her. If you refuse, I’m gonna come for everything you have and send you to jail, you and your bastard son; because obviously a boy that evil does not come from me at all.” Davis hooted out loud into the phone with visible anger.
“I-“
“I don’t have anything to say to you, other than that I’m warning you to release my wife and I might consider not putting you in jail. You’ve done enough.”
Davis ended the call afterwards, still angry to the point he began breathing loud, his expression an epitome of bottled up rage.
Jericho and Tyler was witnessing this, watching him breathe as though he would soon commit a murder. “Sir are you-“
Davis walked out of their midst before Jericho could finish his sentence, hence he stopped talking finding it irrelevant as the person he was going to say it to was gone.
Jericho glanced around the room till his eyes landed on Tyler, he found his eyes appreciating his godly physiques.
He was the definition of seduction with his look, handsome countenance with a soul piercing eyes over a well carved lips. Everything about him screams hot.
He has got to be one of the top five hottest men in Los Angeles, but he wonders why he never made the magazine because those on the list or displayed on the list have nothing close to Tyler’s beauty.
Jericho still can’t believe he’s seated a few inches away from the city billionaire and beast, he was seeing him for the first time and a clearer look twisted his vision about him.
Not only was he well moulded in appearance, his body was another gorgeous part of him. He was ripped and physically fitted.
“Have anything to say to me?” His voice intrude the silence, asking as he moved his attractive orbs from gazing at an empty space to meeting Jericho’s that was on him.
“Oh…uhm…I…” Jericho stuttered, quickly returning his attention back to something else.
“So what are we doing now? I have places to been than stuck on a seat waiting for a man to finish blowing off his steam.” Tyler was unimpressed, it all appears unserious to him and if it wasn’t for his wife he would care less than he did or not even care at all.
“I’m working on a plan to save my sister.” Jericho replied, going mute as he adjusted his sitting position. He sat with one of his leg curled and into the standing other. “How about-“
“You go there like they requested and we come right for you without their knowledge.” Tyler completed the sentence, totally unfazed by the shock that stoned his expression.
“I mean that is good but could be risky, what if they knew. I don’t want to die yet-“
“Fine. I will have one of my men bring some guns over, you’ll have one to protect yourself and kill them all if you get the chance.” He said into his sentence once again, picking up his phone to make a call.
“Guns!” Jericho exclaimed, “How did you have a gun? Are you not like a billionaire that is always protected, what do you need a gun for? Or what are you doing with a gun?” Jericho found himself inquiring, looking wired up and a victim connected to a set up electric shock trigger.
“We both know those questions are dumb so I won’t be answering them. I suggest you go check on him, he needs to be over whatever emotion he’s dealing with so he can get down here and we can start planning on the ending we want. The day is closing up already, we don’t have much time before today ends so whatever we have to do we have to start planning it now.”
Just as Tyler finished addressing, Davis came back into their midst looking void of the anger swallowing him some minutes ago.
However, he was different, his hand was bandaged and bruises trailed along his knuckles. Couldn’t take Tyler a second to guess what he went to do. He snorted at the idea before standing to his feet.
“We should go get some things done now, this place is starting to annoy me.” He said attempting to walk past Davis going out of the house.
“I need you to call my daughter I want to speak with her.” Davis stopped him as he demanded, both at each other’s side with Tyler’s height looming above Davis.
His cold gaze ran up from the floor it was glued on to his side trailing up the muscled arm to an emotionless face peering down at him from his stance.
“My wife is fine like I told you, there is no reason to why you want to speak with her again. Unless there is something else you’re moving at.” He responded, calm and all edge around, his gaze at Davis darkening to heighten his level of intimidation that doesn’t seem to be working on Davis at the moment.
“Have been calling her for so long now, I will need more than your assurance, I will need to hear her speak to me.” Davis was adamant, intensifying his gaze on him to running more cold and cladding his face with a fearless expression.
“And what if I said there is no chance for that.” Tyler completely turned around, facing him with his lowered gaze at him, peering out into his soul as if studying it.
“Call my daughter I need to fucking talk to her. Don’t shit me right now Tyler, you and I know how crazy I can get because this is not our first encounter of madness.” Davis threatened, matching his scary eyes with his bold face.
“And both know how it ended so you wanna try it again and see-“
Davis reached for his collar grabbing it as he pulled on his neck. Tyler stood his ground not making a bulge, instead bringing his arms up close to his chest and crossing it.
“I don’t fucking care, just bring out your fucking phone and call my daughter or whoever is with her. Or is she locked up in your prison, what are you even doing to her? Tyler it is better you remember what I told you the other night you married. Incase you forgot I told you if you hurt my daughter is anyway, that I will come for you even if it is going to be the last thing I do on earth and make you pay. So I better not be guessing the right thing.” Davis phrased in a totally different voice, looking up at him with his eyes dilated, peeved to the core.
“Get your hands off me.” Tyler warned, briefly closing his eyes to reopen them with darkness tinting all over.
His gaze shallowed down at him. His countenance wounding up to a scary emotionless face.
“Call my daughter and I won’t do more than lay my hands on you.” Davis countered, rigid in his tone as he tightened his fist around his collar.
“Fine. Your daughter is a prisoner, fucking let me go before you regret it.”
Davis pulled at once, his breathing falling fast and without warning fisted his hand launching a punch directly into his jaw.
“You fucking what!” He hollered sending another punch into his jaw.
Tyler stood still without a shift in his stance, the two punches however sending his face into facing the other side.
His arms were still crossed, and slowly his darkened gaze turn from facing the other side back to Davis. His teeth gritted hard causing a minor stretch on his lips. He stared through his brows, his frowning face coming back to Davis.
Davis scoffed sorting to take another hit on his face when his punch got caught hanging in the air. Tyler dropped the fisted hand angrily in a way it affect his whole arm, his hand stretched forward almost grabbing Davis by the neck.
He pulled back his hand restricting himself from choking him, he leaned over to his side, his head at the side of his ear as he spoke out in whisper. “Punch me again or even touch me again, and I will forget you’re my in law.” He gave him the soft warning, one that washes away the rage burning within Davis.
He punched him twice, that is enough revenge for taking away his daughter.
Tyler stood back on his stance, glancing over at Jericho who sat there on the couch with a ghost face staring at everything unfolded.
“Do you have a sister to save or one to lose?” He threw at him, his voice and question bringing back his attention as he grabbed his back slouching it across his shoulder.
“I don’t know about a plan yet, but one thing is that I would be monitored by them to know if I kept to their warning of coming alone.” Jericho said as he trotted into motion, walking past them into leading the way out of the living room with Davis and Tyler walking from behind.
“Maybe you should go alone, Mr Lane has the address with him and we would give some space before coming after you. However, don’t let them suspect anything.”
