Chapter 27: Provoked by the Man and Wet

Chapter 27: Provoked by the Man and Wet
Chapter 27: The Proposition

A bone-chilling cold seeped in from the icy long chair, jolting Evelyn awake. She curled up, trembling uncontrollably like an abandoned cat.

The smell of disinfectant filled her nostrils, and the glaringly white lights stung her eyes.

A suit jacket, carrying a man's body heat and the scent of expensive wood, was unexpectedly draped over her shoulders. The warmth instantly enveloped her trembling body, acting like a barrier against the corridor’s icy air.

She looked up blankly, meeting a pair of deep eyes.

It was the man who had given her the black umbrella and helped her escape from the kidnappers.

He leaned down, his long, slender fingers adjusting the wide lapel of the suit. His fingertip brushed inadvertently against the cool skin of her neck. That brief touch shot through her like an electric current, and Evelyn’s body instantly stiffened.

As their eyes met, the noisy hospital corridor seemed to freeze in place.

“What a coincidence,” Ryan spoke first, his voice deep and magnetic.

“My car was rear-ended on the road, so I came to get a few scrapes checked out.” He pointed to a faint scratch on the back of his hand. “I did not expect to run into you here, beautiful lady.”

He looked at her pale face, then changed his tone. “It seems you are in serious trouble. Do you need help?”

“I…” Evelyn wanted to speak, but her throat was too dry to make a sound.

Before Evelyn could recover from the shock, Ryan leaned closer again.

“By the way, let me tell you something: that woman named Sienna, her ‘miscarriage’ is fake.”

Evelyn’s pupils violently contracted.

“I have preliminary evidence of her collusion with that doctor named Draven,” Ryan said. “Stop holding on to any fantasies about your so-called husband.”

His gaze swept over her with an undisguised intensity. He moved closer, his warm breath fanning against her ear.

“If I were your husband, I would only make you cry and beg for mercy while fucking you senseless in bed, not looking for other women and making you bleed for that bitch.”

The words were vulgar and blunt. She stared at him in shock, shame and fury instantly flooding her senses.

Ryan straightened up, returning to his impeccably dressed appearance, as if the man who had just spoken those outrageous words was merely her hallucination.

“Want to see for yourself?” He stood up and offered her his hand. “Sometimes, what your eyes see is more useful than anything your ears hear.”

As if in a trance, Evelyn placed her hand in his palm.

Ryan led her, silently hiding around the corner outside Sienna’s hospital room. The room door was slightly ajar, giving them a clear view of the scene inside.

Damian was sitting by the bed, spoon-feeding Sienna porridge, one small spoonful at a time. His actions were dripping with tenderness, his eyes full of the fear of loss and affection. That look of deep affection was what Evelyn had once desperately wished for.

Her nails dug deep into her palm; the sharp pain kept her clinging to the last shred of consciousness.

A warm, large hand covered the back of hers, forcibly peeling open her clenched fingers. Ryan held her wrist, gently rubbing the back of her cold hand with his thumb. It was a silent comfort, carrying a strange power. Evelyn’s body stiffened for a moment, but she did not pull her hand away.

She just stared intensely at the jarring scene in the hospital room. She heard Sienna say in a delicate voice, “Damian, our baby... it is all my fault, for not protecting him well...”

Followed by Damian’s gentle reassurance.

“It is alright, darling,” Damian put down the spoon, held Sienna’s hand, and kissed it lightly. “We will have other children, you and I.”

This sentence exploded like a thunderclap in Evelyn’s mind. What was the little life inside her womb? And what was the blood that had been drained from her?

Evelyn violently snatched her hand back. She turned, facing away from the jarring hospital room, and looked at Ryan with reddened eyes that held no tears.

“I know what I need to do.”

Ryan watched the flush around her eyes; that vulnerable red made his Adam’s apple subtly move. But in the end, he just nodded.

“If you need help, you can find me.” As soon as he finished speaking, Ryan’s phone in his pocket emitted a faint vibration. He took out his phone and glanced at the screen, his brow furrowing imperceptibly before he slipped the phone back into his pocket.

“I have to go.”

This sudden departure left Evelyn with a strange emptiness.

“Wait!” she said instinctively. “What... what is your name?”

The corridor’s stark white light outlined his defined profile, and the emotion in his deep-set eyes was indiscernible. Ryan did not answer immediately.

He stopped, turned back to face her, and closed the distance between them in a few steps. That familiar, aggressive aura enveloped her again.

“My name,” he began, “is pointless to tell you now.”

Evelyn frowned, looking at him with confusion.

He simply smiled.

“We will meet again soon, Evelyn.” He spoke her name. “I hope next time, you will show me your most beautiful side.”

His gaze slowly moved down, gliding from her reddened eyes, past her tightly pressed lips, and finally resting on her chest, which rose and fell slightly with tension. That gaze was almost physical, carrying a scorching temperature that made her intensely uncomfortable.

He stepped closer again, the distance between them so minimal that she could clearly smell the clean, cool scent of faint tobacco on him.

“If possible,” he paused, seemingly enjoying her current stiffness and helplessness, “I want you to... willingly spread your legs and let my dick slide into your tight pussy.”

Boom!

Evelyn’s mind went blank. She thought she would feel rage, scream, or slap him without hesitation. But her body’s reaction completely betrayed her reason.

An inexplicable heat shot up from her tailbone, instantly flooding her entire body. Her cheeks were shockingly hot; even her earlobes were burning. Her heart pounded frantically in her chest, threatening to leap out of her throat.

What made her feel even more ashamed was that a warm, tingling current was uncontrollably gathering between her legs. It was the tell-tale sign of her cunt getting wet.

She dared not even move, afraid that the slightest sensation would turn into an uncontrollable flood.

Why? How could she react like this to the provocation of a complete stranger?

Ryan took in all her reactions. Her wide eyes filled with shock, her cheeks instantly flushed crimson, and her body unconsciously tightened.

He was satisfied.

He did not say another word, simply giving her a deep look—a look that seemed to strip her clothes away. Then, he turned, strode away, and vanished into the end of the corridor without looking back.

His footsteps were steady and determined, fading away until they were completely gone.
