Accepting Ray!
Meanwhile, my heart raced, and it was difficult to utter a single word.
"Ray ...." I called softly, trying to capture his focused attention. Mixed emotions were trapped within me.
"Naina, forgive me. I said we would get married, but ...." Ray paused for a moment, seemingly burdened by the words he couldn't finish.
"Ray, can you help me? What you said earlier, were you serious? Can we really get married? I want to get out of my relationship with Redrick," I expressed my plea with undeniable hesitation. Then I apologized, "Ray, forgive me. I just... I know this may not be fair to you, but I don't want to be trapped in a relationship like that with Redrick. Forgive me, pretend I didn't say anything." I paused, my heart fluttering with complex emotions.
Ray smiled gently, soothing my worries. "Of course, Naina. If you want to get out of your relationship with Redrick, I'll help you. I'm serious. I want to marry you." His voice was warm and filled with conviction.
I stared at Ray in astonishment. Why would someone as amazing as Ray want to marry me? But seeing the tender expression on his face, I felt a cool breeze sweep over my heart.
Unexpectedly, Ray suddenly knelt before me and pulled out a beautiful ring adorned with a red diamond. Surprise flooded my heart. I never imagined Ray would do this.
In that moment, Ray smiled with utmost tenderness and said, "Lovely lady, will you marry me? I will always strive to make you happy for the rest of my life. If I break this promise, let me die in a terrible way!"
I was shocked to hear Ray's words. Without hesitation, I quickly covered his mouth with my hand. "Ray! You mustn't say things like that!" I scolded, feeling angry and worried.
But Ray firmly said, "Naina, be my wife," his eyes radiating warmth and love.
The scene shook my heart. Finally, I accepted Ray's proposal with a brief nod. Ray placed the ring on my finger.
"Naina, this ring looks so beautiful on your hand!" he exclaimed in awe, then stood up again.
Although I felt happiness, there was a hint of sadness creeping into my heart. I felt guilty seeing Ray's sincerity. After all, I was marrying him just to escape from Redrick. "Ray, forgive me. I agreed for certain reasons. I want to free myself from my relationship with Redrick. It's not fair to you, Ray. If someday you ..." I paused as Ray placed his finger on my lips.
Ray gently said, "Naina, it's okay. I don't mind. We will start afresh. You don't need to worry about anything and entrust everything to me." His answer made me feel warm and comfortable with the protection Ray provided.
Ray ....
"Darling, now! Let's go!" Ray suddenly exclaimed with excitement radiating from his face. His expression was full of enthusiasm and happiness, his sparkling eyes indicating that something special was happening.
"Eh? Where are we going?" I asked, surprised and curious about his plan. My face was filled with curiosity as I looked at Ray's cheerful expression.
"I want to take you somewhere, Naina. Let's go!" Ray opened the car door with excitement and invited me to get in. Smiling, I stepped into the car, feeling the vibration of excitement within me.
As the car drove, my gaze began to recognize the direction Ray was taking. My heart started pounding because I knew the destination of this journey. Eh? Isn't this ... This.
We were heading towards the beach, the place where we first met. In this place, there are sweet memories of me and Ray, the silly moments of our first encounter.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and enthusiasm, and recalling that silly moment made me unconsciously smile. Then I looked at Ray, feeling relieved. Ray also returned my smile, his face radiant with the same happiness.
His smile was sweet, and I was instantly captivated by his eyes. He was so handsome, not only his face but also his beautiful and calming demeanor. My heart trembled in his presence.
Oh God, is there any human being as handsome and kind as him? He shines so brightly, could he be an angel you sent to comfort the bitterness in my heart? I whispered to myself.
Enchanted, I daydreamed for a moment, letting my thoughts wander amidst these beautiful feelings. I pondered how lucky I am to have Ray by my side, a person who appeared out of nowhere. He came into my shattered life and slowly healed me, making my heart feel warm.
As I was entranced by him, I heard Ray's voice breaking my reverie, "Naina, do you also recognize this direction? Are you guessing something?" Ray asked with a cheerful smile on his face.
I smiled and nodded, expressing that I recognized this place.
Bremmm ...
The car came to a stop at the beach, indicating that we had arrived at our destination.
Arriving at the beach, the beauty of nature dazzled our eyes. The sky radiated stunning colors, creating a mesmerizing scene as the sunlight crept over the water.
The vast expanse of white sand lay before us, irresistibly inviting us to step on it. Ray and I got out of the car with cautious steps, allowing the refreshing sea breeze to caress our faces. I could feel the gentle touch of sand between my fingers as I walked towards the beach, evoking beautiful memories of when we first met on this beach.
That ... Quite a silly encounter!
"Isn't it amazing, Naina?"
"Mhm, it's amazing, Ray," I stretched out my hand.
Amidst the roaring waves gently crashing on the shoreline, there was a magical atmosphere filling the air. Ray and I stood side by side, gazing towards the serene sea. Our facial expressions radiated joy and longing. Smiles graced our lips, expressing the unspoken feelings of love and togetherness.
Comforting ...
In that comfort, I pondered, "Was I really so miserable before? Is that why I feel this sense of ease after being free from Redrick?"
