A Picture Of Father And Daughter!
A Picture Of Father And Daughter!
Scarlett's towel released from her body and fell to the ground as she opened her closet door. She was pleased with the outcome of the red water. She had no idea something like that was even possible in this world. A healing water. A revival water. She chuckled softly and shook her head. Scarlett reached for the pink sweatshirt that was staring at her. She removed the cloth from the hanger and examined herself in the mirror. She wasn't going anywhere, but she wanted to look nice. Perhaps go to the ice cream shop for ice cream later with Mia and her friends.
Scarlett sighed as she remembered what Belly had told her the day before. October will be back tomorrow. How would she live her werewolf life if her mother was present? She groaned slightly as she turned around. Scarlett's heart nearly dropped from her chest as she was taken aback by who she saw. "You scared me." She took a breather.
"Hello, Wifey." Simon smiled at the sight of her naked body. "You look terrific."
Scarlett knelt to retrieve her towel from the ground. She wrapped it around her chest. "How long have you been standing there, staring at me?" She moved closer to him.
"Not long at all. Just don't think the pink sweatshirt is to your liking." He crept into her room and drew her closer to him. He pressed his lips against hers.
Scarlett let go and locked her gaze with his. "What exactly are you doing here?" She gave a gentle smile. "I miss you. But there was no way of seeing you."
"Well, you no longer need to miss me because I'm here to take you with me."
Scarlett was bewildered. "Take me with you?"
"Home, Scarlett. I've come to take you home." He tucked the hair that was clinging to her face behind her ears. He could now see her face clearly. "Everything has been resolved. Uncle Viggo was laid to rest this morning."
"Oh. I was thinking about that. Raven hasn't said anything to me since that day. I'd like to spend some time with you as well, but my mother will return tomorrow."
Simon searched her eyes. "Didn't you say she'd be gone a month?"
"I was surprised when she told my sister she'd be back early." Scarlett left his side and returned to her closet. "What do you think about this one?" She displayed a short black gown to him.
Simon shook his head. "Your red hair is so lovely that we want you to shine even brighter. The black gown would only make you appear dim." He rummaged through her closet and discovered a yellow top. "I think I like this one."
"But it's quite thin. There's a lot of cold out there."
"Scarlett, you are a werewolf. You don't feel cold. Come on. If you need fur, I can cover you with mine."
Scarlett blushed as she took the top from him. "You are so good with words." She wore the top and picked up her pants from the bed. Scarlett was dressed in no time. When she was finished, she turned to face Simon. "Let's get the hell out of here," she said.
They started their walk right from the woods. When Scarlett suggested taking the car, Simon decided against it. He wanted to spend the rest of the hours holding her hands and keeping her close to him. They chuckled their way to the nearest tree, hand in hand. Scarlett was taken aback by what she was seeing. She came to a halt and looked at him.
"No, you didn't." She was stunned.
Simon nodded. "I was hoping to see a smile on your face. Raven's actions or what you witnessed were not your fault. It was a battle between two werewolves."
"You did so good, Simon. I mean...a picnic?" She gasped as she ran toward the tree. "This is lovely, Simon. Thank you for attempting to make me smile." She wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed him. "I love you so much, Simon." Scarlett said as soon as she let go of his lips.
Simon held her hand and assisted her in sitting on the sheet that had been laid on the floor. He took a seat across from her. "I'm glad you're smiling, Scarlett. I love you, too," he said as he opened the picnic basket. "Now tell me, do you like strawberries?"
Scarlett took a deep breath. "I love it." As she watched Simom dip the strawberry into a bowl of chocolate, she couldn't help but smile. It was as if she was seeing a different person in front of her. As she watched him feed her the strawberry, Scarlett couldn't help but think as she chewed. Should she really be bothered about the bad luck, or was it something that wasn't true at all?
She kept a smile on her face as Simon looked at her. Even if they were a mix of real and fake, she kept smiling. She fed him some of the fruit, and they couldn't keep their hands off each other. On that floor, they kissed and played romantically.
Scarlett was awakened by the sound of an owl. She stared at Simon, who caught her gaze. "You are awake." Simon said.
Scarlett lifted her head from his lap and stretched her body. "How long have I been sleeping?"
"Oh. You were so tired after our lovemaking that you didn't even notice when you fell asleep."
Scarlett took out her phone to check the time. She gasped. "You could have jolted me awake. It is late already."
"I wanted you to sleep, Scarlett."
Scarlett rose to her feet. "We have to go. Unless you want to stay the night."
He gave a sly grin. "That won't be so bad."
Scarlett scoffed as she dragged him to his feet. "Let's go." She packed the basket along with the sheet. Simon offered to carry it as he took them from her. He also held Scarlett close to him as they walked home, his hand around her shoulder.
Once the mansion was visible to them, Simon released her hand and walked to the door. He opened the door and glanced at her. "Ladies first," he said.
"Thank you." Scarlett softly chuckled as she entered the house.
"You should go inside and take a bath. Spending one more night together won't be bad, right?"
Scarlett shook her head. "No. It won't." She kissed him on the lips. Simon's voice stopped her as she turned to walk away.
"Wait," Simon said. Scarlett shifted her gaze back to him. "Before I forget, I'd like to show you something."
Scarlett searched his eyes. "What is that?" She wondered.
"Just wait here. I'll be right back." Simon joyfully made his way to the stairs. He dashed to his safe the moment he opened the door to his old room. He took a deep breath as he inserted the pin. He opened the safe after it had been unlocked.
Simon had always wanted to give her what was rightfully hers after taking it the night she was bitten, but he didn't have the opportunity. When he took the phone and handkerchief from his safe, his smile brightened. He took a look at the two objects in his hands. He rose to his feet.
Scarlett would be overjoyed to learn that her phone was never lost, but was instead with him the entire time. Simon was about to leave his room when something fell to the ground. It appeared to have fallen from the back of her phone.
He came to a halt as he examined what appeared to be a thick piece of paper. He knelt to pick up the thick paper. Turning it over revealed a picture of Scarlett with a man rather than a blank page. They looked happy. The more Simon looked at him, the more familiar his face became. He then noticed the writing at the bottom of the image. "Love you, daddy." Written boldly and small.
Simon's jaw dropped as he suddenly lost his balance. When he suddenly remembered who the man was, his heart began to race. The hunter he had killed. As he tried to breathe, he squeezed the paper tightly in his hands. He scowled and slammed the phone down on the table, letting out a low growl.
Scarlett's father was the hunter who killed his parents?
