A disturbing decision

A disturbing decision
"What do you think, Luna Katherina? she asked, referring to Alpha Xander's mother by her name. She was still trying to get out of shock. Beta Khan clenched his fists together, trying to control himself. His eyes met Alpha Xander's, and he asked him not to accept by shaking his head negatively. Beta Khan took a deep breath.

"Alpha Xander, no matter how you try to stop me, I will save you with my last breath. I started this and I must finish it, because your respect is mine" he thought as he chuckled.

"If that's what you want, I accept. Luna Katherine, I am ready to accept her with her child. Even though we never planned this, I still think I should take the responsibility." He turned to Luna Katherina, and she smirked sadly. Maybe she made a mistake in the past by trying to get Benita married to Alpha Xander. Benita was so shocked that she tried to calm down and not explode. She never thought he'd accept this; all her thoughts were that he'd say the truth and decline this.

"Since he agreed with this, I guess you should announce this; you both can decide on which date to do this, and I will make sure to send the invitation for this to the whole pack and the Alpha of the other packs to bless the union between you both" Luna Katherina said as she walked out of the living room. Cassandra hissed and walked away angrily. Alpha Xander was confused and feeling some guilt. How selfish can he be when his beta is sacrificing everything for him?

"I can't believe you both; I never knew you really wanted to push me away this far." She rushed out of the palace angrily..

"Khan, why did you do this? You shouldn't have gone too far." Alpha Xander said with teary eyes that it took the grace of God for the tears not to fall down his cheek. Beta Khan walked up to him.

"I told you I gat you in all this; I can deal with her. Moreover, we don't know if she's really pregnant or just pretending. My loyalty to you matters." He pulled him into a manly hug with a lot of emotion.

"You shouldn't get too emotional; it's time for you to go out for Octovia. It's time to mark Octovia; you have to do that soon before she has anything with him. You know they can't have anything together if you mark her; go for Octovia while I handle Benita." He reassured him, and he smirked.

"How about Sandra? Are you giving up on her?" He asked, and he smiled.

"I have already done that before now; we stopped talking, and moreover, I am not in love with her. I will get fine as long as you're fine" He tapped his shoulder.

"That's a lie; you love her. I haven't seen you running after a lady the way you did the other day. It's obvious you don't want to accept this sooner. There's still time for us to we retrace" Alpha Xander said, gritting his teeth regretfully.

"We have already run out of time; there's nothing to retrace; we are going to pick it up from here and watch out for the future by being extraordinarily careful. Sandra's over me for good, and we shall walk past this. Just trust me, they are going to be okay." He gulps down nothing, his heart heavy but not ready to feel regret. Alpha Xander is worth more than this.

"Why don't we sober up instead? Alpha Xander suggested.

"I guess you are right, but this time we are making sure the door is locked. We can't take any risk in the future" Beta Khan said, and they both laughed as they both walked towards the Alpha Xander room.

Sandra was sitting alone, lost in thought, and she didn't notice when Octovia and Khalid got to her side. Octovia tapped her as she snapped out of her thoughts. "Are you here? When did you get here? What's up?" she asked, trying to come back to her right state of mind.

"I am the one that's supposed to be asking that question, not the other way round. Tell me what's bothering you. I noticed you've been down since morning, and you've not been paying attention in class earlier. What's going on?" she asked, shifting close to her.

"It's nothing; I just didn't wake up in the right mood today. I am sorry." She said she gulped down nothing, exhaling frequently.

"Do you realize you've breathed many times? Commonly,  stop trying to hide your worries. I know you are being bothersome after the news of Beta Khan getting married to Benita" Octovia said, and tears streamed down her eyes. She pulled her into a hug.

"I am sorry. I thought I was over him, but I never realized I am still deeply in love with him, and now he's getting married to the girl who claimed to love Alpha Xander. How could that be possible?" She cried on her shoulder.

"Cassandra told me everything when I went to the library" Khalid said, and they both looked at him at once.

"When did you both start talking?" Octovia asked, her eyes changing.

"Common, we aren't talking; she just insisted I listen.I never wanted to do this but I had to, just to know the reason for the decision Beta Khan had made to get married to her":Khalid defended himself from the angry-looking ladies. Octovia gulped down her lumps and scoffed.

"Better, so what did she tell you?" Octovia asked.

"She said Benita is pregnant with his child after they had a nightstand, and she also stated that she's trying to push the pregnancy to Alpha Xander, but Beta Khan refused and showed proof that they were together that day. So she asked Beta Khan to marry her, and he agreed without thinking about it" Khalid explained and scoffed.

"Gosh, that's so ridiculous" Octovia cussed, while Sandra rubbed her lap, trying to contain her anger.

"I don't know why I am doubting this, Beta Khan. Is he not the type of guy who flirts around girls like that? So there's something fishy, but I still think Sandra should see him and talk to him"Khalid tried to reason like a man.

"Meet him after he impregnated another lady, and they are even getting married. So why was he pretending to care about her? He just stopped and wanted to continue with his life just like that." Octovia flared up in anger, which is why Sandra only tried to hold on to her tears.

"Common, babe, things might not be as you think. I can't just jump to conclusions. Except from the fact that he belongs to the royals, I don't see him like any bad guy" Khalid said as he was in support of him, but Octovia gave him an eyeroll.

"So are you trying to tell me that you can impregnate another lady and tell me you have an explanation, and you think I will just let this slide? Octovia asked, being dramatic.

"Can you stop being dramatic here? Why would you think I would do such a thing? I am just not trying to jump to conclusions without getting to the root of things. The only thing we can do to help them right now is make sure she sees him. Don't piss me off." He said it angrily, his voice sounding harsh. He left without saying any more words.

"You know you shouldn't have said that to him; it's just like you are querying his loyalty. Khalid isn't a guy like that; you should know he loves you a lot. I think you should go and apologize to him" Sandra advised with her voice low.

"I think he needs the space for now; let him get angry the way he wants; I will apologize later. I didn't mean to say that, but I was just angry that he was supporting him instead of supporting you as our friend's" she said, holding her hand.

"Maybe he's saying the truth; we should hear it from the horse's mouth. It's not a good thing to jump to conclusions like that. Maybe things wouldn't have gotten to this if I had accepted his apology when he was trying to make it right. I was doubtful that he wanted to use me, but now I am so angry with myself. Don't make the same mistake." He tapped her on the shoulder, and she nodded her head in reply.

"You are right; I shouldn't have said those words to him. I am very sorry for that. I will set things right," Octovia pouted.

"Do you think I should go and see him tonight? Maybe I can let go of all these emotions after seeing him, she asked Octovia, but she was confused as what answer to give her.
