"Are we good, or you still aren't going to tell me who sent you?" he threatened. But she was so stubborn and not ready to give in to his threat.

"I still wouldn't believe you would hurt me. You and your so called Alpha are the weakest I have ever seen" she said, laughing hysterically. Beta Khan was so angry and slabbed on her right hand, causing her to wince in pain.

"Do you still think we are weak? Because I was trying to be merciful, that doesn't mean I'm weak. Remember, we are the ones who are protecting everyone in this pack. Do you know how many wars I have gone to see trying protect everyone's in this pack? Yet you called us weak." He gripped her tightly.

"I am leaving you now; if you refuse to speak up when I am back, you will meet your end. You have the guts to get into this palace and think you can escape just like that" Beta Khan said, standing up with rage-filled eyes. He pushed her to the ground.

"Whip her 20 strokes of the lashes and throw her back into the cell" he commanded, making his way out.



Mrs. Smith was worried and thinking about her daughter. She has been staying in the palace as agreed before they went on the journey. All she asked was for her daughter and the Alpha mother to come back alive, while Khalid was always around to pacify her.

", It's been two days already; today is finally dau. They must be back before the new Moon tomorrow" she said, worriedly.

"You don't have to worry. They will be fine. I trust Octovia with this" he said to make her feel better.

"I don't want you to bother yourself; I would be fine. I just want to think about her. I really to miss her" she said, getting teary eyes.


"Who are you missing? Do you really miss me? I was just away for a few hours, and you already miss me. That's good to hear. Well,  I bought your favorite dishes. Assorted cow meat" Sandra said, coming inside with shopping bags. Mrs. Smith smiled.

"Did you really go shopping when Octovia is lying there?" Khalid said, taking it a little personal.

"Weldon, boyfriend, you want us to starve her to death all because Octovia wasn't here. Even Octovia will be happy to see her eating assorted cow meat" she hissed..

"But what will she eat over there? I am so stupid that I should have packaged so much meat for her. Anyway, she might see a restaurant and eat enough meat there. Who knows if they would taste as good as what they sell here? Mrs. Smith,I bought you energy drink; Octovia would be back tomorrow, so I want you to gain more strength," She said and brought out a can of energy drink. Khalid smiled, seeing how she was trying to make Mrs. Smith smile.

"How do you know so many tricks to get someone to fall into traps? I can't deny that fact, you know" she said, smiling.

"You, I knew I was supposed to be an actress" she replied jokingly.

"So what happened?" Mrs. Smith asked.

"Unseriousness and lack of determination happened" Khalid replied, and Sandra gave him an eyeroll.

Well, he's right; I gave in Because I'm an Omega. So I felt like I couldn't fit in because of the way I get bullied. You know how it could be for an Omega. Not until I met a real person, the person who cares so much about everyone and wants to protect me at any cost, she said with a smile.

"Who's that person? Is it a guy?" Mrs. Smith asked, and she nodded negatively.

"That's Octovia; she's the sweetest soul I have even met." You see, this is your son-in-law I was only friends with him by chance, and Octovia had to convince him I am a good person" she said, giving Khalid any eyeroll.

"But you are never a good person. You went to the mall and didn't bother getting me something; don't you know that with this Octovia, he would be happy for you? How can she be happy with you when you want to starve her boyfriend to death? Khalid said, and Mrs. Smith burst into laughter.

"Aren't you the one who just said I went out to shop while Octovia isn't around? she asked, laughing mockingly.

"Yes, I was right. But do both forget you also said we should gain more weight before she comes back; she won't be happy to see us starving, Khalid scoffed,making them laugh harder.

"So you can't even go on fasting for your girlfriend. And moreover, I didn't mention we; I was referring to her." She winked at him, and Mrs. Smith chuckled as Sandra dished out the meat for her. Khalid, who was starting, tried not to look at it but couldn't. Mrs. Smith offered to go eat with him, and he agreed instantly. They ate as Sandra wouldn't stop cracking jokes, making them forget their sorrows.

"Why aren't you eating from it?" She asked Sandra.

Well, I eat enough at the restaurant," she said, and she nodded in reply. meat. Doing that beautiful moment when Alpha Xander and his Beta come inside because the door wasn't locked.

'Oh, sorry, I guess I didn't disturb the beautiful scenery," He asked, and everyone nodded negatively except Khalid.

"No, Alpha Xander, I guess we're cool" she replied and asked them to sit. They settled down, and Alpha Xander scoffed.

Sandra started scratching her head seeing Beta Khan; she kept stealing a glance at him, yet he wasn't aware. Sandra suddenly held her stomach, trying to prevent anyone from seeing her, and decided to hold the pain. When she couldn't hold it anymore, she groaned in pain as she rushed to the bathroom, making everyone wonder what just happened.

"Is she Okay?" Beta Khan asked.

I don't know if you are worried either. You should check in. But do well to knock before barging in," Mrs. Smith said. He nodded negatively and sat back.
