Chapter 27 they destroyed me

Chapter 27 they destroyed me
Bernard’s P.O.V.

“Damn it.” I cursed while throwing everything down on the table in a fit of rage. My blood was boiling so hard in my veins that it was ready to burst my veins at any time.
“That damn rogue. How dare he humiliate me?” I screamed at the top of my lungs while throwing things here and there, destroying my office.
Not only I, but also my wolf, Rock, was seething in anger.
“He has the audacity to show me his canines. He forgot that I am still an alpha and he is nothing but a damn, filthy rogue.” I continued screaming while swiping everything that came in the range of my eyesight.
I continued thrashing everything, venting my anger on those things. Ever since the day, my uncle, the great king Alexander Thorne woke up and found Amelia gone, my life went straight down the hill and became worse than hell.
I planned everything well. I even filmed what he did to Amelia, but to my dismay, he continued swearing about destroying me while assaulting her over and over until he collapsed from exhaustion.
I still remember watching them through the cameras and hearing him cursing me and promising her that he would avenge her.
The drug was supposed to erase his memories of that incident, but he remembered everything.
True to his word, he stripped me of my title and also forced my family to disown me completely. No one dared to defy his command not to utter a single word about what I did the last night.
He killed Asher for drugging him, and I don’t know how he found out that it was Asher who brought the wolfsbane that we injected into Amelia.
I was left with nothing but two million of my own savings. Everyone walked over me because of him, and now a mere rogue also showed his canines on me.
Me…… An alpha blood…..
“AAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” I kicked the table so hard that it slid away, rattling hard in the process.
“How dare he?” I screamed at the top of my lungs, digging my nails inside my palms.
Blood dripped down my fingers, but I felt no pain, only the burning of the humiliation.
“Calm down, Alpha. Anger never lets us think clearly and straight.” My assistant, Asher’s younger brother, Dixon, spoke to me in a timid voice.
“Shut up, you useless mutt. It has been three years that you have been working as my assistant, but what benefits have you brought to me?” I yelled at him, venting my anger on him.
He immediately shrieked away in fear, shrinking his shoulders to hide his neck.
I pointed a finger towards him while taking an aggressive step towards him, making him stagger backward in fear.
“You….. you and your whole family are nothing but leeches. It was your whoe sister who seduced me, poisoning my mind with her sweet words that I should throw that filthy omega in front of the king, getting leverage on him instead of killing her directly.”
I was now heaving badly because of all the bottled-up frustration and anger in my chest.
“It was your deadbeat brother who devised everything to destroy that filthy omega of my mate. Because of your family, I am completely destroyed.” I roared aloud, fuelled by Rock’s anger too.
Three years ago, Dixon came to me. He was a fresh graduate with no source of income. After Asher’s death, his sister, Celia, ran away with her fated mate, leaving Dixon and their parents alone.
I took pity on Dixon and appointed him as my assistant, hoping that he would have some of the intelligence of his brother, but he was as useless as his dead brother was.
“Spare my life, Alpha. You know very well that I will never do anything to harm you.” he pleaded for mercy, falling on his knees without any hesitation.
I growled and moved in the other direction, running my fingers into my hair, my other hand resting on my waist.
Even though Marcus Smith was a rogue, he built up a successful business empire in the past three years when he started everything from scratch.
I heard that his company was looking for suppliers in various regions. It was a good opportunity for me, but I didn’t know that Amelia would become a hurdle in my life once again.
Marcus and his whole team hate me because of Amelia.
“It was a chance for us to rise, Dixon. We need more clients to run our business. He not only banned me from his companies but also from other companies run by rogues from his group,” I muttered angrily, frustrated and helpless.
“I … I beg for mercy, Alpha, b…. but I got the news that a team of Marcus’ representatives had a meeting with the king and the council this morning. They proposed to get the approval to form a pack.” I snapped my head in Dixon’s direction while widening my eyes in shock.
“What did you say?” I asked him, shocked and doubtful that I heard right.
“I am telling you the truth, Alpha. The king also posted a declaration on the royal forum, stating that the Night Raven Rogue group is under his protection.” He told me while taking his phone out of his pocket.
His hands were trembling hard, but he succeeded in getting his phone out.
I marched towards him and snatched his phone from his hands.
He shrieked but immediately muffled his voice.
I opened his phone and looked for the royal forum.
My eyes widened in shock when I saw the declaration, pinned at the top.
“The king is still looking for that omega, right?” he asked timidly, but I read the declaration.
Marcus really applied for the approval to form a pack with all his people?
“You said that Marcus told you that it was him who took Amelia away after you threw her out of the pack.” Dixon spoke slowly and cautiously.
I slowly craned my neck towards him, narrowing my eyes. He was still looking at me fearfully.
“What are you trying to say?” I asked him in a stiff voice.
He gulped hard in fear. I waited for him to speak again, but my patience was already thin.
“Marcus said t… that she was already dead when he found her, but what if the people learn th… that he took her away when she was still alive, a…. and did something to her? After all, he was still a rogue at that time, and rogues can’t be trusted, right?”
I bore my gaze on him, making him take a step backward in fear and lower his eyelashes, but I had already seen the malicious intent in his eyes when he spat out that plan.
He was more cunning and ruthless than his brother but knew how to keep the façade of innocence in front of the world.
But he couldn’t hide it from me.
“What do you think will happen if the king hears those rumors?” I asked him calmly this time, a plan to avenge myself already forming in my head.
