ARIA'S DISAPPEARANCE
ARIA'S DISAPPEARANCE
The full moon began to rise. Aria was sitting in the middle of the room, legs crossed and eyes closed, muttering the incantation.
The wind blew from the east to the west. The windows rattled, and the flames of the candles surrounding her flickered wildly. The once calm room shifted into something darker—ominous. The shadows grew longer, dancing like spirits waiting to be released.
Everywhere became dark as Aria began ascending slowly from the ground. Her hair lifted with the air around her, her body glowing faintly with a pale, bluish aura. Her lips continued to chant the incantation with steady rhythm. Her voice no longer sounded like her own—it was layered, ancient, echoing in the silence.
A golden mark burned brightly on her chest, then slowly began to fade, dissolving like dust into the air. The bond… was cloaking.
The red rope that bound them together began to fade; it didn't disappear completely.
Damien's thoughts and imagination were replaced, and all he could think about was giving Aria the space she deserved.
The journal floated open beside her, the once-blank pages now filling with ink, as though invisible hands were writing the truth she had long searched for.
It wrote an address that was very unfamiliar to Aria. It was where she was rejected by Dominic before she escaped.
The formula was working. She was doing great. For a slight moment, Aria feared that the formula might bounce back on her.
Each symbol placed around her lit up in sequence, one after the other—first red, then white, then black. Smoke rose from the floor beneath her, but it wasn't ordinary smoke—it carried visions. Glimpses. Flashes of scattered memories, people, and places.
She moved her head with the things she saw, but that was just the beginning. The main formula was about to start.
Her head jerked backward as a scream escaped her lips, but she didn’t stop. The ritual demanded pain—it takes the same pain, sometimes double, to hide from your alpha.
Sometimes it depended on how strong the alpha was. In Aria’s case, Damien wasn't a pushover, so it was going to be tough.
The pain grew. The wind began blowing stronger. The sky got really dark. The light from the symbols joined together and made their way through to her soul.
Aria screamed out loud as the pain grew intense. It kept rushing in, and Aria kept screaming.
Finally, as the last word left her mouth, the room fell completely still. The candles blew out at once, the journal dropped to the floor, and Aria landed softly on her feet.
The bond was cloaked.
Damien wasn't going to monitor or notice her anymore, but this formula had its time limit.
The lights turned on, the windows closed, and the curtains dropped while Aria tried arranging her room.
Damien, who was fast asleep, woke up almost immediately after the ritual. He felt a strange emptiness in his chest, like a missing piece he hadn’t noticed was gone until now—but he couldn’t explain it. He paced his room restlessly, unaware that the very link tying Aria to him had been veiled.
“What is this feeling?” he muttered.
He had never felt that way before. He felt like he was incomplete, but his mind never went to Aria. He laid down on his bed to see if the feeling was the same, and he dozed off.
He still felt the same way. He shoved it off when he couldn't find a tangible answer to his feelings.
Aria sat down on her bed and looked at the things that were written in the journal. She saw the address and decided to leave that night.
She wished her mission wouldn't get interrupted this time. She really needed to know the answers to all her hidden questions.
“I hope this will be my final answer-hunting journey,” she said.
Back in the house, Aria quickly packed a few essentials—her journal, a dagger, the remaining ingredients of the formula, and a map she had pieced together from her visions.
She carried a few clothes in case the journey extended to days. She was ready to risk everything for this chance.
“Maybe this is the only chance I have to find out the truth,” she muttered.
She didn’t leave a note. She couldn’t risk it.
She stepped into the night, cloaked and hooded, her scent hidden, her energy masked.
“I need more answers,” she whispered. “The truth isn’t here.”
She made her way to the edge of town, past the enchanted trees, down to the creek that no one dared cross. Her boots touched the water, and a ripple of light surged beneath her.
A hidden path revealed itself.
With a final glance behind her, Aria crossed into the unknown.
The morning broke bright and beautiful, with a sense of unsettling hope and truth. Damien got up, planning on being on his best behavior towards Aria.
He went downstairs, cleaned everything, and prepared Aria’s favorite meal for breakfast.
He set the table and arranged the meals on it, then headed upstairs to call Aria.
He knocked on her room door, but no one answered. He knocked continuously, but no one came out.
He hurriedly opened the door and walked in, but he couldn't find her. He rushed to her bathroom, but she wasn't there.
“Aria! Aria!” he called out.
He called her, but her number wasn't going through.
“Oh my God! Where did she go?” he panicked.
He tried using their bond to get to her, but it wasn't working.
“Fuck!” he yelled out.
“Why would she do this? What on earth is wrong with this girl?” he muttered.
He went back to her room, searching for a clue of where she might have disappeared to, but she didn’t leave anything.
Damien tapped his forehead and sighed.
“I'm finished,” he cried out.
It dawned on him that she was really gone this time. She had already disappeared without a trace.
And this time… not even the bond could lead him to her.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh” he screamed
He didn't care about revenge anymore all he wanted was to know where Aria was and how she was faring.
He thought of calling Damien but that would be a useless idea, he picked his phone and decided to call Caleb instead.
“ Hello,” Caleb said over the phone.
“Where's Aria? Have you seen her or talked to her lately?” Damien fired
“ Okay, calm down, what do you mean by" have I seen Aria? " She is always with you” he said
“ Don't tell my brother this, Aria is missing and this time we might not be able to find her” Damien replied.
But it was too late for Caleb to cover up that lie cause Dominic appeared right beside him the moment he heard Aria's name.
Dominic grabbed the phone from Caleb, “ And what do you mean Aria's missing mr protector?” He asked
He sighed, “ Have you seen what your greed and stupidity has caused” Dominic snapped but Damien hung up.
He wasn't ready to exchange words with his unreasonable brother, “ Search every corner of the city, make sure no place is left unscathed” Dominic snarled
He turned to Caleb, “ Use any technology possible to track her down and make sure you find her, Damien can't find her before I do” he snapped.
For a moment, he was thankful that Aria had gone missing but he was sad too that she was missing, “ where might she be?” He thought.
Aria had lived with him for years but he didn't know what she likes and where she likes going.
Damien at the other end wasn't sitting idle, he spread his men everywhere In the city and the neighbouring city.
He contacted
people outside the states if by chance, she decided to travel out of the state but everything was futile.
Nobody knew where Aria was.
