AUDREY'S POV.
"I'm sorry, I was just too surprised with his change of mood to scream for help" I apologized to Kiara who was tending to my wound but refused to talk to me.
"He could have killed you, he's uncontrollable when he's angry. Don't you understand what I'm saying? His anger is worse than Melvin's! " she yelled as she looked away from me and she stood up after dressing my wound carefully but it hurts badly, the wound stings and I couldn't feel my hand and leg anymore.
" I'm sorry. I never know that he had such a mad anger, I'll stay away from him from now on"
" No! don't do that! I'm just telling you to be careful not to make him that angry again, I might not be there to help you" she breathed out.
" Why are you telling me not to avoid him? the best thing to do at the moment to prevent this kind of incident from happening is avoiding him forever" I said as I groaned in pain.
" You're the first person he became close to after that incident. He might actually like you but he's trying to deny his true feelings because he became friends with you to spite Mervin. He might have changed over the years but I still know him more than anyone around here"
" What makes you think so? "
" He could have killed you before I got here but he was able to control himself a bit, he's the gentlest soul I have ever known and he can be as angry as a wounded lion. He's the real definition of unpredictable"
" I want to help him and Melvin settle their differences, the love between them is noticable but they're just hiding it beneath this anger that might even be uncalled for. What were they like before that incident that happened? "
" They were almost unseperable, they did everything together, they eat from the same plate, they sleep in the same room, they played together. I envied their bond because they only play with me some times, they were always together and I felt left out. You don't know how glad I am that you're here, I just hope that you won't leave anytime soon because of my brother uncalled and unjustified hatred for you" she muttered sadly.
" Awwn, I was planning on running away from this place before but I promise that I won't do that because of you. You didn't answer my question, what were they like? "
" Ohh, that's right. Melvin was a funny guy that knows how to use his words on anyone, that one of the reasons father made him the future alpha even though Elvin is older than him. He loved me so much even though he hadly say it and always denies it strongly as if it was a great sin but he showed it unknownly and it was always so emotionally. Elvin has always been the reserved one who can be dangerous when you step on his tail, he holds grudges a lot and father hated him for that bad habit, he tried to correct Elvin several times but Elvin became worse after the incident that happened between him and Melvin years ago and he stopped training after he found out father made Melvin the future alpha. He became weak and vulnerable, he spent month training with the sword after he got over that incident but he wasn't as good as he was, and he was okay with it. Father was enraged because he didn't want a weakling as a son" she paused and stared at me with a sad smile.
" Elvin tried to kill Melvin publicly and privately, it was like a dream to everyone because we all knew how much Elvin has always loved and protected Melvin even though Melvin had always been stronger than him. Father threw Elvin in the darkest dungeon for a month as a punishment for his stupid actions, no one ever expected that punishment because everyone knew how much after has always adored and loved Elvin. Elvin has the heart of a monster that needs a lot of taming and patient, I knew that he was waiting for the right time to strike when he became quite and distant since the day he came out of that dungeon" she cried and I held her hand woke crying bitterly.
" Did anyone asked them what happened? "
" We did! several times! countless times! but the both of the never say a word, all they do whenever we ask them is to cry their eyes out and we had to stop it when it was getting too much"
" Elvin does not have a heart of a monster I've seen what he's like! he could have killed me tonight but he didn't because there's still a heart crying for love, a heart crying to be healed, a voice crying to be heard! I'm sure that Melvin did something terrible and devastating to him, you said it that he's the reserved one that hold grudges. Do you think that it'll be easy for him to just say the things he's going through? just like that! have you ever been betrayed by someone you love so much? I guess not! if you have been betrayed by someone you love so much you won't say that he has a heart of a monster when you don't even now what he's going through! "I yelled.
" I'm sorry but.. " she trailed off in embarrassment.
"You should try to get closer to him, I'm sure that he wants that even though he tries to deny it. Stop seeing him like a monster, he's your brother" I said as I held her hand gently smiling at her.
"Thanks so much, Audrey. I have never thought of this, I'll work on what you told me tomorrow unfailingly. Can I sleep here with you, pretty please" she begged staring at me with a cute puppy eyes
"Of course, I'll just go see Elvin, I have to make sure that he doesn't blame himself for what happened tonight" I muttered before I walked out of my room in pain and gently heading to Elvin room.
