Chapter 121 0121
Chapter 121 0121
It had been several days since Zane disappeared, yet there was still no sign of him anywhere. The entire Silver Pack had fallen into fear and sadness because of the missing child. Guards searched day and night, warriors rode out beyond the borders, and Asher himself barely slept anymore, but Zane was nowhere to be found. Mira had completely fallen sick from worry and heartbreak. She barely ate, barely spoke, and spent most of her time crying inside her room while holding Zane’s small clothes tightly against her chest. Her once beautiful face had become pale and weak, and the sight of her suffering only made Mila secretly happier inside. While everyone else mourned and worried for Zane, Mila saw it as the beginning of her victory. To her, the child was already gone forever, and now the only person left standing in her way was Mira.
For the past few days, Mila had been thinking deeply of how to remove Mira from Asher’s life forever. She had already realized one thing clearly: Asher would never send Mira away, no matter what happened. Even with Zane gone, his love for Mira only seemed to grow stronger. The way he stayed beside her room every night, the way he comforted her, and the anger he carried because of her pain made Mila burn with jealousy every single moment. She could no longer endure seeing Asher care for another woman. That was why she decided to return to the forest once again to seek help from the old witch.
Early that evening, Mila covered herself carefully with a dark scarf before secretly leaving the pack house alone. The cold evening wind blew strongly around her as she made her way deeper into the dark forest. After walking for what felt like forever, she finally reached the small old hut hidden deep inside the forest. The hut looked even creepier than before. Dead vines covered the roof, strange bones hung at the entrance, and smoke slowly rose from the top of the hut into the dark sky. Mila slowly removed the scarf covering part of her face as she stood before the hut, her heart beating nervously inside her chest.
Moments later, the wooden door of the hut creaked open slowly, and Xavira stepped outside. Her long black hair fell over her shoulders, and her cold eyes stared directly at Mila without emotion. The young woman crossed her arms as she looked Mila up and down suspiciously.
“What are you doing here again?” Xavira asked coldly.
Mila swallowed nervously before quickly speaking. “I… I came to see your mother. Please let me in,” she said.
Without replying, Xavira simply stared at her for a few silent seconds before waving her hand slightly as a sign for Mila to follow her. Then she turned around and walked back inside the hut while Mila hurried after her. Mila’s eyes moved around the room, but she could not find the old witch anywhere. Confused, she turned toward Xavira, wanting to ask where her mother was.
Before she could even speak, a violent cold wind suddenly burst inside the hut from nowhere. The candles flickered wildly, and Mila almost lost her balance as she quickly grabbed onto a wooden table for support. Her hair blew around her face violently while fear filled her eyes. Then suddenly, loud, terrifying laughter echoed throughout the hut. Mila’s entire body tremble in fear. Slowly, the wind stopped, and when Mila looked forward again, the old witch was suddenly sitting on her wooden stool as if she had always been there.
“Luna Mila,” the old woman called in her deep raspy voice while smiling darkly.
Mila’s breathing became uneven from fear, but she quickly forced herself to calm down. “Please… I need your help,” Mila pleaded immediately. “Please help me one last time.”
The old witch stared deeply into Mila’s eyes for a long moment before letting out another low laugh. “You want to kill your sister,” she said calmly, as if she could read Mila’s thoughts without effort.
Mila’s eyes widened slightly before she nodded quickly. “Yes,” she admitted without hesitation. “Please help me. I promise that after this I will never bother you again. I just want Mira gone forever.”
The old witch slowly leaned back against her chair while smiling strangely. “Of course I will help you, Luna Mila,” she replied.
Hearing those words, happiness immediately filled Mila’s face. “Thank you,” she said excitedly.
The old witch slowly closed her eyes and began whispering strange spells under her breath. The room suddenly became colder, and the candles started burning brighter one after another. Mila stood there silently while watching the woman carefully. After several moments, the old witch suddenly stood up and turned her back toward Mila completely. Silence filled the hut again for a while before the old woman slowly turned back around to face her. But this time, her expression had become serious.
“Your sister is not ordinary,” the old witch said slowly. “Mira is powerful… and she is also a witch.”
Mila froze completely in shock. Her eyes widened so much that she almost forgot to breathe. “What?” she whispered in disbelief. “Mira… is a witch?”
Her mind immediately became filled with confusion and anger. How could Mira hide something like that for so many years? Why had no one ever known?
“But do not worry,” the old witch said, cutting through Mila’s thoughts. “I can still help you destroy her.”
Mila’s attention snapped back immediately as hope filled her eyes once more. The old witch turned around again, muttering another strange spell quietly under her breath. A few moments later, she slowly turned back toward Mila and opened her wrinkled hand. Resting on her palm was a small folded piece of paper glowing faintly under the candlelight.
“Take this,” the old witch instructed. “These are forbidden words. Stand before your sister, stare deeply into her eyes, and recite the spell exactly as written. Once the spell enters her body, it will destroy her powers from inside and slowly kill her.”
A wide wicked smile slowly appeared across Mila’s face as she stepped forward eagerly and took the paper carefully from the old witch’s hand. Her fingers trembled slightly with excitement while staring at it. Finally… finally she had the chance to get rid of Mira forever.
“Thank you so much,” Mila said happily, almost unable to hide the excitement in her voice.
The old witch suddenly threw her head back and burst into another loud, terrifying laugh that echoed throughout the entire hut, making the candles flicker wildly once again.
Mila’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she stared at the small paper in her hand. Her fingers tightened around it carefully as if it were the greatest treasure she had ever received. The thought that Mira was also a witch refused to leave her mind. She could not believe it. All these years they had lived together, and yet Mira had hidden something so huge from everyone.
“You must not make any mistake,” the old witch warned in a deep voice that echoed strangely inside the hut. “The spell will only work if she looks directly into your eyes while you say every word written on that paper. Once the spell enters her body, her powers will destroy her from within.”
Mila nodded immediately, her heart beating with excitement instead of fear. “I understand,” she said quickly. “I will do exactly as you said.”
The old witch let out another loud laugh that filled the entire hut. Mila carefully folded the paper and hid it inside her dress as if afraid someone might steal it from her. She already imagined the moment Mira would collapse before her. The thought alone filled her with satisfaction.
Mila bowed her head slightly before turning around and walking toward the door of the hut. The moment she stepped outside, the cold wind hit her face, causing her hair to blow wildly around her shoulders. Her lips slowly curved into a wicked smile. Soon, Mira would be gone forever. Soon, Asher would belong only to her again.
Without wasting another second, Mila covered her face with her scarf once more and quickly walked away.
