Adrian and Amelia were still engaged in their passionate kiss when Amelia suddenly came back to her senses, and without hesitating, she quickly pushed Adrian away.

"And what the hell did it look like we were doing?" Adrian asked her while smiling and licking his lips.
"No no, Adrian, we can't be doing this; this is a workplace, and it's very wrong to do something like this here," Amelia said to Adrian, who furrowed his brows at her while still smiling.
"Ooh, I never knew that; let's do it somewhere else then," Adrian said to Amelia, who shot him an angry glare.
"Adrian, are you even listening to what I'm saying? We are no longer together, so it's very wrong for us to be kissing or doing anything similar to that, and worst of all in the hospital where I work," Amelia said to Adrian.
"Ooh, is that what you meant? "Well, to me we are still together; you are the only one who thinks we are no longer together," Adrian said to Amelia, who glared angrily at him once again.
"Adrian, we are no longer together, and you know that. By the way, was this the reason why you bought this hospital, so that you can get me to indulge in your ungodly acts at my workplace?" Amelia asked Adrian with furrowed brows.
"Ungodly acts" is that what you call it, and yet you responded perfectly to it. I never knew you liked ungodly acts this much," Adrian said to Amelia with a mocking smile.
"Adrian, please stop it. You are trying to change the topic. Just answer my question: why did you buy this hospital?" Amelia asked Adrian as she folded her hand around her chest.
"Well, because I wanted to see you every day, since you are always on the run, I decided to be where you will always be, which is at your workplace. Are you now satisfied?" Adrian asked Amelia, who was still staring at him with a displeased facial expression.
"Yes, I'm satisfied. Now tell me, did you at least think of the effect your presence is going to have on me? How on earth am I going to focus on my work with you around trying to make advances on me whenever we meet?" Amelia asked Adrian with an inquisitive tone.
"And who said that I'm going to make advances on you whenever we meet? Believe me, if there's one thing I know how to do perfectly, it's knowing when to be professional and when not to be. I might have made some advances on you right now, but believe me, this is the last time; it's never going to happen again. What I said earlier about me not forcing myself on you still stands. I'm going to sit back and watch you come to me yourself; I will only give you the reasons to do so," Adrian said to Amelia, who scoffed at him.
"So you still believe that a time is coming when I'm going to get back to you myself?" Amelia asked Adrian with furrowed brows.
"Yes, of course," Adrian said to her with a confident tone.
"Well, just as I said earlier, I admire your confidence, but what you are thinking is never going to happen. There was a time you had your chance to be with me, but you blew it up, and just as they say, opportunity comes but once. Yours has come, and it's already gone, so no matter what you do, we are never going to get back together again, so please just move on with your life and stop complicating mine," Amelia said to Adrian with a straightforward tone.
"Well, you said that I had the chance to be with you, and I blew it up, and I think that you are absolutely right, and that's why I'm asking you to give me another chance. I know you want to, but your heart is telling you something else, and that's why I said that I'm going to give you a thousand reasons to give me another even if you don't want to, but if after giving you all the reasons to give me another chance you are still determined not to give me another chance, then I will give up, I will return to my pack, and you will never see me again. On getting out of the office and heading to her office, Amelia was met with Tony, who had just left one of the hospital's wards and was heading to his office.
Hey Amelia, just arriving?" Tony asked Amelia with a warm smile.
"Yes, Tony, I just arrived; I overslept a little bit today," Amelia said to Tony, who nodded in reply.
"Hope you have met with our new boss? He was asking about you earlier," Tony said to Amelia.
"You mean Adrian?" Amelia asked Tony.
"Yes, or should I say your boyfriend?" Tony asked Amelia.
"Tony, he's not my boyfriend; he's just a friend. And about what happened last night, please don't take it to mind; that's Adrian's nature. He's sometimes overprotective even if it's not necessary. But you have nothing to worry about; he's not a bad guy. As long as you don't get in his way, both of you will never have issues," Amelia said to Tony.
"And how can I avoid getting in his way? Let me guess, by not talking to you, right?" Tony asked Amelia.
"No, of course, Tony, you can always talk to me; we are colleagues after all," Amelia said to Tony in reply.
"Okay then, since we didn't get the chance to have dinner together yesterday, can we at least have lunch together today, or will your friend be angry about it also?" Tony asked Amelia.
"No, of course, let's do it," Amelia said to him.
"Okay then, see you during lunchtime," Tony said to Amelia with a victorious smile before turning and walking away.
