Chapter 241 241
Chapter 241 241
“Jason! Jasmine!! Both of you should hold each other’s hand immediately!”
The command cut through the roaring battlefield like a bolt of lightning. Two voices boomed from the far edge of the tree line. It was Mom and Dad.
They’re alive!
We didn’t hesitate. We didn’t look back—not even for a second.
I lunged to the side and grabbed Jasmine’s hand, holding it tightly as our fingers locked together.
The moment our hands met, something shifted.
I squeezed my eyes shut and I blocked out the screams, the running footsteps, and Lucious’s charging army.
Everything disappeared, all I could feel was the pounding of my heart.
I sank deep into my mind, reaching for something buried inside me.
Something powerful.
I pushed harder, drawing on everything Mom and Grandma had ever taught us.
And for the first time I didn’t fight the power inside me. I let it rise.
Let it manifest, I prayed. Now!
A blinding surge of energy exploded inside me.
It wasn’t just strong—it felt alive. When my eyes snapped open, everything had changed.
The battlefield, the chaos, the enemies… It all looked distant, like it was fading into another world.
I looked down at our joined hands.
They were no longer normal.
A silver flame—bright, glass-like, and terrifyingly beautiful was burning between our fingers.
It crackled with raw supernatural heat. In the next heartbeat, the silver fire surged upward.
It raced up our arms like lightning, wrapping around us completely and within seconds, Jasmine and I were swallowed in a towering blaze of silver light.
But it didn’t burn us. It protected us.
I turned my head slightly and looked at her.
Jasmine’s eyes were no longer human, they were solid silver and glowing powerful.
We weren’t just standing in a battlefield anymore. We had become something else entirely.
Lucious and his charging men froze dead in their tracks. The cocky smirks vanished from their faces, replaced by pure terror.
They stood there shaking, paralyzed by the sheer pressure of our twin bond power.
“What in the world is this?!” Lucious shrieked, his voice wasn’t confident anymore.
Fear slipped through the cracks of his arrogance as he took a step back.
His rogues, who had been charging moments ago, began to slow down, then they retreated slightly with him.
The silver light spilling from us wasn’t normal and even they could feel it.
Lucious’s eyes darted between us, unsettled now.
“What are you?” he hissed.
“You will find out soon, Monster.”
Jasmine and I stepped forward together at the exact same time, our movements perfectly synced.
A violent wind exploded through the clearing, roaring like a living beast that answered only to our power.
Without breaking our grip, we raised our joined hands high into the sky.
The moment we did, the wind turned into a storm.
A massive, spinning hurricane formed around Lucious and his men in seconds.
It swallowed them whole.
The force slammed into them so hard their bodies were ripped off the ground.
Rocks, dust, and debris swirled into the air as the whirlwind grew stronger.
The rogues screamed in terror, their voices swallowed by the howling wind as they spun helplessly inside the storm.
Lucious struggled against it, but even he was pulled into the chaos, his confidence finally breaking apart under the raw force of our power.
With a sharp snap of our hands, we brought them down. The hurricane vanished instantly and what followed was brutal.
Lucious and his men were slammed straight into the ground with heavy force.
The impact echoed through the clearing with sickening cracks. Bodies hit the ground hard and dust exploded everywhere.
Groans and broken screams filled the air as the rogues lay scattered, coughing up blood and struggling to move.
Even Lucious.
He was crawling backward in the dirt, his face twisted in pain, clutching his badly injured hand as fear finally took over his expression.
“Today, you shall finally meet your end, Lucious!” a powerful voice boomed from behind us.
Jasmine and I slowly released each other’s hands. The silver flames around us faded, sinking back into our skin like they had never been there.
We turned around.
From the edge of the clearing, our parents walked in.
Behind them came a massive army of Moon Pack warriors, moving in perfect formation, claws drawn and ready.
“You all were almost late,” Gab said weakly, his voice rough and strained. He tried to take a step forward, but his legs gave out slightly.
Without thinking, Jasmine and I rushed to him, we caught him on both sides and helped hold him up.
He leaned on us as we supported his weight, breathing hard but still standing.
Together, we looked back toward the battlefield.
Dad stepped forward, his expression softening with relief. Without warning, he pulled Gab, Jasmine and me into a tight, crushing hug.
“I’m so sorry we’re late, kids,” he said. “Lucious sent a full ambush to the pack house just as we were leaving.”
He held us a little tighter for a moment.
“We had to deal with them first before we could come here.”
Then he pulled back slightly, looking at us with pride in his eyes.
“But” he added, his voice steady, “I always believed in your strength. And I was right.”
Dad pulled back from the embrace and walked over to Roman, who was standing a few feet away, holding Kiara's hand while looking down at the ground in shame.
Dad reached out and hit Roman’s shoulder gently. “Thank you, Roman, for showing up and standing up for them. You agreed to come help and chose not to betray us again when we contacted you, even when we couldn't make it here on time.”
I blinked, looking between my parents and Roman in confusion. “So Mom, Dad... you all knew about this entire thing ahead of time? It was all planned without us?”
Mom stepped up beside Dad, her eyes sharp and unyielding.
“Yes, sweetheart,” she said firmly. “Gab told us everything the same day Lucious ordered him to lure you out in exchange for our lives.”
She glanced at Gab briefly, then back at us.
“He knew exactly what Lucious was. He knew a monster like that would never keep his word.”
Her gaze shifted to the ground.
Lucious lay there, injured and barely moving, still trying to push himself away.
Mom’s expression hardened instantly.
“We need justice,” she said coldly. “And we need to end this monster’s life before he slips from our fingers again.”
Lucious coughed, spitting blood into the dirt as he tried to push himself up with one trembling arm.
His eyes burned with hatred as he locked onto Gab.
“So, Gab…” he rasped, his voice weak but still venomous. “You planned all of this, didn’t you? You set me up.”
Gab’s fists tightened instantly.
“You’re a monster, Lucious!” he shouted, his voice breaking with raw emotion. “A monster who deserves everything bad coming to him!”
Dad didn’t hesitate for another second.
He raised his hand sharply toward the Moon Pack warriors.
“Kill Lucious’s men,” he ordered coldly. “Now. Don’t let a single one escape this field.”
A unified roar answered him. The warriors surged forward at once, claws drawn, moving with deadly precision.
What remained of Lucious’s forces barely had time to react before they were overwhelmed.
One by one, the rogues were taken down as the Moon Pack closed in, ending the threat across the clearing with brutal efficiency.
Lucious let out a low, broken laugh.
His eyes stayed fixed on Gab as a cruel smile stretched across his bloodied face.
“Gab…” he rasped. “Would you like to hear what really happened to your precious mother, Sandra?”
He coughed, then laughed again.
“How she cried… how she begged when I killed her beloved fiancé, Sam Dominic, right in front of her.”
His grin widened.
“Or maybe you’d like to know how sweet she was when I dragged her down into the dirt?”
The words landed like poison. Gab snapped, as a roar tore out of him as he lunged forward.
Before anyone could stop him, he grabbed Lucious by the neck and hauled him upward with raw, shaking fury.
“Don’t you dare mention their names with your filthy mouth!!” Gab muttered, his body shaking with deep, agonizing pain.
Lucious only laughed, a horrible, gurgling sound that made everyone freeze for a split second.
Then everything changed in an instant. Before anyone could react, his free hand moved fast.
A hidden silver dagger flashed from his boot.
Gab barely had time to register it.
With a vicious snarl, Lucious drove the blade straight into Gab’s stomach.
Gab staggered, a sharp cry tearing out of him as pain exploded through his body.
“Ah!!” Gab screamed, his leg giving out beneath him.
Lucious used the moment of pain without hesitation.
With a sudden burst of strength, he twisted and forced Gab’s arm behind his back, wrenching him upright.
Gab groaned, weakened from the dagger wound, unable to break free.
In one swift motion, Lucious dragged him forward and locked him in front of his body.
The silver blade moved instantly to Gab’s throat.
A thin line of blood appeared as the edge pressed in.
“Stay back!” Lucious snarled.
We all moved forward at once, panic flashing across our faces.
Lucious tightened his grip and pressed the blade harder, stopping us in our tracks.
Gab froze, breathing sharply, trapped as a human shield once again.
“Move back, all of you!” Lucious spat, his voice shaking now. “Or I swear I’ll kill him right now!”
His eyes darted wildly across the clearing, like a cornered beast searching for escape.
The blade stayed tight against Gab’s throat.
Panic rippled through the warriors, forcing them to hesitate.
“Don’t listen to him!” Gab shouted, struggling against the chokehold. “Kill the monster now! Even if I die, don’t let him escape!”
His voice broke, but his resolve didn’t. “End this immediately!”
Lucious bared his teeth, his face twisted in desperation and rage.
He pressed the blade tighter against Gab’s throat as he stared directly at my parents, Roman, and me.
“You all have two choices,” he hissed. “Step back and let me walk out of here or stay right there and watch your precious Gab die.”
No one moved, because there was no clean way to reach Lucious without risking Gab’s life.
And Lucious knew it.
