Chapter 44
(Damian's POV).
"Juliette?" I knocked on Juliette's bedroom door to wake her up. It was already nine in the morning and Juliette still hadn't come down for breakfast. I thought that maybe Juliette was still angry with me and didn't want to see me. But she still had to eat because she was pregnant.
So I decided to go to her room and bring her food. I wanted to do my best for her even though she hated me. I was very happy when I found out that Juliette was pregnant, but I knew that she didn't like her pregnancy. I just hope that someday her hatred for me disappears because I can feel that Juliette loves me too.
"Juliette?" I called again as I knocked on the door, but there was no response from her. I am forced to open it and when I enter, I am surprised to see Juliette not in her bed.
I put the tray of food onto the bedside table and checked for Juliette in the bathroom, but she wasn't there either. Panic started to set in when I couldn't find her scent anywhere.
"Juliette?!" I shouted. I ran to the balcony and looked around. I tried to smell Juliette or Kaye, but I couldn't find them!
My face paled. I felt very uneasy and scared, especially with my current thoughts. Juliette should be in her room right now with Kaye watching over her.
"Fuck!" I swore loudly and ran out of the room. I ran down the stairs and saw that Gabriel had just walked into the house with his breath taken away.
"A-Alpha!" he exclaimed with panic on his face. His face was as pale as mine.
"Where's Juliette?!" I demanded in a burst of anger. My eyes bulged and my hands clenched into tight fists.
"I-I'm sorry...."
"Damn it!" I yelled at Gabriel and pushed his body against the glass wall. I grabbed him by the collar. "What's going on?! Where's Juliette?! Didn't I tell Kaye to keep an eye on her?!" I shouted.
Gabriel growled in pain. His breathing was labored. He tried to ask to be released, but I ignored him. Fear struck me when Juliette left me, something I had feared for a long time. Especially now that she was pregnant.
"I-I just found out too," Gabriel said with a stammer.
I released my grip and looked at him sharply. Gabriel coughed as he touched his reddened neck.
"Where's Juliette?" I hissed. I looked at her sharply.
"I-It seems that last night Luna had run away. I found Kaye unconscious in her house. Or maybe someone had kidnapped her," Gabriel said. He looked at me with fear.
"Goddamn it!" I shouted. I punched the glass wall until it shattered and Gabriel screeched as the broken glass hit his body and gave him a scratch on his face. "Can't you do your job properly?!" I scolded.
"I-I'm sorry."
"Search for Juliette until you find her. I don't want to know if she has to be found today!" I commanded. My jaw hardened. My muscles were tense with anxiety and fear. My chest felt so tight that I was struggling to breathe. I was still fine, so I didn't think Juliette was in any danger.
"Alright, Alpha," Gabriel said haltingly.
"If you can't find her by sunset. I will kill you," I hissed as I clenched my fists. "And call Kaye here..." I ordered.
I need an explanation from him as to why he was unconscious and made Juliette run away from me. Damn. I shouldn't have let Juliette sleep alone. I was too careless and allowed Juliette to escape. I thought that ordering Kaye to keep an eye on her would prevent Juliette from escaping, but I was wrong.

"What's going on?!" I grabbed Kaye by the collar when he arrived home. "Didn't I tell you to keep an eye on her the whole time? How could she escape, huh?!" I shouted. My anger exploded.
"Kaye told me that last night Sam came over to him. He gave him a drink and then he suddenly felt dizzy and passed out. In the morning he woke up in his house," Gabriel said.
I looked sharply at Gabriel, then back at Kaye. "Is it true what Gabriel said?" I asked him to confirm.
Kaye nodded,
"Looks like this was Sam's plan," Gabriel said.
"Fuck! Was it when he went to Juliette yesterday to help her escape," I said. I pushed Kaye's body roughly. My hands were clenched tightly with anger in my eyes. "I will never forgive him. I will kill him!" I shouted.
"A-Alpha," Gabriel called as I was about to walk out.
"What?!" I shouted.
"Beta Sam. He's no longer at his house. I checked and it looks like he also left Pack with Agatha. Looks like they planned this," he informed me.
"Asshole!!!" I shouted. I slammed the chair beside me. My anger exploded with a feeling of dread that hit me like a sledgehammer.
"I'll try to find Luna. I'm sure she must still be around," Gabriel said.
I sat down with mixed feelings. I didn't know what to do after losing Juliette. The only person who knew where she had gone was Sam, but Sam had also run away.
"Search them until you find them. Find Juliette first," I ordered, my jaw tightened."if I find them, I'll kill them on the spot," I hissed. My eyes darkened with anger.
"Understand, Alpha Damian."
I watched Kaye and Gabriel leave the house. While I was there with a feeling of loss that made me feel claustrophobic. Like all the air was gone and I couldn't breathe. I clutched my chest, it hurt so much that I couldn't help it.
"Juliette. Why are you doing this to me?" I whispered. "You should have stayed by my side. You shouldn't have left me!" I shouted.
I slammed into the wall in front of me until the back of my hand was bleeding. I didn't care how much it hurt, because it was nothing compared to the pain of losing Juliette.
"I will find you, Juliette. No matter where you go and hide. I will bring you back into my arms."
