Chapter 39

(Sam's POV)

"Sam, why did you have to go this far?" I looked at Agatha who was sitting on the sofa with panic on her face. I went over to her and took her hand.

"Are you scared?"

"Yes, I'm scared. I was afraid you'd get hurt. You know that I love you, Sam," she whispered. Her eyes were glazed over.

I kissed her lips and gently rubbed her cheeks. "Don't worry. I'm not going to die. You heard it yourself that Juliette won't let Damian bother us," I told her.

"But still. Damian could break his promise and kill us without Juliette knowing," she said to me, looking so scared.

"I've come up with a good plan to destroy Damian, so you don't have to worry."

"Plan?" she frowned. "What plan? Why do you want to destroy him so badly? Don't tell me that you still love Juliette and are doing all this because of her. You're also the one who spread the rumors all over the pack and made Juliette know about it."

"Didn't I tell you that I no longer love her? I love you and I'm doing this because of my hatred for Damian. He's too arrogant to be the Alpha king. And I hate the fact that he woke up because of Juliette."

"What do you mean?"

"Damian is the Alpha Awakening. And his werewolf woke up because of Juliette. I only found out about it a while ago. Now I understand why he separated me from Juliette because he wanted to make sure Juliette belonged to him. And all his enemies are trying to hurt Juliette because they know the bond of life between them."

"Bond?"

"Damian will die if Juliette dies, Agatha. That's why Damian is so possessive of Juliette. Because their lives are interconnected. Their conditions are much more special than ours," I told her.

I don't love Juliette anymore, but I'm angry with the fact that he did it on purpose to get Juliette. And I'm also upset by the way he treats me as if I'm a useless piece of trash. He did everything in his own cunning and rude way. He was so arrogant for being the Alpha Awakening that was feared by many, he was aware that he had many enemies, but he never felt afraid.

"Now, since he has marked Juliette as his mate. All of his enemies are trying to come up with a plan to harm Juliette. Because she is the only key to destroying Damian."

Agatha's face turned pale. "Does that mean you're going to kill Juliette too?"

"You think I would?" I looked at Agatha and she shook her head.

"You said to yourself that you care about Juliette," she said.

"That's right, I just need to destroy Damian in another way, but I also need to get help because I can't do it alone."

"That's why you're working with Alpha Xander."

I nodded. "He has a grudge against Damian. And I don't think working with him would be a bad idea."

"But I'm still scared if something bad happens to us," she whispered, softly. I felt her hand trembling as she grasped my hand.

"Don't worry, Agatha. I will never leave you. I won't let anyone hurt you either," I told her. I kissed her lips briefly and looked back at her.

"I heard that Juliette is pregnant," she informed me.

"Pregnant?"

"Yes. It's the talk of many women and apparently, Damian has tightened the guard around his house."

I grinned. "That's great news," I said.

Juliette's pregnancy shouldn't have been this soon, but I wasn't surprised by the news either. Right now Juliette must be hating herself because she's carrying Damian's wolf baby while he's the murderer of her parents.

I'm going to use this to make Juliette leave Damian and break him.

"Stay home and I'll go for a while," I said, then.

"Where are you going?"

"To meet Xander."

***

That night, I left the pack area carefully. I had to make sure none of Damian's men were following me or watching my movements so that he would never know that I had teamed up with Xander to destroy him.

We met at the border and I entered Xander's quarters.

"I have important information for you," I told him.

"What information?"

"Juliette is currently pregnant," I told him.

I saw Xander smirk at what I said. But when I glanced at his hands, he was clenched into fists holding back his anger.

"He must be so happy because he's going to have offspring soon," he hisses, "while I'll never get that because he killed my woman."

I still couldn't believe that Damian was so cruel. There seems to be nothing good in him. Since childhood, I felt that he was different from other Alphas. And I thought he woke up because of his Mate, but it turned out that it was all because of Juliette. He was always acting strange and doing unusual things so many of them were more afraid of Damian than their father, but they also respected Damian because even though he was young, he was good at fighting and his strength exceeded that of other Alphas so he could protect the Pack from other packs' attacks.

"Do you have any other plans to destroy Damian?" I asked him. "Right now Juliette is pregnant and she hates him so much after learning that Damian killed her parents. You can use Juliette as a weapon against Damian."

"That bastard has no heart. And I feel sorry for his mate for falling into the arms of a monster like him."

"She's my ex-mate," I confessed to him, and he looked surprised at my statement.

"Oh, really? Well then, let's show Damian what it's like to lose the mate he loves. Like he once did to us."

I looked at Xander carefully. "What plan are you thinking about now?" I asked curiously.

“I'll take Juliette? Well, because Juliette already hated Damian, it was easy for me to seduce her so that she would leave Damian with their child. I'm sure he'll go crazy."

"And after that? What would you do?"

“I'll torture him until I'm satisfied. Then I will kill him slowly so that he will suffer like hell!”
