Chapter 33
(Damian's POV).
I was shocked when I was told by Gabriel that the rumor about me killing Juliette's parents had spread in the pack. I rushed to the training ground and saw that everyone was in a tense mood with Juliette in a rage.
I knew that this moment would come sooner or later. But I didn't know it would be this soon. And I'm sure that right now Juliette is feeling shocked and angry after learning that I was the one who killed her parents.
But I did it too because I had to. They tried to kill me because they didn't want me to take Juliette as my Luna. Because they know that I am the Alpha Awakening and many enemies are trying to destroy me.
If I get Juliette as my Luna, our destinies merge as well as our lives.
That night, I managed to survive death and I took revenge for what Juliette's parents did. I told Kaye to kill and burn down Juliette's house to erase all evidence. But I didn't expect that Sam was there and saw the incident.
I still don't know who spread this rumor, but I would have killed that person right away if I had known about it. Because if Juliette were to reject me, our lives would be completely ruined.
"T-That's impossible...." I heard her voice tremble after I told her the truth. About Alpha Awakening and the risks involved if one of us got hurt. This was a horrifying destiny that only some Alphas had. And I had dragged Juliette into a dark, bottomless vortex.
But I couldn't do anything either because my destiny would ensure she became mine. Making sure she becomes my Luna and continues to be beside me. I had to make sure she stayed safely within my reach.
"You can ask Gabriel to make sure," I told her.
She glared at me with an expression of disbelief. "You're all the same. Gabriel is your right-hand man, so it's easy for him to lie to protect you," she said coldly.
"Then you want me to prove it to you?" I challenged her.
I turned my head to the side and saw a knife lying on the ground. I picked it up and gave it to Juliette even though she rebelled against it.
"What are you doing?!" she cried in panic.
"To prove what I said it was true," I said.
I grabbed Juliette's hand that was holding the knife, then I pointed it at my shoulder.
Her eyes widened in surprise. Panic and fear were evident on her face. I could feel her body trembling violently as the tip of the knife hit my shoulder.
"What are you doing!?" she yelled as she tried to pull the knife away, but I pressed it down firmly, piercing through my skin.
I growled in pain as the knife had embedded itself in my shoulder and fresh blood oozed out through my wound. At that moment, I saw Juliette screaming in pain.
"No, no! Stop it! Damian, stop!" she hysterically sobbed as she felt the same pain I was currently feeling. Her face was deathly pale while her beautiful hazel eyes widened in fear.
I immediately removed my hand from her and the blood-soaked knife fell to the ground.
"Now you've seen thatー" I paled as she sobbed while covering my wound with her hand. Trying to make the blood in my wound not keep coming out.
"No, no. Do something with this!" she screamed in terror. I could feel her panicking so much that my chest felt like it was being stabbed by a thousand knives and it was so painful.
Is this what it feels like to be a Mate destined to share a life? I can feel the pain she feels, and vice versa. And it made us feel tortured to death when we felt our partner's life was threatened.
"T-The blood... it won't stop coming out!!!" she glared at me with tears streaming down her face. "Damian!!!" She was terrified, still holding my wound with her hands shaking violently.
Suddenly I felt Juliette's breath catch and she gasped with her limp body falling into my arms. I immediately held her firmly and realized that she had fainted in my arms.

I brought Juliette home right away and laid her on the bed while Gabriel came to treat my wound. I kept staring at Juliette with the uneasy feeling of not knowing what would happen next in our relationship.
I didn't want to see her hurt or sad, but I couldn't do anything about her hatred and anger at me for killing her parents.
"Are you sure you don't need to call a doctor?" asked Gabriel after he finished bandaging my wound.
"It's just a minor injury. No need to call a doctor," I told him.
Gabriel looked at me. "Did that really happen? When you were hurt and Luna could feel it?" he asked.
"Hm. I even felt it when Juliette was attacked a while ago. My chest hurt so much that I couldn't bear it," I said as I touched my chest.
"So what will you do now to Luna?"
"I have to be patient with her. I knew this would happen, so I had to do everything I could to keep her by my side. It doesn't matter if it has to be violent," I said while looking straight at Juliette who was still unconscious.
"Regarding this rumor, I will find out who spread it," said Gabriel, getting up from the sofa.
"The only other person who knows about this problem is Sam," I also stood up and looked at Gabriel. "Let me take care of it."
“Yes, Alpha Damian.” He bowed and walked out of the room.
I approached the bed and sat down, watching Juliette. Wiping her cheeks and removing the strands of hair. Her white face became very pale and her eyes looked tired and puffy from crying too much.
“I'll be patient with you, so don't be too hard on me, Juliette.” I leaned down and whispered against her lips. “I don't want to hurt you, but I don't want to lose you either.” I kissed her softly.
